We came here to exchange the local currency on a rainy morning! The exchange rate is 1 euro to 9.38 Kn, not the most favorite exchange rate. The staffs are friendly, the location are nice and clean!

All the area is being design with information centre on the first floor with big open space with information desks and big dividing exhibition panels. On one side office and conference room on the aether big Windows for all the length with magnificent scenarios of Bergen old buildings reflected on sea.worth visit staffs well informed and amazing helpfully. Lift take you dawn were restaurants and fisheries .locals products , fruits and vegetables. You have the choice to buy fish and take home or eats on the veranda with sea front.

So helpful! The woman who served us was really great at helping us make sense of all the actives that were available and which ones matched our wants and budget. She organised and sold us a four day fjord-kayak-hiking tour and we left quite satisfied. Warning: the wait for serve was long! And in the end we felt the 'Norway in a Nutshell' tour was over priced (but, to be fair, we didn't have ideal weather). However, the kayaking and hiking made our trip.

The staff here were very helpful and welcoming and I enjoyed my tour to Flam the next day, unfortunately the Mostraumon cruise was fully booked, tours get booked fast, so it’s best to book in advance, I enjoyed my stay in the beautiful city of Bergen Norway and am left with the great memories

If you have the time go on your own to these tours. If you book a tour ask for extra details like the exact location of pick up and what type of vehicle. Everyone here is nice but they lack empathy and responsiveness which are essential to good customer service. Seems more like it’s run by volunteers than professionals. I missed my tour twice because I didn’t know where was the transportation will be. I was told I could try to take public transport to chase it down or there’s nothing that could be done for me, my $200 would just be gone. Filled a complaint but in vain it was just a waste of time. Luckily I contacted the Fjord Tours company and they offered me another tour for no extra charge. They had great customer service.

All very friendly but not the place to go if you’re looking for advice on hiking. They obviously have a set answer when people ask for walking routes and the options are very limited. There are loads of great places to hike near the city centre that we discovered ourselves but the people at the desk did not seem to know about them.

It's free to visit and you will get information on the preservation of Bryggen. You can also buy postcards here and get free pamphlets. Make sure you go to the back and marvel at th old techniques used to construct these buildings. There is also a video that runs which shows how carpenters today still use these old techniques to maintain these buildings.

The tourist information is big and very organized. It's located right near the market and across from the famous colored houses

It’s located upstairs, you can take the elevator or stairs. Plenty of information and brochures available for you to choose from. Clean visitor center. Staff was helpful too.

I went to the place and it was a great experience if you are a tourist. You can get any information regarding your travel dates and time accordingly. To me they really explained well and got to know if you're with a kid what you can do and which place can be really nice to visit according to your plan... So to me nice experience overall.

It is located in the heart of Bergen next to famous Fish Market. It was very spacious with enough seating place The staff was very very helpful and courteous. Beside all tourist information, they also sell the tickets for all tours. Another highlight was that they exchange foreign currency. Please note to exchange foreign currency from bank is a big headache in Norway.

I must say I went there to ask what to do on my last extra day, and the lady working there was very helpful, patient, and professional. She offered me all different options and let me choose slowly (I waited aside, and some people took turns). Then when I wanted to book a cruise the system wasn't working and the employee had to call the agents so it took some time. When a passive-aggressive lady said Im holding the line and asked to see if I had the number, the employee told her off and said it's my business only. I loved that, thank you! I ended up booking online the next day.

Helpful place for Bergen and environs questions. However, they have virtually nothing about all of Norway. Yeah, I get that they are all about Bergen, but Bergen visitors also go other places on their Norway visit and would remember fondly a place that at least offered literature for the rest of the country. Just IMHO.

I had the immense pleasure of visiting the tourist information center in Bergen and was assisted by a wonderful staff member named Marta. From the moment I walked in, her warm and professional demeanor stood out. Not only was she a wealth of knowledge about Bergen, but she also went the extra mile to help me book a fjord tour at half the price I found on the Viator app – an absolute game-changer for my trip! Furthermore, Marta provided me with an invaluable map marked with restaurant recommendations tailored to my tastes. As someone passionate about hiking, I was thrilled with the numerous hiking options she suggested, allowing me to experience Bergen's natural beauty to its fullest. I cannot commend her enough for her exceptional service and dedication to ensuring visitors have the best possible experience in Bergen. If you're visiting, I highly recommend stopping by the tourist information center and asking for Marta. She's a gem in the heart of this beautiful city!

Pleasant staff but trainee gave us completely wrong recommendations about visiting the Hanseatic museum (opposite the office but closed until 2026), distance to a destination (half the time he told us) and telling us to download an app to buy local transport tickets but neglected to mention that if you buy tickets you have to use them immediately (absolutely not necessary as there are handy machines at the stops).

Very smart and well done out office, enough staff to see to all enquiries and mostly helpful. Good array of gifts, especially fridge magnets and little models of Bryggen, which were of a high quality. You can also buy tickets for various attractions also.

I made the mistake of not taking this place a little more seriously. When you get into town, go here immediately because it's way easier asking someone in person to confirm details to inform the rest of your trip. Do some quick research about Norway in a Nutshell, Norway Active, and the sognefjord.no site so you are informed on what info to ask. Then book asap!

Excellent. The team is very helpful, provides detailed information and advices the most suitable activities depending on stay and preferences. Mrs. Ploy assisted and provided the best recommendations and tours and she booked them; also she explained about the bergen card and all the visits to do within and outside Bergen reachable by bus.

SUPER helpful staff who can make the reservations for you for MANY local and regional sites, tours, activities, etc. You can pay for them here even if the site is not part of the Bergen Card. They will give you instructions, impressions, recommendations, and more. Visit there on your first day in town, even if you don't have any specific questions, just to get a sense of the wide range of things the very friendly staff can help you with. They have a very large display of the local guide in a wide range of languages.

Looks very nice but hard to get any information. There are about 50+ patrons inside right now and they are calling #s for you to be helped with your questions. There are only four people spring to answer questions. Most People look confused. There are free maps of bergen available

Thank you very much Alex. The 3 trips you recommanded were stunning. Your insightful way of taking care of me and advising which trips to chose were really appreciated.

Really helpful staff, super convenient location. I would highly recommend getting the Bergen card. We only had one full day in Bergen, and in that day we visited 6 historic sites/museums (4 of which were free entry with the Bergen card), took a ride on the Fløibanen (50% discount with the card), and used the light rail (for free) the next morning to ride to the airport to catch our flight. We saved over 430 NOK (~$43 USD) on our activities by purchasing the card.

Helpful and knowledgeable. With so many options it's nice to have someone tell you pros and cons. Be prepared to wait in a queue.

I actually stopped here twice, the first one to stock up brochures and leaflets for what to do in and around Bergen, the second time to purchase fjord cruise tickets since the website wasn’t working. Both times there were quite a few staff working, almost no waiting time, very friendly and fast in their support. Definitely worth stopping by when unsure on what to do
