Good selection of both Vegetarian and Vegan dishes (one is with dairy cheese, the other one is non-dairy). Great selection of drinks, very friendly staff, beautiful place with a (long) staircase down the river. Location is a bit challenging to reach though, even with motorbike, but it was well rewarding.

A charming, quaint, jungle -boho vegan restaurant with delicious and fresh food. Great for dates or girls get together. I am a cheese lover, and I really enjoyed the burrata bowl and 3 cheese parmigiana melanzane…I would probably request if they could make one with zucchini and mushroom next time, as I’m not such a fan of eggplant. We also tried the jackfruit soft taco! Everything was made with good ingredients. You can taste the freshness. I would come back and order the other dishes. PS-The coconut cake is really good too!😅

An amazing experience. We were met by two friendly dogs who led us down deep amongst the jungle to be greeted by smiling and helpful staff. The peaceful sounds of birds, insects and wildlife coupled with running water and gentle breezes rustling the flora provided a truly tranquil experience. The food and beverages were the bonus on top. A must visit for all who come to Ubud.

This place is hidden and magical. You won’t find any other place like this in Ubud, located in the lush Jungle Ubud, Farm, and river. You will get full of surprise until you try Vegan Jackfruit Arepas. Its super delicious! I would like recommend this place for you that want to experience comfort food. ❤️

Amazing location, you can only arrive by bike or 10 minute walking distance from the main street. Don’t miss it, really worth visiting. I have seen some lower ratings for the food. My colleague’s dish was great, mine good even though not exceptional for my taste. But, I definitely will repeat. Service was super nice!

Yes as you can see by the reviews, this place is very well hidden like a labyrinth, it's impossible to go here by car, so use motorbike or walk here instead. The foods they sell here were superb from drinks, main course to dessert all were vegetarian/vegan friendly and it tasted delicious! The amazing part about this place is you can go down by the river and enjoy the nature. Aaah what a relaxing day. Honestly, I don't want this place become viral and overcrowded with people, I want to keep it hidden as what it is now so we can enjoy relaxing down by the river without much distraction. But yeah, business is business after all.

Amazing jackfruit & not pork arepas and rojo beet smoothie! The drive here is better accessed on foot. The scooter path is so so thin it’s nerve racking to try and drive. Make sure you’re able to walk down lots of steps, so you can go down to the river and enjoy the water too!

What a Gem. A beautiful walk, behind alchemy. I ate the dragonfruit tacos and they were amazing. The owner was absolutely lovely and made us a rustic makeshift table for my friend and i, as the restaurant was full. Highly recommend 👌 ❤

What a magical place! Hidden in the back jungle of penestanan ( but only 5 mins from the centre) I feel I am in another world when I enter! Surrounded by lush jungle and comfortable on on my couch I can breathe in Bali. The food is traditional Colombian and Italian vegan style. The arepa, tacos and beetroot fettuccine special were my faves... Don't forget to take a dip in the river below after lunch. Go here when you want to unwind and spend time in nature. X

This place is a hidden gem, it’s not super easy to find, but it’s definitely worth it. the concept and location are amazing and the food is genuinely the best we had in bali. You can eat sitting on the floor with a beautiful view of the forest. very cozy. Recommended to anyone, vegan, vegetarian or omnivores ❤️🌱 (menu almost 100% plant based, few vegetarian options) also the staff is very kind and friendly. we’ll come back!

Beautiful place, pretty secluded but worth the Walk. All dishes I tried were really good, even the desserts. I left super full but happy with my meal. Apart from the delicious food you can also continue the stair trail down to the river and enjoy some refreshing time.

The place is not easy to get to at all. My wife and I took separate Grab scooters to get there. I arrived first and she texted me “Where is this place?” I told her, “If it feels like you’re going the wrong way, it’s the right way.” Upon being dropped off near the restaurant, it’s another few minutes trek down into a canopied jungle. The restaurant is completely open air, so exposure to all the natural elements (weather and insects) is inevitable. We ordered a smoothie bowl, jackfruit arepa and coffee. The Balinese have mastered making smoothie bowls, but here the jackfruit arepa is king. This was easily one of the best things I had to eat in Bali, despite it being a vegan dish (I’m not vegan). Highly recommend trying the jackfruit arepa despite the inconvenience of trying to get there.

