Very odd location, but if you managed to find it it's absolutely worth going in. I actually went to days in a row. Got better each time. The food is absolutely amazing, the staff working are obviously from Poland. The meal was definitely a stick to your ribs and take a nap on the couch kind of meal. Really laid-back environment, the food was as beautiful as the women working there. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!

I’ve known this place already from it's delicious pierogi but few days ago I ordered my take out and this time I decided to try Chicken Kebab. I was nicely surprised with the delightful twist on the Kebab that was the sauce and it did the job. I ate the whole thing by myself no kidding! I also like their interior it is very clean and cozy. Definitely coming back for some more Chicken Kebab this time with my whole family.

Exceptional! This is definitely worth making your way over to. It will be in my regular rotation. The polish sausage was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Potatoe pancake was crispy and flavorful. The cheddar cheese and bacon pierogis where cooked to eat. Tasty and flavorful. Perfect texture and full of ingredients that worked well together. Service was friendly and fast. Fun, clean restaurant. Huge selection of frozen to go items. Update...been here 3 more times, and it's still awesome...

Located in a small strip center off Devon Ave in Elk Grove,Tatas offers fantastic Polish food at affordable prices in a family friendly environment. As soon as you walk in you are treated like family. They offer indoor and outdoor dining options . Plenty of parking available. You order yourself and the food is brought to your table. The menu offers fantastic explanations of each entree and the food is served hot and fresh. My wife is Gluten free so she had the Silesian dumplings with goulash. The dumplings are made with potatoes starch. Delicious! I had Golabki(Stuffed Cabbage) plate that came with a potatoe pancake,6 pierogi's and a small cabbage salad. Everything was tasty but I would have liked my potatoe pancake a little more crispy. They offer a full selection of imported beers. Pierogi's are available to go including Gluten Free options which is a plus. With so many different food options available,we will be back to try something else ! A real gem in the Northwest suburbs.

I love this place and I order take out from time to time but this time serving me 2 polish subs burnt like this is just disappointing. I would be embarrassed to serve someone a burnt sandwich like this. I leave a tip every time for my takeout and I love your food guys but this is unacceptable.

I've been to Tata's many times since the beginning. My work is just steps away, so I've been going a lot.I've never had a bad meal or experience. I usually get the Polish Plate or the mini potato pancakes with the beef stew, which are both delicious. On this day, I was going to get zapiekanka minus the ketchup...eww, a polish pizza bread that I first had in Krakow many years ago. But I decided on the chicken kebab, and it was a good choice. When I was served my plate, another patron looking over the menu said "wow that looks fantastic." What is it? Grilled chicken, salad with tomatoes and cucumber. Was also corn mixed in. And fries. It was huge and delicious. Check out these pictures. omg, I could barely finish. The place is very clean and well kept and friendly service is top notch.

Prices were a little on the high side. Golabki was good but thought there would be more than just 1. We had asked for our pierogi to be fried but came boiled. My friend had the mushroom soup and said it was very good & filling.

I felt as though I'd gone back to being a child at my grandmother's house eating her golabki. The service was incredible and food was great. The beer was cold. I ended up buying some frozen perogis for later in the week. Come check this place out. You won't be disappointed.

I recently had the pleasure of indulging in a delightful Polish dinner at Tata's Pierogi, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. Let's dive into the star of the show – the pierogies. These little pockets of joy were not only authentically crafted but also cooked to perfection. The texture was just right, showcasing the mastery behind the scenes. What truly elevated the pierogies was the bacon topping; it was a symphony of flavors, high-quality, and remarkably fresh. Moving on to the potato pancakes – they were nothing short of amazing. The crispy exterior combined with the fluffy interior created a delectable contrast that left my taste buds dancing. It's evident that Tata's Pierogi pays meticulous attention to detail in ensuring each dish reaches the pinnacle of authenticity and taste. Now, let's talk about the sausage. Oh, the sausage! It was a revelation. True to its roots, this was no ordinary sausage; it was genuine, homemade deli sausage. The kind that transports you to a cozy Polish deli with every savory bite. The absence of processing made a world of difference, and I applaud Tata's Pierogi for staying true to tradition. Beyond the culinary delights, the overall ambiance of the place contributed significantly to the enjoyable experience. The environment was extremely comfortable, radiating a warmth that complemented the hearty Polish fare. Cleanliness added an extra layer of satisfaction, making the dining experience not only delicious but also hygienic. In conclusion, Tata's Pierogi is a gem for anyone seeking an authentic Polish dining experience. From the impeccable pierogies to the heavenly potato pancakes and the unforgettable sausage, each dish is a testament to the commitment to quality. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment for those craving genuine flavors in a cozy and clean setting. It's a culinary journey worth savoring.

