Extremely beautiful views. Great road to get to the trail head.Parking available at the East peak trail head. Need to pay manually. Go early to get parking. The East peak trail to the summit is short and moderately difficult. It gets rocky but it will all be worth it once you get to the peak. Carry water. Wear good shoes. Train is defined well.

This is one of the easiest hike with great view point. The drive to the Mt Tamalpais is beautiful. Parking could be limited on a busy weekend. Also they have a $7 parking free cash only. Make sure you carry the cash or they also have a option of paying via app, however you would not find the signal to download the app. The trail to Mount Tamalpais is easy and quick and would recommend for a sunrise or sunset. Make sure to carry a hat, one of water and applying sunscreen on shinny sunny day. The view point gives you the view of entire Bay Area. The fire lookout is not accessible. Overall a good 2-3 hours pass time. There are other view points on the way as well which are good

Great hike to the East Peak/Gardner Fire Lookout. It's uphill and the first portion is paved then wood planks then steps, but after that it's dirt and rocks. We did it with young kids (1, 3, and 5 years old), but it was a trek for the little ones (we carried the 1 year old). Would recommend waiting for a clear day, probably not worth it if it's really cloudy/foggy. You have to pay for parking with either cash in the provided envelope or via an app on your phone (free wifi is conveniently provided at the parking lot; look for how to connect via the sign at the parking pay stand).

Want a 360 panorama view? Head straight to the east peak of Mt. Tam. It’s a quick climb upstairs from the parking area. (Don’t forget to pay online for the parking). Once up, there’s the main view point and another short trail that leads even farther south. Have it all to yourself. Very peaceful. You can spot the clouds rolling in from the ocean and the city going to sleep as the sun goes down. Definitely a go to place for a getaway from routine work.

This is an incredible place, the view is wonderful, the trail is very easy to walk, children and older adults can do it very easily, you can go with your pet, bathrooms. My recommendation is to arrive early, 7 or 8 am and the parking lot is practically yours, there are other trails around where you can ride a bike or take long walks. I will have to go at a different time of year.

The drive up to the trail head is full of nice surprises. You are above the clouds in about 2300 feet height. The trail is short but amazing every steps away. Every corner offers different views. Mountains, trails, bridges, ocean and cities. We even saw Turkey vulture took off right in front of us. Magnificent!

Beautiful landscape and view to the Bay Area. A good way to connect with nature while getting a peaceful moment in the top of the mountain. Parking was $8 per vehicle please take cash, you can pay scanning the code there but internet available doesn’t always work.

Gorgeous and accessible to those with various mobility levels. Highly recommend. About 8 dollars to park so I'd recommend taking your time and enjoying the area. Views are worth the drive up.

Wow. The views were excellent. Bring rugged shoes because it is rocky. For .3 miles, it felt longer walking up. It also felt like a twisted ankle waiting to happen. There are restrooms and picnic tables at the bottom. It is a nice accomplishment. Parking $8.
