Impressive statue ! One of the best attractions in Cotonou recently. It represents the women soldiers in the ancient Danxomè kingdom (part of Benin republic nowadays). Just before it at the other side of the road, a beautiful garden where you can have amazing photo shoot !

I like the visit to this memorable and breathtaking statue in republic of Benin. To the memory of the old time warriors and patriotic women of old. This will help sustain the historical background of the former Dahomey and now republic of Benin. I like where it's situated, right in the city of Cotonou. Its quite close to the beach which is an additional feature and tourist place. It will be nice to have a tour guide to give little talk and historical background to this image. I enjoyed my visit and view of the place.

Great place to visit if you're in Cotonou. This statue is historic. If you've seen the movie, "Woman King", know that this statue is set up in honour of the heroic Dahome all-female warrior league known as the Agoje or Amazons. It's a great place to visit with family and friends. The statue is gigantic and the environment is peaceful as well as colourful. In my opinion, the best time to visit is early evening or early morning, before the sun is at its peak. These two times make for great pictures.

It's situated in the Central Business District of the city and is a towering statue that tells a tale of the heritage of the warrior women of Benin Republic. There's the Presidential Palace adjacent to the Amazon statue, a Conference Centre beside it, and a couple of notable buildings owned by the Beninoise government. The area is generally beautiful and equally suitable for memorable pictures.

It’s a beautiful tourist attraction with a beehive of people and activities. The statue is HUGE!!! so much that taking a walk around it feels like exercise. Lol. It’s in the heart of the city, there’s a beach behind- Obama beach I think, and just central to everywhere. I love the significance of the statue which is giving credit to women for their contribution towards the building of modern day Benin.