Very friendly people run this place, I took their recommendation as I don't know much about polish food and then liked it so much I came back the next day. Nice people with an up to date clean and modern decorated place. Would highly recommend it and noticed many familys came by for takeout as well as I dined in. Small Places like this are what traveling and new dining experiences make life enjoyable.

Nice Polish food. Lots of choice for pierogi, and the Polish platter is great choice to try all classics. You kinda know it’s good when you see lots of Polish dine there.

So amazing to have this delicious polish restaurant in the suburbs. Large portion sizes for the money. So many flavor choices for pierogies and you can buy them frozen to eat later. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend.

First time having real Polish food, was not disappointed at all. Food is really good and service was very friendly. Got the Polish Platter but they forgot to give me the sausage which reduced my rating by a star, otherwise this would be a 5 star review. Will definitely return whenever I’m in town.

I recently had the pleasure of trying Polish cuisine for the first time, and my experience was nothing short of delightful. The restaurant, which is family-owned, exudes a cozy ambiance that instantly makes you feel at home. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience. To begin my culinary journey, I opted for two different soups – the mushroom soup and the chicken noodle soup. Both were masterfully crafted, offering rich and distinct flavors that set the stage for the rest of the meal. The mushroom soup had a comforting earthiness, while the chicken noodle soup was a hearty and satisfying choice. Moving on to the pierogi, I indulged in a variety of flavors that showcased the diversity of Polish cuisine. The sauerkraut mushroom pierogi was a standout, with a perfect balance of tanginess from the sauerkraut and the savory goodness of mushrooms. The potato and cheese pierogi were equally delicious, featuring a creamy and flavorful filling encased in perfectly cooked dough. For those craving something beyond traditional pierogi, the kebab was a delightful surprise. Cooked to perfection, the kebab offered a juicy and well-seasoned meat that added a delightful twist to my Polish culinary adventure. As a sweet ending to my meal, I couldn't resist trying the dessert pierogi. The blueberry pierogi was a burst of fruity goodness, with a sweet and tart filling that left me craving for more. The farmer cheese pierogi, on the other hand, provided a rich and creamy indulgence that perfectly concluded my feast. Overall, my first experience with Polish food at this establishment was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was a testament to the culinary expertise of the kitchen, showcasing a careful balance of flavors and textures. The commitment to quality and authenticity shone through in every bite. What truly sets this place apart is not just the delectable food but also the sense of being in a welcoming, family-oriented environment. The cozy ambiance, coupled with the genuine hospitality, made the dining experience memorable and enjoyable. I am already looking forward to my next visit, eager to explore more of the menu and savor the incredible flavors that Polish cuisine has to offer. If you're a fan of delicious food, warm hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere, this restaurant is a definite must-try. I wholeheartedly recommend it and am confident that, like me, you'll be eager to return for another delightful dining experience.

Got the cutlet, a few different kinds of pierogi's, and the potato pancakes. Everything was incredible but the pancakes weren't my jam - still good though! Prices are reasonable and if you're lucky, you'll get a random ancient customer (derogatory) to glare at you the entire time you pay.

Food and service was fantastic!! I had the polish plate and it was delicious. My in laws are polish/Romanian and I eat this type of authentic food at every family function - this was on point! My only regret is that I don’t live closer to frequent this establishment regularly

We live in the city, but were out in EGV looking at slabs and my Polish senses started tingling. We stopped in and loved it! Now I want to find more excuses to go out that way. The food is delicious and authentic, the atmosphere is nice and they have a great play area with their outdoor seating for kids. This kept our toddler so happy and occupied so we could enjoy our meal. I can find no faults and promise we will be back!

I went to Tata’s to try pierogi for the first time. The young lady at the counter was very accommodating and suggested I try the sampler. The food was served quickly and I really enjoyed the flavors. My only complaint is not knowing which pierogi was which until I bit into it. The venue was nice and clean. They had large TVs on the wall and current music playing. I’d definitely recommend.

This was soooo good these pierogis healed my soul. The price is amazing, the interior is cute and clean, and the workers are so nice! I can’t wait to come back, I hope everyone in the area will come try Tata’s! Edit: I was just in Poland for two months and none of the pierogis were as good as Tata’s!

If it’s your first time, it’s really difficult to figure out how ordering works. No one greets you at the door so after an awkward period of waiting you go to the cashier and then they explain that you need to order and pay and then seat down. We saw other customers confused and no one came to the rescue. Not so friendly staff unfortunately. The food was ok.
