Finally Vallejo gets a serious authentic Mexican restaurant!!! We are close neighbors and completely thrilled these great people have finally opened. 3 meals so far! Wet red burrito is tasty and huge! Fresca bisteca! It’s just awesome. Obviously they are opening slowly & without a lot of fanfare. It’s just solid food and my wife & me cannot be happier…. 🥹

everything i ordered was off in someway, the tacos were bland, flavorless with low quality steak. The chorizo queso dip isnt even queso, its melted sprinkled cheese with chorizo sprinkled on top, you cant even dip in the cheese, because its not a sauce. The nacho fries were horrible, soggy fries, Underwhelmed for first try

Food was excellent. Clean environment. Great sauces. They do need more exposure. Hopefully, this helps.

Honestly, this is by far one of the best Mexican Restaurant i’ve went to. The prices are decent. The workers are respectful, patient, nice, and hardworking. The service is great, the food is delicious, and the environment is welcoming. So far my favorite dish has been the super grilled chicken burrito. Delicious 😋 I can really tell how much work they’ve put into the restaurant as a family. Thank youuu!!

I recently moved to Vallejo four months ago. I’ve made it a point to check out every Mexican food place and see which one was the best. Let me tell you Taqueria has exceeded my expectations!! They are by far the best Mexican food I’ve ever had and not just here, they are better than any place I’ve been to in my life. The customer service is EXCELLENT the establishment is always clean, very clean. The prices did surprise me because after I tasted my food, I just couldn’t figure out why they aren’t CHARGING MORE!! 😀 10/10

Food was good! Ordered tacos and steak carne asada plate. Best Mexican food I've had in Vallejo. Additionally this restaurant was super clean and well maintained unlike most places in Vallejo. Staff was really nice and friendly and took the time to give me recommendations and to tell me the beef was freshly sliced that morning. You can tell they really care and put a lot of effort into their business. Also has a drive through window.

I love the ease of this place, the amazing service, and tasty food. They have drive thru, delivery, and dine in. They have buttons at the booths to call the server if you want. The food was bomb and they have great drinks and dessert too. Very friendly people, excited for our next time there. Highly recommend!

My favorite new spot, tacos de carnitas y al pastor pretty good, loved the horchata but ice coffee was pretty impressed 👌 service was excellent. It's definitely my new spot for tacos on my drill weekends.

This place is sooo good! My husband doesn't like everyone's tacos but these are amazing ! They have fresh Agua Fresca, none of that fake stuff. And their beans and burritos are to DIE for. And it tastes good the next day which is not common for taquerias. Its also a taquiera with a drive through so one would think it was eww but nope its delicious!! They have a rewards program and delivery too!! None of that Door Dash fees and stuff. I was sad that I just found this place right before I move but they have a place in Richmond too 😆 ! So happy. Love this place.

Strange. I got a shrimp burrito here and it was good. But I just went and got a chicken burrito and it made me throw up. It tasted really strange. I asked the lady about getting a refund and she refused, she didn't even try and offer something else in exchange. I only ate a few bites. I won't be going back here ever again. I don't recommend this place at all. The burrito was much smaller this time. Not sure where the quality and taste went, but it's gone now. I went again, and it's been a while since I've gone. I won't have a chicken burrito again, but the shrimp burritos have all been great tasting. But I will say, the 1st one I bought was large, now they are always very slim and don't have the same number of shrimp as before. It makes it hard to come back when things change. It'll probably be a long time before I come back.

I ordered the chile verde. It was the middle of the afternoon so the place was mostly empty. The chili verde was delicious, tender, spicy; had large hunks of fat but they were easily separated. The beans and rice were room temperature. Not cold, not warm, not hot. The tortillas were steaming hot. They have a call button at the booth, if you need anything.

We are fairly new to Vallejo and have been on a hunt to a good taqueria. I am so glad we found La Estrella. The food is delicious and customer service is great. 10/10 recommend

I judge a Mexican restaurant by their Lengua tacos. This place has some of the most tender lengua I’ve ever tried. It was delicious. I’ve tried it in tacos and burritos and it doesn’t disappoint. A little hidden gem in Vallejo. Def adding them to my Mexican food restaurant rotation.

Absolutely the best brick and mortar for Mexican food in Vallejo. We seriously go, at least, once a week. Have not had one thing that wasn't absolutely fire! The owners are so friendly, and they know my wife and I at this point and light up with joy every time we go there. If you're on the fence, or even in denial, give their food a shot. Quesabirria tacos are made with larger corn tortillas than most other restaurants use and are crazy good..

We had take out from there and it was amazing! We didn't use the drive through and the restaurant was very clean and nice. I had a taco salad and it was very well balanced and craveable!

Clearly lot of care and hard work went into making this a warm and friendly environment. The service is amazing- and the food is great. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. We did tonight and we are glad they are part of the neighborhood!

I love Mexican food and welcome all new businesses even when Vallejo already has a few very good and established mexican restaurants. I stopped by for dinner shortly after the grand opening. My observation was the music was way too loud to the point a conversation was difficult. Food was ok. Not bad but not great either. I've had better elsewhere. There are no complimentary chips which is fine but you pay $1.50 for tortilla chips that tasted like they came from a bag (not made fresh in house) and only get about 7-8 in a small paper bowl. Salsa is served in those tiny take out containers. Customer service was good and friendly. This is constructive criticism and only hope it helps the restaurant strive to be the best it can be.
