Beautiful museum with great art collections. I enjoy the Munch photographs I had no idea before coming here her used to do photos as well! I thought just paintings and the one video he took about himself. So I gained knowledge from here. The ticket price is so good for students which is 60kr and the ticket it’s valid for two days and we can go to all 4 of the kode museums! I am an artist who love go to study so art so I did some quick sketches there it’s was fun.

The collection is great. The reception staff, however, was quite rude. After buying the ticket they told me to deposit my bag in a locker, even though there was no locker available. The receptionist then made me wait for security to deposit the bag. All the while, the guided tour was commencing and she did not tell them to wait briefly for me while she took care of other costumers before me. After the exhibition she had the audacity of scolding me for being frustrated. How was I supposed to feel? I do not understand why she took my feelings of frustration personally.

Loved the Munch exhibition... 4 rooms of his work upstairs. Other Norwegian art also great. Entrance fee 120 NOK gets you into all 4 Kode museums, valid for 2 days

Kode 3 is one out of four museum buildings. It's also known as Rasmus Meyers Collection. My personal highlight: the collection of works by Johan Christian C. Dahl. It includes one of my favorite pieces of art "View of Dresden by Moonlight". Also to mention: the interior of Kode 3. Magnificent! Worth the visit. 👍🏼 You'll be able to enter every building for two consecutive days when you purchase a ticket.

Went to view the art exhibition which combines the other 3 KODEs nearby. Beautiful building and really interesting exhibits. Plenty of information shown about them all. This was a lovely way to learn about the various exhibits and artists. Highly recommended.

One of the best art museums in Norway. Such a vibrant history of Norwegian art and how it emerged from the shadows of German romanticism to chart its own path.

It's a place with Edvard Munch's collection. He was a Norwegian painter. His best known work is "The Scream". The place is good for art's lovers.

Very cute museum with lovely pieces from Norwegian artists. It's quite small and I'd recommend it more for those who are quite interested in art.

Fabulous collection. I especially loved the Blumenthal Room.

Liked the atmosphere and several paintings. On-line guide was quite disturbing. The order of the paintings in web app doesn't follow reality. Some of them were missing or were in different sequence. Quite annoying.

An old purpose built gallery with many interesting and varied exhibits and works of art. A great biographical section on the musician Ole Bull.

great collection, unfortunately the major works of edvard much the ,,fries of life'' are currently on display in the musee d`Orsay in Paris. The replacement of those munch rooms with various antiquated violins attributed to the famed national hero violinist seems inadequate for a mere art gallery, but the kode-concept inplements music and composition.

Fantastic collection of Norwegian Art in the Rasmus Meyer Collection. I hadn't heard of JC Dahl before, but his work is some of the finest landscape painting I've ever seen. Great value for the price of admission.

If you’re in Bergen - this is the place to see some of the artwork from Edvard Munch. Although ‘Scream’ is not there you can see other famous paintings like ‘Evening on Karl Johan’ and ‘Morning’ and ‘Three Stages of Woman’

I don’t really like art galleries, but this one has some good stuff in it.

This museum also takes the cake, here you will find a fantastic blend of very old pieces and some so new that you don’t know what to think... highly recommend. Oh, you will be able to see the “original” piece the scream. Unless you visited the Munchmuseet and you found the copies there 🤨

A very informative exhibition with some inspiring artworks from Munch. The only disappointment was that 'The Scream ' was not in evidence apart from a small wood cut of the face. The entrance fee also includes entrance to all the Kode buildings. Very good value for Norway.

The world´s third largest Munch collection is found here at Kode 3 in Bergen. It is a permanent exhibition. As one of the first collectors of Edvard Munch’s art, Rasmus Meyer (a very rich art collector and benefactor) purchased chief works from all periods of Munch’s oeuvre. Here you can find masterpieces such as "Jealousy", "Melancholy", "The Woman in Three Stages" and "Evening on Karl Johan".
