Kafé Spesial is one of the very few places in Bergen where you can get a very tasty glutenfree AND vegan pizza! 🎉 They are very careful with gluten cross contamination. I have celiac disease and have eaten their pizza and tomato pasta (also vegan & gluten free) several times and never had issues. Now they also make their own vegan mozzarella, which is just so cool!! 👏 (The picture of the gluten free and vegan pizza is before they added the vegan cheese to the menu.) Make sure you order the pasta vegan, since I am not sure it is vegan by default.

If I ever need to pick my favorite restaurant in Bergen, this one is pretty high up there. Great food with good price that I can actually afford 😆 They have many options on the menu as well. You can order food from your table by scanning the qr code, super convenient! but when I tried to pay with VIPP, the page just stopped loading everytime (so I ended up ordering at the cashier anyway). Still highly recommended 😊

4.5 star for food and 1.5 star for the service. I really thought about putting my views here since i had a bad experience but i think people should really know about it. Long story short. Me and mine wife dined in for a lunch and ordered Pizza and Shakshauka and they kept me waited for 1 hour straight and continued serving online and take away orders. I do understand that restaurants have busy hours but I could literally see numbers of packages handing over to the delivery guys while people seating in there just kept waiting. Food was fantastic no doubt about it but customer service should always be ones highest priority. Chef was really generous and apologies but i wish they work on it.

Super delicious pizza and vegetarian burger for a more than fair price! What else can you ask for as a tourist in Bergen! I‘m not joking, this is by far the restaurant with the best value for money I found in Norway so far! In addition to that they have extremely friendly staff and a great selection of beers (with a special price for students when ordering the Hansa 0.4). Seems like a nice place, if only you can get a table. Would recommend to call a month before, and even then you can't be sure that you'll get a table. When we got there (right after opening time, on a weekday) we were told all the tables are reserved all night, even though there were just a few people there.