Nice walk to the restaurant with nature around you. A beautiful kampong style set up restaurant with the sound of the river flows and bird singing..... Food was delicious and healthy... No air con..

This is literally a hidden gem. As in you have to walk off the end of the path and hike down towards the water fall to find this amazing little restaurant with wonderful food!

Stumbled across this place from our air bnb. Quite hard to find but once you’re there it’s totally worth it. The staff were lovely and the food was cooked up right in front of us. Highlights included gnocchi pasta and the fresh garden teas. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Nice italo-colombian food with a touch of asian twist! Loved the jackfruit arepa. The place is not easy to find and you need walk around 10 min from the main road. Once you get there, you will love it! It is like a smal oasis in the middle of the forets with acces to the river.

I loved this place, nestled by the river in ubud. It’s like going into another little world. They have a great selection of Columbian dishes and hone made pastas I rush I had taken more pictures of the food! I went on a night where they had live music and I ate their avo arepa, gnocci and this delicious pineapple agua Fresca.

Serene tropical paradise offering amazing, fresh, delicious Colombian-Italian fare. Worth the effort to arrive for this unique and blissful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the Jackfruit Arepa, Super Arancini Bowl and Reishi hot chocolate. The blue Coconut Cake was more dense than fluffy.

Really good, clean, farm to table food. It's a little hard to get to so better to take a scooter or walk the last 100m or so, but once you get there it's worth it! The jackfruit arepe was delicious, so was the hot chocolate. There's also a river below which is accessible if you take the steps down from the restaurant which we thoroughly enjoyed!

Casa Curandera is an oasis of relaxation and amazing food. This is my new favorite place that I want to come back all the time! The nature here is pristine😍

Finding the place is quite difficult, if you are not on a bike, you will have to walk part of the way. but what delicious desserts and intimate atmosphere there are! Now I want to go back for dishes from the main menu (for example, arepas, it’s served with great ingenuity) Lots of vegetarian options!

A true hidden gem. Casa Curandera has such a peaceful and serene atmosphere, where the mind can rest as a the river below provide a soothing soundscape and the food nourishes the soul. Highly recommended for anyone seeking some soul nurturing food, and respite for the noise of Ubud

One of my favorite places in Ubud. So peaceful and the river is just below. Go for a dip and then have amazing jackfruit tacos!!! I’ve spent many days sitting here, enjoying the atmosphere. You can enjoy four hours. The jams here are magical!!!

Oh man, I gotta tell ya the vegan food here was delicious from start to finish. Everything was fresh and tasted homemade. I got the jackfruit tacos and my partner had the not pork arepas to which we shared our plates. The arepas were spot on and the tortillas were perfections. Perhaps the best I’ve ever had! The restaurant is small and aesthetic, and very much outside in the jungle. You have the option to sit on the ground or at a table and there’s even a meditation spot just off to the side. The waitresses were all very kind and gave quick service but also didn’t rush you. I’ll be back and there’s no doubt about that!

The place is gorgeous and peaceful I had crepes. The portion was not as big as in pictures. It is like 2 mini crepes. Very small actually for 70k (they even added 500idr to the bikk after calculating taxes, just for ....fun ?) 😱I had to ask to wash hands because the girl was preparing my food (cutting feuit and putting ibside, touchibg the food) and gettin payments at the same time (while other customers had closed looks at my plate on the counter). Disgusting but she washed her hands after my request. Having an open kitchen requires attention as the customers can see everything. Food arrived cold but was quite good after all. A note: the were cashews instead of almonds, as indicated on menu. Ok for me but dangerous for nuts allergies.. I guess you come here better for the ambience than food but experience hasn't been nice overall

Most beautiful hidden gem in Ubud Penestanan. Healing on so many levels. Come here to stay for incredible vegetarian food, being in nature, going to to river, hanging out by yourself or with good friends. Follow the signs along the tiny roads to get down here.

Tranquil restaurant in a jungle setting, next to a river. Gorgeous bamboo hut style eatery with a fab choice of food and attentive staff. Highly recommended! The island smoothly bowl was absolutely incredible!

I liked everything very much. The food is delicious, I recommend the chocolate drink. The atmosphere of silence and communication. The nature around is amazing. We thought it would be right by the river, but we need to go down a little if you want to see it. There are only 5 tables in the cafe itself.
