The hotel is located in central Bergen, not far from the fish market. Rooms are cheap. Modern design. Our room was on the rooftop floor. Here the rooms have no windows and can sleep just at open door. Cupboards are, not in the rooms, we need to keep everything in the suitcase. A generous, self-service breakfast buffet is available. Flexible with breakfast dates. The cleanliness of rooms and the hotel leave something to be desired. In the restaurant only card payment is possible. The staff are kind and helpful.

The location was great as it is in the city town and near the light rail station. Besides, there is a free drinking bar and the breakfast was included in the price. Last, the staff were so friendly and helpful.

We had a reservation on August 2020, but because of the Covid situation we couldn't entry in Norway and the hotel was closed,so the hotel changed the reservation on August 2021 (we lost one day because of this change). We tried to go to Norway on 2021, but now the hotel closed and we can't go there. We have asked for our money and they said "We are going to reimburse your money through booking.com" (we did the reservation through booking). After two weeks, we phoned booking and they said that they didn't know anything and the hotel is not answering, so we lost more than 2000€ (we booked 5 rooms for 10 people). I can't recommend this hotel because of the treatment they gave us, I sent them lots of emails and they didn't answer most of them and because they are closed, they are not going to reimburse our money and we can't go there and enjoy our nights there. As a customer, I think the situation is difficult for everyone, but losing more than 2000€ is unacceptable since we can't enjoy our nights there. If I were you, I would reserve your nights in other place because you could lose your money as we lose 😔.Don't book the hotel please!Don't waste your money!

The only good thing is the location! I got a rooftop room? The air condtioner or the wind (idk) blew through the room all the time, it was freezing cold. I asked about a new room but the hotel was "booked out"... So I woke up with a cold every day and went to work - great ;) Also, the entrance was through a shopping mall - yeah weird Yeah... Everyone has to know for themselves...

Amazing place with super friendly and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere, close to everything downtown Bergen. Quiet, comfortable bed and pillows. I got the best sleep here during my entire stay in Norway.

Attention, hotel shows little to none cooperation in the Corona crisis! The provider insists on the costs despite the entry ban. Unfortunately it is impossible for us to get to Norway because the borders are closed. The hotel strictly refuses to repay us. The provider simply keeps our money for the long awaited vacation trip for which we had to work hard and save a lot for month. The German Foreign Office issued a worldwide travel warning and Norway has closed the borders, so trips must be canceled free of charge!

I think I expected more from a four-star hotel. Let me start with the pluses: location, clean, comfortable bed, good breakfast, coffee, tea for guests all day and night. Now the downsides: the standard rooms are not 16 metres long, these 16 metres also include the bathroom. So the rooms are maybe 10 m long. The rooms are uneven, some are so small that you can barely move (321). Some standard rooms have no chair, no table (room 321). Not all rooms have windows, some have windows to the staircase (room 329), The rooms lack some small fridge. Beds in standard rooms for couples rather than friends. Difficult to keep a safe distance :-)

We had a relaxing stay here, the beds were so comfy. The staff are so friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast had so many options and the food was tasty. We were in the heart of Bergen, it was so lively. A fantastic location to leave your room for the day and explore the city. Thank you for having us! 🇮🇪🍀

Authentic Scandinavian style hotel with good service but small rooms.

Excellent location in the center of Bergen. We had a compact room, while tiny was nice looking and smartly furnished. However we had a glass roof on a sunny day and no way to let air into room beyond keeping door open to the corridor. It was 27.5 Celsius when we got there and rose to 28.5 while we tried to rest in room during day. Late at night while trying to sleep it had fallen to 26. No help to be gotten from reception. Ideally we would have windows that could be opened, but as they’re not a fan would’ve at least mitigated it somewhat.

The rooms are interesting and the staff were really helpful, storing our bags and letting us wait for our night train enjoying the coffee. The only criticism is that the hot items at breakfast were all cold. Possibly a glich with the warmers.

Great hotel. Nice rooms, but the shower can make the whole floor wet if you're not careful. Don't let the entrance via the Rema1000 put you off, it's very handy! Recommend Sørlands chips, Lefsa med kanal Remember to use the other exit right onto the alleyways. It's also actually not too noisy for its location. So quick to get to the quayside and not too far from the light rail. Free tea, coffee and ice water. Only a small sitting area, but cozy enough. In those summer nights you'll not need it, as the city is buzzing. Breakfast has a nice choice of sweet and savoury plus the staff don't bother you too much.

Ok hotel. I find the lighting in the rooms insufficient. I stayed on two different occasions, first time "on the roof", which was ok, second time in an internal room, which was far too warm and no working cooling. Rooms are on the small side. Sound insulation is good. Breakfast is great. Location near the fish market is also a plus. Close to the centre station of the light railway, so easy to reach from the airport.

One receptionist (Kristen) kept asking us to prove that we are, in fact, staying in this hotel. After showing her our keycard, she still asked "you're staying in -this- hotel?" Pretty rude behavior, and we didn't get an apology from her.

I would give this place six stars if I could? After what I will describe as a huck up the most excellent lady on reception who had only been working here for about two weeks was able to help me out with a room. I am gutted I forgot to ask for her name but again thank you. 😁

Great location. However, there was no air conditioning and no windows that open in our room. It was stifling hot so if you book be sure and ask for a room with an opening window

The room had a really cool design. Breakfast was excellent and location is great - a walking distance from all main attractions

The most badly designed hotel. 1stly, I was given a room with no bathroom door. 2ndly, very bad drainage in the bathroom. The shower area has only 1 glass panel so when u bathe, the water flows out and floods the entire floor. 3rdly, there is a glass panel at the shower area. If u shower, people in the bedroom can see ur silhouette clearly. I stayed in the room with my 22 year old son. So can u imagine how it was for me. 4thly, there is no phone in the room so u have to run down to the reception when u need help. I travel a lot and I can confidently say tat this hotel is the most badly designed hotel I have ever seen.

