I wanted to add more to my review from a couple months ago. My neighbor/friend saw my review not knowing it was me & went here. Talk about meant to be, divine intervention, what ever brought her here. Dr Kelly, who was my Vet with my cat, saved her dog's life. I'm so happy to say the dog is doing very well & Dr Kelly has extended her life. : ) So Dr Kelly, who is the sweetest, most compassionate Vet I have ever met will know when it's time & when it's not. If I ever get another cat I know who my Vet will be. I do not see that happening in the near future as I am still very, very broken hearted. : ( One of the hardest days of my life was last Saturday, May 28, 2022. My 16 yr old cat starting having horrible seizures. This office was so accommodating to get me in that morning. Everyone could not have been nicer. The Vet confirmed that she probably had a brain tumor or cancer. We could run tests, but at her age may be no quality of life. I asked if she thought she was suffering & she said yes. As hard as I knew it would be, I had to let her go. I am beyond heartbroken. But their care & compassion certainly helped. And to the woman who started screaming at me in the parking lot after I just put my baby down & was sobbing, I hope your not a pet owner. Cause you don't deserve one.

I don't ever write reviews, ever. But I am taking the time to mention how amazing this place was(is). I've been to vets in Naperville, Oak Brook, etc.. and never experienced such a warm, caring vet till date. My dog was limping and had a broken dew claw and instead of going back to the places we knew, I decided to call and try out somewhere closer. They managed to squeezed my dog in last minute, the staff was incredible, and the vet was so knowledgeable. What I also loved was they didn't hassle me for documentation right when we walked in knowing there was more that mattered at the moment. Overall, this place cares. The employees are in great spirits and it just shows they work in a great atmosphere. I literally give props to the management. You guys are doing a phenomenal job and I appreciated every moment. I have nothing but amazing things to say. The Lombard Animal Hospital is everything you need and want for your animals care. Whenever anything is being done to my animals, I have so much confidence, I don’t even worry. I have 3 Boston Terriers and 1 cat. All love going to there office visits at LVH.

Wow, so rude!!! Since we were new to the area, I was excited to have finally chosen a place to take my cats for their annual checkups and shots based on the amazing reviews and recommendations of this place on social media. I requested 12pm and 12:30pm appointments, and they had emailed me a confirmation for the 12:30pm appointment saying it was for both cats. So I made arrangements for childcare and planned to take the cats at the scheduled time of 12:30. Five minutes before I was about to leave, the rude receptionist called me and asked if I knew I had an appointment that I was 15 minutes late for (at 12pm). I explained the email confirmation I had received, but it didn't matter. She was upset that I still wasn't there for the appointment I didn't know about. And she didn't know what my cats were coming for (despite entering the info into the appointment request a week or so ago) and told me the doctor might not be able to see both of them because I was "so late" and (s)he has other appointments. Plus shaming me for not having their records on hand. Extremely rude to me when the mistake was on their end. Not worth dealing with that. I'll be sure to share my experience whenever I see this place recommended on social media so others aren't fooled by all the positive reviews as I was. Maybe the vets themselves are great, but there are other great vets out there too that will actually have friendly staff. ETA: To their credit, they did reach out to me very quickly (post-review) to apologize and try to rectify the situation. Adding a second star for this. Actions mean more than apologies though, so I hope staff attitudes will actually start to improve while talking to customers. Now reading other reviews, I see it has been an issue before as well.

Very disappointed. Brought my cat in for a annual review and was told she was okay. A couple months later she lost 4.5 lbs in a month and I decided to bring her in to a different vet and was told she had a mass in her stomach the size of a tennis ball. Not sure how this was missed when I brought her in for her annual. Had to see a specialist and will be putting her down. Would recommend you take your pet somewhere else and pay the extra money.

