"Bringing Ireland to Norway one pub at a time" I believe is what they say there... absolutely true. We had a great time with the friendly staff - a pint of the black stuff and some Irish tunes. We were touring Norway when we stumbled across this delightful shamrock amongst the fjords - a welcomed craic between the sometimes staleness of the typical tourist trappings.

The location is great and service is good. Enjoy the local beer and really like what they posted: “ there are no strangers, only friends haven’t met yet. We met a gentleman from our state, Florida!

Stopped in for a beer (or few). Keith was working the bar and was very friendly and handled the tourists well. What is the difference between a real and fake Irish Coffee? He knows how to do a proper pour and has a great attitude. Stop in and say hi and have a pint. Edit: Back for more. This time we got the fish and chips (with beer). REALLY good.

Great little pub, very friendly and open at lunch. Food is excellent, "small plates" - the Fish & Chips are especially outstanding, and the Ham & Cheese Toastie was also very good. Bergen was out of Guinness when we were there in Aug 2023, but other than that we enjoyed our experience.

Brian Boru is a warm and welcoming place. It's original irish second hand theme is very unique, importet from ireland. Employees are very nice and always welcome you with a smile. They have a very good variety of drinks, beers and other beverages. They have several televisions for live sports and events. Quiz night is fridays at 1900 and there is a special offer on drinks for participants. It's also possible to sit outside, enjoy the nice weather or sit in a crowd and have lots of fun. The warm Irish original interior is second hand from Ireland, and was imported by the owner. I would like to send a big shout out to the staff, who is so welcoming and have become close. Without the amazing staff, there would be no Brian boru ;)

Awesome Irish pub in the heart of Bergen. Super friendly bartender with great service. Cold local beer didn't eat food, but the fish and chips looked good. It's giving vibes from Dublin.

Great place. Genuine atmosphere. They sometimes serve delicious, hot pies from Pasty World that go perfectly with the ice cold beer.

Visited Bergen 3 weeks ago, for a holiday with my 2 daughter's. Had contacted Brian Boru pub earlier on FB about showing the Heineken Champions Cup Final. Very swift reply. Was in the pub for the game. Great staff, great atmosphere, great space, great location. A direct flight from Dublin to Bergen is now a gift. We need to support this venture from Ireland as Norway in general is a fantastic country. Education, health, transportation, housing, low crime rates. All that we want here. Consider Bergen rather than Barcelona, Lisbon, Lanzorote etc. for a fantastic break. Oh and is it expensive? Depends on what you value. To me, who has been to a lot of countries, you can see where your taxes are going. Public parks, kindergartens, hospitals, public transport, clean cities etc. #visit Bergen #brian boru Bergen #visit Norway

Fantastic pint of Guinness! Definitely fresh and poured perfectly by the Irish barman. Sports on TV with authentic Irish music played on the sound system.

Hands down the best bar in Bergen. Personable bartenders, friendly locals, great food, and a rotating menu of events. Loved watching football matches with the locals.

Such a fun place and the staff is incredibly kind. I was in Bergen for a week and came back multiple times just because Keith and Alan were so kind. They also do live music some nights which was lovely. The patio is also nice for people watching and just enjoying the sun. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Bergen to go here.

Small selection of beer, good value, Irish bartender 👍. My friend and I stopped for a beer on a weekday around 14:30, no crowd and it was clean.
