Very very poor food service at bowling. Half of the other game machines doesn't work. Waste of money and time. Ended up with a big disappointment. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

We brought our son and his two friends for his birthday. We came on Sunday to do the unlimited wrist band for $10. The kids enjoyed laser tag playing arcade games in between rounds. We payed for unlimited bowling for us. It was fun, but not advertised appropriately. After one hour we were kicked off which was confusing since we payed for unlimited. When we went to question why we were kicked off they told us we had to get on a wait list. This is something that should be told when you buy UNLIMITED. NOT after they kick you off. We signed up for the wait list but after an hour of waiting we had to leave. So we paid to play unlimited but were only allowed 1 hour of time to play.

This place is so cool - it's like Dave & Busters meets Pinstripes! Well organized, good prices. Coming back in a month for a birthday party.

After having a rough first start of the day here the Manager Tedd made a huge difference. We came here for my son's birthday and it was our first time. When we were told that certain items were not part of the pass Tedd assisted us and made the day so much more enjoyable for the kids. I would highly recommend coming and enjoying your time with family at this location. He could have just shrugged us off but he was a true manager and did his job professionally. Great Job Tedd!!!

Main Event is the best place for all out entertainment! There’s bowling, there’s an arcade, there’s gravity ropes, there’s laser tag, there’s pool and shuffle board, there’s everything! Not only that, but all the equipment is high quality. I went here back in 2018 and again in 2024 and it’s still the same great place. Great for parties or to just come with a few friends.

No one would answer the phone so we could ask if they had all the activities available. Drove 30 min. Turns out Zipline and lazer tag were closed (why we came.) VR games are blurry/need repair. Some of the machines weren't working/took our credits. The ice cream machine wasn't working. Music was way too loud. Bowling scores glitched multiple times, not logging the score. Needs new management or something. Hopefully better next time.

Main Event is a fantastic spot for both kids and adults! The bowling arcade, along with a variety of drinks, adds to the enjoyment. The ambience is great, providing lots of space for everyone. Although it can get a bit crowded, it doesn't pose any significant issues. Overall, a fun-filled destination for all ages.

Good place but can handle crowd till a certain point. We were 13 people waiting for laser tag, could not even get our vest in 2 turns. Some of the machines/cards are out of order. It deducts credits from your card but does not start.

Best expirience ever with arcade games, neon bowling, pool, zip-line, virtual expirience games… Food & unlimited fountain drinks. We had such a good time and the attention was good, we get little things solved and the staff was very nice. Will surely come back and enjoy our time over and over.

Came late on a week bight to bowl and only had a couple people using the lanes. Great bowling alley! Very clean and well maintained, the only bummer was that depending on your finger size (I need large finger holes in my bowling ball) you may not be able to find the right size ball you want. I looked everywhere for a lighter ball with large finger holes and they don't exist. Otherwise, $30 to bowl wasn't bad!

Had my sons 16th birthday here. We were walk ins cus we planned poorly, but you’d never know it. We were greeted immediately, seated seconds later, with drinks and food in the table in 20 mins… and we were a party of 12! We’ll done, Main Event! Only drawback, this place is pricey!

Attended a birthday party for my grandson yesterday. My daughter ordered some nachos. As you can see in the photo, it was the most unappetizing plate of sparse toppings I have ever experienced. Looks like it was prepared by a two year old. Basically a plate of tortillas with a few pieces of meat thrown on top. Yuk! I sent it back.

This is a poorly ran bowling alley and company. When making a reservation, their site requires you pay for it with a credit card. It won’t let you pay with a gift card. Called this location over 10 times and no one answers the phone. Went into the location to see if they can make the reservation and use my gift card. Said they dont take reservations and would have to horrible wait times to get a lane (if you want to use a gift card). They said system doesn’t allow them to take reservations. Strangely, their website does. And if you make the reservation online they make you pay for shoes when we already have them. Told me they wont refund me if make the reservation online (paying with a credit card) and then refund at the time of reservation so I can pay with a gift card. So i went to another much nicer bowling down the street and made a reservation without having to pay for anything! At the end of the day, main event is poorly ran and doesn't want to do anything to accommodate their customers.

It's a good place to take the kids for a quick distraction during the winter times. Kind of pricey, and when we went the food court was closed. Did not ask if that's because of the ongoing pandemic. Either way this is a good place to hangout out for an hour or so.