Very professional and friendly staff. They are also super helpful over the phone when we call in for advice. We've also never had to wait too long for an appointment and they are good about filling cancellation spots to fit you in earlier, which is a huge relief when dealing with a sick dog. Our dog actually loves going here for the treats :) Highly recommend

Each and every employee we’ve ever interacted with in the last 4 years has been so kind and shown excellent customer service. The employees are very caring and make sure you and your pet are well taken care of. Although the services may cost more than other vet clinics, the quality of care at LVH is unbeatable!

Both Dr. Walsh, and Abby, we’re just fantastic when attending to my 12-year old kitty who injured herself after what I’m guessing was a bad landing after a little jump. Came home from work to discover my little girl limping horribly and in great discomfort. As you can imagine I was beside myself with worry and trying desperately to get her in for care, anywhere, and on a Sunday no less! Long story short, the folks at Lombard got us in the same day. X-rays, exam, pain meds, and back home resting comfortably within a few short hours. Aside from discovering arthritis setting in, and what appears to be a pretty good sprain, my baby is going to be just fine. A thousand thanks to Dr. Walsh and Abby!

This is the BEST Vet..I have been to so many Vets over the years with my dogs. I had a dog who lived 15 years and next one 14.. Always feltl like a number or rushed in and out out of every vet we tried. Never found a fit..never found a place that I felt good taking my fur babies to. All that changes when I took my dog here Super nice friendly staff that took the time with our visit. Even my little scared dog felt good. I'm so happy to have found a place I can trust.Thank you for doing what you guys do. Definitely will recommend to anyone who is in need of a good vet that truly cares about the animals.

I had to come to Lombard veterinary hospital last minute when my pet was not a patient of theirs. I originally chose them because they were one of the only places open with PM hours on a Saturday. My dog needed to be put down and all of their staff was so kind and accommodating to the situation. They got me in within hours of my call and were very sweet to my poor girl. In a completely awful and heartbreaking situation, they were the best. Highly recommend.

I have been a client at LVH for years and the experience I had yesterday with my dog Mabel reminds me why I keep going back. My senior dog fell and had blood coming from her nose and mouth. I quickly got in the car and took her right over, without even calling or making an appointment. I know that’s not the right way to do things but I was freaking out. When I arrived Kurt got me checked in and my dog evaluated right away. I apologized for not calling and just showing up and he told me not to worry and that “making sure Mabel was ok is his top priority”. No eye rolling, sighs, or attitude. That’s great customer service and the shows the compassion of the staff that works at LVH. I’ll continue to come to LVH for all my planned, and emergency, vet care.

Very quick and efficient. You pull up and park in a numbered parking spot. A service rep comes out and checks you in. When they are ready to see your pet they come out and escort you to the exam room. Since the waiting room is in your car there is no interaction with other animals during the visit.

We’ve been coming here for over 30 years and have always had a more than stellar experience. We wouldn’t trust any other team with our pets and will continue to recommend to any family and friend new to the area. Special shout-out to Dr. Franklin and Dr. Kelley for being extremely thorough with our aging pup and setting us up for the best path forward.

If you want a veterinarian that will care for your pets as their own, this is the clinic for you. Dr. Cornell is thorough, patient, and not only cares for our pups, but us hoomans as well- HA! Dr. Britton is the same way with our bunnies and always fusses over how perfectly adorable they are when we bring them in. Couldn’t be more grateful for this clinic and the staff ❤️

JOYFULLY INDEBTED to the phenomenal staff at Lombard Veterinary Hospital. Many of us need compassionate care along with our beloved pets while we navigate their health. Every single employee that we interacted with was absolutely incredible. I have never seen folks care so much, nor have I seen folks provide such stellar care. I wish more places were family-owned, professional, and kind. Can't recommend this place enough. Happy tears.

