Time
spent
on
Michigan's
west
coast
rarely
disappoints
and
our
recent
trip
to
Stevensville
was
beyond
delightful
despite
the
inclement
weather.
Through
rain
and
a
few
patches
of
sunny
sky,
we
discovered
wonderful
gems
to
explore.
Lydia's
diner
in
Bridgman
is
a
must-eat-at
and
a
stop
next
door
at
Peacock
Rocks
makes
for
a
fantastic
afternoon.
Rain
or
shine,
the
crown
jewel
was
our
stay
at
Ray's
Motel.
Like
a
step
back
in
time,
Ray's
was
a
comfortable
and
inviting
respite.
The
history
of
this
multi-generational
family
owned
property,
paired
with
stunning
brickwork,
grassy
yard
with
fire
pit
and
vintage
decor
certainly
adds
to
the
charm
and
comfort.
The
service,
however,
goes
beyond
welcoming
and
far
into
outstanding
territory.
Every
ask
was
met
warmly
and
with
a
smile.
We
were
checked
on
often,
to
ensure
our
satisfaction
and
check
on
any
needs
we
might
have
and
to
answer
all
our
questions
about
the
area,
without
ever
feeling
hovered
over;
the
perfect
cadence.
We
left
feeling
as
though
we'd
stayed
with
good
friends
and
looking
forward
to
returning
soon.
If
you
are
in
or
around
the
area,
Ray's
is
a
must-stay.