I was here for my nephew's birthday party. It was incredibly loud and there were a lot of people in the building. My sister in law did some kind of shin dig where it was bowling and pizza and cake for his birthday. We got there on time for the event and waited easily 20 min for shoes, and as a result the kids only managed 6 rounds of bowling before the were ushered towards food. My sister in law admitted to being frustrated that the pizza order was wrong, but the pizza was absolutely delicious. The person in charge of her area was a curly haired brunette guy, very young, and he honestly seemed like he was over it and hated being there. He tried very hard and did a decent job despite the overall attitude, but giving one person a group of 15 kids and 10 adults seems like they are setting him up for failure. It was loud and crowded, and we were there 5pm on a Saturday. The bathrooms were a bit gross. Toilet paper was littering the floor, there was urine on the toilets. I cleaned it up a bit and washed my hands thoroughly and did let the staff know.

We had so much fun. I love that they have several pricing options which makes it affordable to all. I also enjoyed that it is big and spacious enough where even with as many people as were there, it still didn't feel crowded and participating in games was constant. I'm definitely considering having bdays there next year. Absolutely coming back for more!

Main event is a great place to host a birthday party. Host took care of everything and strictly followed the agreed upon contract. They also rolled well with issues like losing all the soda machines. The venue it's self is pure beautiful chaos of action and colors that the kids love.

Main Event is a great multiple activity spot for both the adults and kids. Bowling is always fun for the family and definitely recommend a reservation on the weekends as the place can get full quickly on busy nights. Arcade games and ticket games are always fun and there a jumbo size versions of some of the classic carnival games (jumbo crane game with huge stuffed animals).

Arrived at open on a Monday. There were candy wrappers all over the ground. Every step I took was sticky. Several of the arcade games my daughter played didn't work. This is pathetic for an establishment like this to not clean up before opening. I often wanted to cleanse my hands and sanitizer stations were difficult to find. When I found them, they were empty. How is an arcade not regularly cleaned? I was shocked at how poorly this place presented itself. I don't recommend. Drive a bit further and have a much better time at Dave and Buster's or Enterrium.

Arcade filled with all sorts of games, bowling, pool/ bar/ laser tag ect. It’s always packed on the weekend. All ages can go here when it’s not busy and you don’t have to wait for the lines. It goes really quick. I’ve blown through $100 in less than an hour.

We recently had the pleasure of spending an afternoon here, and wow, what an experience! Trevor, one of their staff, was the star of our visit. right from the start, his infectious energy and warm personality caught our attention. he made our kids feel like the most important people in the room, patiently guiding them through the arcade games, and his professional, yet approachable demeanor had us thinking he must be the manager! he seamlessly juggled tasks while always maintaining a friendly smile, which made our time there even more enjoyable. honestly, Trevor's attention to detail, along with his understanding of the place was incredibly impressive. you know it's those personal touches and the genuine care from people like Trevor that transform a good day out into an unforgettable experience. can't wait for our next family outing here, and we're definitely hoping Trevor will be there to make it another memorable one!

I took my daughter here for her 6th birthday, everything was great. This environment was accommodating for kids, teenagers and parents. The drinks were not over priced, I had a really good time with my family here.

Great place to go and have fun. It's got a mix of a lot of different things to do so most people will find things they like. The place is run very efficiently with timed appointments for the special activities such as laser tag or the zip line. Rarely had to wait for anything. Would recommend.

We have taken our 3 girls here a few times and even had a birthday party. However this last experience was no good. Arrived at 3pm, was told 1.5 hour wait for bowling. So we got food and arcade credits for the time being. Now the rates for bowling change at 5pm. By 4pm they had multiple open lanes, didn't get a lane until after 5. When still had 11 other lanes open, then charged us for the after 5 rate. And we had a bad lane with having to reset every 3rd ball. Only credit us 10 min. Not cool. I think they need some adults running the joint.

  • 1/5 Abbie S. 6 months ago on Google
The food was pretty gross, and we had to wait forever to get a table (even though most were empty) we had to wait forever for someone to take our order and we had to literally hunt down our waitress in order to pay our bill. As for the bowling our lane repeatedly malfunctioned and the lane next to us kept malfunctioning and the staff made us wait to continue our game several times. They did give us extra time but it was still irritating. There was also literally broken glass on the floor where children were walking. Overall the staff seemed sort of negligent and the experience wasn’t worth the money spent. 1.5 stars if I could do half star ratings.

