I absolutely love the owner Linda and her family. Great people and she treated me like family. Rooms were clean, there was an incident with another resident/guest, as promised Linda took care of it immediately. I never even had a chance to bring it to her attention since she was completely in tune taking care of me and the other guests. If you want something simple inexpensive, safe and clean then come here. Rooms are retro and charming. I loved the owners. Wonderful people.

Time spent on Michigan's west coast rarely disappoints and our recent trip to Stevensville was beyond delightful despite the inclement weather. Through rain and a few patches of sunny sky, we discovered wonderful gems to explore. Lydia's diner in Bridgman is a must-eat-at and a stop next door at Peacock Rocks makes for a fantastic afternoon. Rain or shine, the crown jewel was our stay at Ray's Motel. Like a step back in time, Ray's was a comfortable and inviting respite. The history of this multi-generational family owned property, paired with stunning brickwork, grassy yard with fire pit and vintage decor certainly adds to the charm and comfort. The service, however, goes beyond welcoming and far into outstanding territory. Every ask was met warmly and with a smile. We were checked on often, to ensure our satisfaction and check on any needs we might have and to answer all our questions about the area, without ever feeling hovered over; the perfect cadence. We left feeling as though we'd stayed with good friends and looking forward to returning soon. If you are in or around the area, Ray's is a must-stay.

We love staying at Ray's whenever we come into town. Love supporting local businesses and we have always been very happy with the rooms and customer service, Linda is just fantastic! We will definitely go back!

Friendly and nice staff, but room smelled although old was otherwise clean, shower was is disrepair, scalding with almost no cold water, next day were given key to another room to use shower there, a bit but not much better, very hard to regulate the water temp, and no doors on the cupboards in that room. I like doing business with small 'mom and pop' local places, but I wouldn't come back here again, very disappointed :-( looked cute and cozy online. Linda was very nice and tried to accommodate us.

Clean 1950s motel. No amenities, bring your own...shampoo, hair dryer, etc. Very thin towels. Seal broken on toilet to my surprise, so pants got soaked! Very annoying. Window treatments not very private plus bright lights from outside light up the place at night. We had to hang towels and clothes up to sleep. Creepy, but friendly guy sitting outside our room. Oh, and efficient, yet noisy AC. Cheapest place in town at $89/night. Our choice, but definitely roughing it.

bad wifi, cult like atmosphere, statue of Jesus Christ out front of their business blatantly trying to capitalize on Christ.

Very friendly environment the rooms are clean and neat. The owners are amazing people then people in and out of there are amazing. There's hardly ever any issues. The rooms are set up like cabins and a regular motel room. There is a fire pit big back yard and multiple grills. If you want a relaxing place to stay or are in need of a place to stay due to work I highly recommend Ray's Motel.

Well this place definitely has the potential to be better. I was looking to stay for a month possibly 2 but the owner wouldn’t come down on the price of $450 a week, I offered even to pay a month in advance and she is convinced she’s sitting on prime real estate, that May in fact be true if you he place was cleaner, updated, or not so creepy. The heat is an old boiler system and randomly there are loud bangs and booms and noises pretty sure the system should be bled. No warning of this at all. I wouldn’t stay here again

I LOVE Ray's! As a Nuclear Pro, I rented one of the cabins for 6 months with them when I first stayed in 1999, have stayed there several times since... It's my 'GO TO' if I'm working at the DC Cook Plant! It's an older place, but still 'Family Owned'- and they work HARD to keep it that way! The area has grown a LOT in the last 20+ years, so there are a lot more local conveniences in Stevensville than there used to be... and a lot more competition! Southwest Michigan is BRUTAL during Winter (... and I live in WYOMING!), but there is EASY access to I-94, and the 'Red Arrow Highway' is usually kept well plowed, so there're not a lot of problems getting to the Cook Plant. If you don't mind being 'BOXED UP' inside one of the big chain Hotels, paying TOP DOLLAR, and do not smoke... FINE! If you DO smoke, these Mom & Pop hotels are GREAT- especially when you can simply step outside your door and BS with your neighbors/ co-workers and cook out when the weather is decent. I'll stay at RAY's... ALWAYS!

Ray's is one of my favorite motels in the entire state of Michigan! My wife really loved their very nice flower garden period it looks very plain from the road, but there is a gorgeous backyard. The owners are very friendly, rooms are very clean, and the price is a fraction of what the big chains are.
