Eating here was the biggest mistake of our trip. -The service was awful and unfriendly. -The beer was flat. Clearly the machine has ran out of gas but the bar staff didn't seem to care. -No one spoke a word of English (only a problem if you don't speak French). -Ants were climbing over the baby high chair and onto our table. -Decor inside is quite dated and feels a bit stuffy. -Overall quite expensive prices. To balance the review the food was average (no complaints as such) but everything else let it down hugely. Avoid if possible.

(This notice is only about the restaurant, not the hotel) I saw other comments about the restaurant but I disregarded them so here is my opinion: The restaurant is nice and have a chill atmosphere, there wasn’t a lot of people when I went to eat, maybe because of the cloudy but also sunny weather. The staff is very kind, I heard that the manager and the chefs have changed and that the food is way better than before, plus the view on the sea is beautiful when I ate at the terrace despite the small cabin on the beach that maybe cover a little the view. I’m glad to have eaten at this place today, I highly recommend you to lunch here!

Great location, see front , right on the promenade but the place needs a serious rethink, from management down to decoration. We were given a room on the 3rd floor and when we opened the door we found the room already occupied. You can imagine the confusion; they then gave us a room on the 4th floor ( all of this in a hotel without elevator).. In the new room the shower hose was broken and I am not even talking of the mess at dinner table suffice to say that several tables had to wait 2 hours for their meal while a carousel of wrong orders was going from tables to tables...Boy they need Ramsey Gordon Still the whole thing didn't spoil our stay in the Mers-Les-bains area , we just avoided spending too much times in the hotel....