This place is good for children, but if you think that you could stop by to have a beer and watch a game here, I advise you to pick another place. While the organized birthday party for kids is going semi-smooth, the bar and the restaurant for the adults is on another level. Severely understaffed and inexperienced youngsters are left alone to take care of the customers. I came here hungry, ordered a chicken sandwich, 3 hours later left this place hungry (the sandwich never came), the food to the rest of the people in our group of 6 people came almost 90 min after we sat on the table, so I didnt have the time and patience to order food again. The only IPA beer this place has is Anti-hero, but the waiter disregarded my order because he didn't know how to spell it, so we had to beg the bartender to pour one for me. Honestly, I think the boy was new, but in 20% occupancy the management should be able to handle a restaurant with 3 full tables. The beer choices are limited to mass produced lagers, nothing interesting here. The food is typical for a chain restaurant, burgers, chicken strips, wings, nachos, etc, nothing interesting, about the quality of the food I can't say because I didn't taste it. Overall, it was a disappointing end of a day for me, but the children had fun. Most likely I would never come back here again, and dont recommend this place. You could say it was a waiter mistake in my experience, but we came to a BD party here, had two bowling lanes and one was faulty so it took them 20 min to repair it and we had 1 hour to play. Then, one of the unlimited arcade cards stopped working after the third play, the kid asked 3 times the personnel to fix it, and we decided to use the other kids cards instead of keep asking. I hope you have a different experience here, but I've already made my decision since this was one the worst restaurant experiences in the last 10 years for me.

DO NOT EAT HERE HORRIBLE and SLOW SERVICE!! Man where do i start?.... first the sign says to visit the bowl desk to be seated to eat, there were 5 to 6 people behind the desk with a large waiting line with 2 check outs open... takes forever. And then once we get up to the desk the girl tells us we actually need to seat ourselves (wasted our time waiting in line to be told to seat ourselves) and a waitress will see us and will be over to serve.... 10 to 15 minutes pass with no one ever approaching us with menus. Once my girlfriend had approached someone about needing attention at our table this Erik Griffen looking server comes and takes our order with atitude (i then see him leaving his shift 10 minutes after taking our order so he must be mad about being there and was ready to go home) same with the girl who dropped off our appetizer she rolled her eyes after we said thank you and DROPPED with sterness our plate on our table and slide it with one finger like she was just annoyed for whatever reason. Same girl seen leaving (assuming same shift as the Erik Griffen character) like was there a huge pause of serving at the end of these people shifts? I seen other families wait just as long as us and another family had actually stood by the bar waiting to be seated for 10 minutes before leaving the place. All meanwhile there were 6 to 8 employees chit-chatting and texting in the back (your patrons can see you guys behind that CLEAR glass) while we wait to be even be handed menus. On top of that they messed up our order! Never eat here!! Only play here. Food was 6.5 outta 10 and definitely not worth the trouble to eat here. My son had fun playing games which made up for the HUGE inconvenience! SAVE TIME AND EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE AND ONLY COME HERE TO BOWL AND PLAY GAMES.

One of the best Main Events out there. I like the Hoffman Estates one because the area is clean, staff is helpful and good location. The only feedback I have for this one is to ensure that all machines are working, it gets disappointing for kids to swipe their cards to realize that the points were deducted but they can't play since the machine is 'broken' Recommended: Yes

  • 5/5 Paula D. 1 year ago on Google
Pleasantly surprised. Laser tag and arcade was great. Clean. Wack a minion is in need of maintenance. All of the other games were great. We got there early to avoid the crowd. THE OREO MILKSHAKE IS AMAZING 👏 Service: mostly good. Lots of staff walking around....few stop to ask what you need, very few introduce themselves. The server we had was excellent though.

I'm anything but a Karen but come on!!! Super shocked by the wastefulness of this company. I told my host at the beginning of my daughters b-day party that any uneaten food was to be taken home with the guest OR if it was completely untouched, I would take it home. Instead, they took the uneaten food that I PAID FOR and started throwing it away right in front of me!!! Why I purposely told them we would do that is because it was done with a friend who had a party at your facility prior!!! Then I had expensive birthday candles that got tossed as well, without even asking if I wanted them back! My property, I paid for. I know your goal is $$$$ and tossing food makes you turn the tables over quicker but it's completely unacceptable for the price I paid! I'm sure Chuck E Cheese wouldn't even do that! To top it off we were the first b-day party of the day and the only b-day party for some time and our food came out late, making the kids go insane and wasting our party time! Also, paying for an additional 30 min points card to play and receiving two sets of cards is super confusing to the kids. Can you at least mark which is which so we're not spending our time trying to figure out 50 different cards!!! Luckily my daughter had a great time, which is all that matters.... I guess.