My 11 year old bichon shih tzu mix was lethargic, diarrhea, super uncomfortable and seemed to be going downhill fast. I was frantic and called these guys. The woman on the phone was so sweet and empathetic towards the situation. She got us in the same day. Ashley was our nurse and she was awesome and friendly. Dr. Walsh took amazing care of us. She diagnosed our Jolie with pancreatitis. She listened and was super caring and just made us feel like we finally found a vet we feel we can trust. We adored the whole staff and for a high stress situation, they put us at ease and Jolie is already feeling better a day later and I can smile and breathe again!! Amazing places like this are very hard to come by now a days and I appreciate all of the care that goes into their facility from the person who meets you outside to the doctor - it all matters. Thank you to everyone who works there, never forget what a big impact you have! Edit: July 2023: We are seeing Dr. Cornell now and we looove him! He is so thorough, passionate about animals and we never feel rushed. Jolie is 100% in great hands.

Dr Walsh and the vet assistance were very kind and easy to talk to about our older cat. They talked to us about a care plan to help resolve the issue before moving into the next phase of testing. An estimate was given so we knew what to expect if it comes down to further testing. They were clear with instructions and made us feel comfortable with the options given. Our last vet did not do those things. We are very happy they were referred to us.

This is the absolute best vet clinic I've ever been to! My cat was suffering from a terrible ear infection, and we needed immediate attention. The staff was so helpful and accommodating, making sure we got to see a doctor the same day. Their compassion and understanding meant the world to us during that stressful time. The doctor who treated my cat's ears was simply amazing. She knew exactly what she was doing and wasted no time in providing the necessary treatment. My cat started feeling better within a day, and thanks to the medicine she prescribed, my cat made a complete recovery within a week. I am beyond grateful for her expertise and dedication. I can't emphasize enough how thankful I am to this place for helping my baby through her ordeal. The level of care and attention they provide is unparalleled. I highly recommend them.

Had a great experience with our bunny! Dr. Kline took his time, answered our questions during the exam and was truly compassionate with our elder bun. Our technician during the visit, Sarah, was nothing but informative, pleasant, upbeat and professional during the entire process! Check-in and check-out was efficient. Despite the fact that one of the medications were not in stock, the pharmacy team was able to call it into a local pharmacy (which ended up being a better price for us). Looking forward to our next visit for our bunny with Dr. Kline and highly recommend him for well or sick care for your bun!

Our family just adopted a new dog. I brought her here and it was a great first visit. Dr. Sliwa was so good with her and took alot of time with us to make sure our girl's first visit went well. Also, James was so good with our girl as well. Thank you for making our first visit here a great one!

I’ve been taking my pup Levi for almost two years now. My Best friend brings her dog Milo and recommended dr Ovitt. For availability reasons i’ve mostly been seeing dr Britton. She’s very playful with Levi and gets him to warm up to her before examining which I love. I’ve also brought him in twice for emergency visits with Dr Ovitt She’s firm and knowledgeable is very comforting. Staff is very kind and accommodating.

My partner and I live an hour away from Lombard. After calling and calling and calling and getting ridiculously high estimates for an emergency procedure, we called Lombard and they got us in on Father’s Day with an hour notice. The final price made me over the moon at how affordable it was. They saved my baby’s life and didn’t break the bank. Thank you Lombard!!!

I LOVE this place! I’ve had terrible experience with other locations near Lombard. But once I came here all my fears faded. I have 2 cats that are my world and their doctor Sliwa is so amazing with them. She really treats them as if they were her own cats. I feel so comfortable with this place and taking my cats here. Highly recommend them!! 😺

Love this vet!! They are quick to take care of your pet (and you), they are sweet, and compassionate. The vet is thorough, but not rushing or slow, and took the time to play with my puppy before dealing with the less fun stuff. The pricing is decent too.

We have taken both our dogs to Lombard Veterinary Hospital since we adopted them. They have received excellent care here! One of our dogs has very bad anxiety and Dr. Ovitt took extra time to explain all the options and side effects of different treatments for the anxiety. We ultimately found a solution that has literally changed his life. Unfortunately we are moving out of the area and on the hunt for a new vet but we wanted to write a review so people looking for a new vet know that this place is great!! The vets and staff care so much and they are very available for emergency appointments and taking phone calls.