Great location, Broken lamp shorting out not replaced as requested limiting lighting in the room, Bathroom not as clean as hoped, very poor sink drainage. Get back after day out and find housekeeping not done. Had to go and request clean dry towels from Reception also bathroom not cleaned. (Can live without my bed made and vaccumed) Had to ask for rubbish to be removed. No way to communicate with reception unless you run down to desk. Unfortunately we paid for these services that we did not get. Hoping this was only our experience and others have had better.

My stay at the Hotel Korskirken in Bergen was exceptional. The rooms were stylish, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The staff were warm and accommodating, ensuring all my needs were met. The hotel's central location made exploring the city a breeze. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay in Bergen!

Decent size bed and room even though it was a "compact" room. You can also cast from your phone to the TV which is pretty good and not something all hotels allow you to do. Near to a lot of bars and restaurants and there's a supermarket attached to the hotel almost. Breakfast was ok but nothing amazing

Location is ok, but the two rooms that we rented were so incredibly small that there was no space left for your luggage. It was winter and the rooms were ice cold, an electric heater (on demand) was necessary to survive. The shower flooded over the bathroom floor. No shelf to put your things on. It was all very inconvenient. It was clear that all effort of the designers was concentrated on the creative design and not on the practical use by the traveller. The light in the rooms was horrible, there was a light under the bed (!) and behind a strange shaped mirror. Resulting in a dark room.

The hotel is semi good, not that good as everybody is saying here i don't get it. I also did a mistake on the order Long time ahead and did not recive my money back. That I find very bad. Never will i stay here again.

Right in the heart of Bergen a stone's throw from the historic fish market and the colorful Bryggen district. The double bedroom is comfortable, quite spacious, minimal furniture (in line with the Norwegian standard), the large and very cool bathroom with heated floor, but the classic lack of a bidet. The breakfast is international, I have found more varied but it is still appreciable (those who are satisfied enjoy it). Staff I interacted with have always been very nice and helpful. The common areas are very special, in fact the hotel entrance is shared with a supermarket, which can always be handy!

The room was nice and bed was really comfortable. Only no doors to shower can be annoying as the water is spilled all around the toilet. Breakfasts are really tasty. Hotel staff always smiling and ready to help. Hotel stands in a very good location, near to airport transport, harbor (where you can find boat trips to fjords) and near to beginning of a trail to viewpoint (which is highly recommended to visit).

No real complaints, except for their open bathroom design. The shower sprays water off of you on to the floor. Good breakfast and nice staff. Would have given it 4.5 (or 9 out of 10 if it was available)

Good customer service, clean hotel with rema1000 in the same building and wall connected to a restaurant. Very Close to everything. Only problem was the parking, we couldn't park because its full all the time.

For How close to the dock it was it was very cheap! The rooms were basic but beautiful and modern! We had a fun corner room , it was an odd layout with stairs inside but was was very interesting and homey! The staff were very friendly and helpful I would definitely return!

The room is small, and I have to walk outdoors to get to it. It felt quite unsafe and exposed. The bathroom has no soap and someone left a cleaning brush there. The shower barely has a partition so floods half the bathroom when using. All this is just about ok, but unfortunately the worst thing about the place was that the light kept turning on in the middle of the night for no reason, woke me up twice. I was only there for one night, so no point asking to change room once I was woken up the second time at 4am. Good things were that staff were friendly, helpful and the location was wonderful.

Its very central, so if to be sensitive for noise, then I don't recommend it. Street noise didn't bothered us. Good breakfast. Room where we were was big enough for small family, but needs some renovation.

Very disappointed with our stay here. We were greeted with a hand written room number sign because the real room number sign had broken; there was also a dirty jacket on the floor in front of our room; then, we opened our room door to find stairs that led to the actual room! The stairs were quite narrow and steep. You had to be very careful going up and down. The shower was also quite poor. There was no “lip” built in for the shower to keep water from going all over the bathroom floor. So you were provided with a wet floor sweeper to clean your own bathroom floor! Do not recommend a stay. Thankfully we were only there for one night. Management really needs to rethink their style and rooms. The only saving grace was the friendly receptionist.

Pros: Great location; Delicious and vegan friendly breakfast buffet (the photo shows just part of the breakfast that I love esp. There are other food); Super nice and helpful staff; A coffee and tea maker in lobby to get free hot drink whenever you want; Cons: Hotel is like a little maze, not easy to find your room at first; Bathroom design is poor as it is flooded after shower; Towels don't get change every day, but you can get new ones at reception easily. Not easy to find the hotel door at night. Just get in the door which is shared with rema supermarket as shown on the photo). Overall rating is 4, but I give one extra star for the super nice staff and great breakfast buffet.

We stayed at this hotel with a baby for two nights. This hotel is in a great location with easy access to all of the tourist sites in Bergen. It is a 10 minute walk from the train station. The free breakfast is mediocre, but hotels in Norway set a high bar. As other reviews point out, they have one hardworking person assigned to breakfast. Our room was small, but that was expected. It was very dimly lit in the room, which made it hard to see. The room fit a crib, which was provided free of charge. That was nice and convenient. The bathroom had an open shower, which resulted in the entire bathroom floor being wet afterwards. You actually have to squeegee the floor to dry it. Don't worry - Squeegee is provided. The hotel entrance is through a supermarket lobby. This is convenient, but not inviting. Overall this was a three star hotel.

Not a bad hotel. We had an internal room with no openable window which meant the room was a bit warm but very quiet. Staff were all really nice and extremely helpful. They suggested some great places for dinner.