Decent time for a last minute entertainment place. They offer bowling, gaming with and without ticket wins, a few VR options (pretty expensive), laser tag, climb center with zip line, restaurant and bar area. A few party rooms/areas. They seem a little short staffed at the main restaurant. Food is good (no complaints) and priced at the norm these days (burger $10-16). Bathrooms have been pretty unmaintained every time I’ve visited. But as stated, decent time if you’re looking to kill time and spend 50-200$ pp. (Between gaming, food and possible bowling/tag/climbing). 😊 Enjoy!

Drinks were good and strong. Not watered down like other places. Men's bathroom smelled so bad you can smell it from far away. Fries were good, spinage dip. Bartenders were very busy but nice. The wait times on laser Tag and rope thing was a few hours out. Bowling was a Long wait but fun. More staff is needed for cleaning trash cans and bathroom.

This is an amazing place for kid groups. All the staff were well trained, took care of us well, and seemed to really care, which is hard to find in family fun centers. There are tons of things to do here, and all of them were top of the line. Again, the whole staff was great but special shout out to Tedd, Joey, and Sophia.

  • 5/5 J B. 1 year ago on Google
We had great service and the food was quite good. I can see how service could take a dip (as stated by other reviewers) as it got very busy and it didn't seem like there were enough servers. Game selection was pretty good even though I prefer more old school arcade games.

  • 4/5 Katie D. 1 year ago on Google
Fun place, but staff was focused on prepping for an event the next day and our party recieved mediocre care. 1/2 the food came out late. When i checked in at the desk, TWICE they told me my party wasn't there yet (had been there for an hour and eventually the party host found us). The kids had a great time bowling and arcade. I felt bad for the parents that paid $$$$ to host a party here though.

My family and I have visited this located several times since opening. What used to be a night of fun, has on the last 2 occasions become disappointments. On both of our recent visits, we went for dinner, and games. During our the earlier visit, we waited over 45 minutes for a member of the waitstaff to take our food orders. During our most recent visit this past Saturday, they just never showed up. Look, I get that it's busy, so after being seated at our table for over 30 minutes, I spoke with the young lady that appeared to be the host, and showed her exactly where we were sitting, she informed me someone would be over. 30 more minutes, and no one ever showed up. Even customers at the tables near me, never saw a team member. It's just disappointing, I used to really enjoy bringing my family here, since they love going and it's so close to home. But after this last visit, I'm tapping out. I can't continue to spend an exhorbant amount of time waiting just to order my children food. It was fun while it lasted, but I'm passing on future visits here.

Based on an experience from a previous birtthday party, we hosted our daughter's 7th birthday at Main Event. This was her first friends from school party. All-in-all it was a good experience. The girls had a great time. It was from the adult lens where things could have gone smoother. Getting the 15 girls in their bowling shoes was a bit of a challenge, even with the help of our dedicated Main Event party assistant. A note to parents. With a group this size you'll more than likely need the help of at least 2 or 3 additional adults to organize the bowling process. Once bowling wrapped up, the food, party, and games part of the day went great. I'd say give it a try.

Went on a Wednesday afternoon. Not a busy time. Issues with several of the arcade games not working. Staff was generally good about it once they could be found. Except my daughter got stiffed on a VR game (one of their priciest games) and after fixing the problem with the machine never activated it for her to play it even though it didn't work when she paid. Asked a host for a table to have some drinks and appetizers. Was told to sit anywhere. After 20 minutes with no service, I finally went to the bar and got my drinks myself. Another 25 minutes later a waitress finally asked if I was interested in ordering any food. At that point we were leaving soon, and I was afraid how long appetizers would take to come out, so never ordered any. Far from an impressive day.

Went before 2pm and left around 3. Was there recently for the first time with my 6year old. Pricey but nice- he loved it. My one complaint is the App. It wouldn't load once I installed. Needs work. Staff was very kind. Burger I ordered was good. Clean for the most part. Lots to do while there including zipline.. I'd go again.

If I could give a negative 20 star review I would! Gabi the manager is the worst manager I have encountered. Ignorant, snarky, poor customer service. Wouldn’t help at all, totally disrespectful when we came to celebrate my dad’s birthday. The two teenage girls working behind the counter were also totally disrespectful as well. Don’t tell you that theirs a school reservation of 100 kids coming in and put us on the lane and we order 200 dollars worth of food and by the time our food comes kicks us out and won’t let us bowl when theirs all these lanes open and could of asked other lanes to move. Save your money and go down the street to Pinstripes with better food, better atmosphere, and better customer service.
