We were completely ignored. We walked in and the bartender and servers ignored us. We sat down at a table and waited for 15 minutes and a few times we made eye contact with a server and they never once came over or offered menus. We got up and left and as I walked past the bar I made eye contact with the bar keeper and he ignored us. Again. Worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Edit: there was no QR code - we checked, because other tables had them, but none of the empty tables did. And what kind of customer service doesn’t check on a customer who leaves without ordering anything??

We went in and were confused that no covid check in was required and guests moved around with no masks. A waiter told us a table we could sit. We saw qr codes on tables others were sitting but not on free tables. So we thought somebody would tell us. Half an hour later we left since nobody even cared that we were there. We could have asked, but honestly a bar which doesn't care if you are there or not we didn't want to stay. Maybe that's only due to Covid though.

Great soundtrack, apparently you can smoke inside. When taking into account Norwegian laws and taxation regarding tobacco and alcohol however to enjoy 1 cocktail with a friend (2 total) and a smoke (although I don't) you would be looking at about 400 NOK for the 2 drinks and the cigarettes. If you wanted to get turned up at this spot, I would not be surprised to see a tab closer to 1300 NOK (€130) Still, great atmosphere, nice bartenders, good music. Not quite a dive bar.

Nice and cosy rock/alt bar with good cocktails, a sense if humour, shuffleboard and a smoking garden thats actually nice.

One of the nicest pub in Bergen. Good music interesting interior, smoking us allowed on the balcony. Bart curling, pool..... The place is a good choice after the movies or for celebrations

Best metal area in Bergen A must do

Excellent atmosphere. Very good music range--moody, gothy, punky, et al. Has Bergen's Hansa Beer on tap. Solid range of liquors. Lots of separate spaces with quirky art and décor. Pool table. If one is to believe a chalk board, the shuffle board has been killed and buried in Mexico.

Great place to chill with some good Norwegian beers - bartender was very helpful and knowledgeable in helping us choose. Also an extensive gluten-free selection of beers.

Good for some drinks and craft beers. Well suited for metal and rock and roll people.

Kraken was great. We were there fairly early on a Friday evening so it was quiet but had some great music in the background. It seemed like a very friendly place, so follow the signs from the street, go through the heavy door and up the spiral staircase.

Kråken is maybe the last metal-water hole in Bergen. Good selecrion of cocktails and beer, and allright pils-price(88kr for 0,4 okt. 2022). Friendly, fast staff. Always some local metal playing loud, but not too loud.

Almost a proper dive! (which is what we were seeking) Although my husband and I were the only two customers, the two bartenders were such good company that our one beer turned into four. Nice change of pace for Bergen.

This was a very relaxed and quiet bar when we were there on a Tuesday. They had a shuffleboard table. We enjoyed that they had local beer on tap. The bar tender was friendly and had good recommendations.
