The information was badly designed... The official webpage was old and all out of link. I couldn't find the opening hours on the current website so I came to the place then it was closed on Monday... There is a only ticket booking site via Google Map here. I wish it had been more well informed on the website.

It's in the process of renovation. Good place for evening walk and relax. You can take a bath in the water body. You can jog around the grass area along the river body. Building has its own artistic features. You will see many older people having evening walk in the area. As it's near the water body, this area will be somewhat freezing. Better to wear a cap and muffler.

Beautiful place for picnic, swimming or just relaxing and read a book. If it's a nice day have in mind that parking for cars might be full.

Nice place for walking, swimming and chill during summer. Close from Fantoft. The castle seem nice but in renovation since 2021.

Beautiful place, all the year! At summer you can enjoy swimming or can lay in the sun on the grass. In winter you can enjoy the empty trees or take a cold bath.

it is important to note that the residence is currently under reconstruction. But usually you can also get here in the middle by buying a ticket

Beautiful park surrounding the King's official residence where you can go for walks or relax by the water. In the summertime you can use the small beach to go for a swim.

The park and the water are picturesque. You can take pictures and swim or sunbathe if it is sunny.

This is the official royal residence in Bergen. However, it was the home of Norway's first Prime Minister Christian Michelsen after the country's independence from Sweden. The first floor is a museum entailing the life of the former Prime Minister. The grounds are free to enter and is a popular place to go swimming during the summer.

The castle is currently being renovated (the process will probably end around 2020 according to the guide). The rooms which can be seen in the castle are very beautiful and are worth seeing even though some rooms are reserved for the royal family to enter since they are still using the castle. The tour guide was interesting and I would recommend to take it. Students pay 80 NOK, and the adult price is a little bit higher.

The park is open during the week and free to visit. Super amazing landscape and lake view. There's also parking area right outside the place and public restroom inside the park.

Gamlehaugen is currently being renovated and most of the castle is covered, however, the surrounding park is nice for a short walk and offers a great view on the lake.

What a beautiful and scenic place, Gamlehaugen is. A lot of greenery along with a church, deck on the lake, simple mesmerizing beauty. No doubt one of the best lakes in Norway

Beautiful surroundings and great bathing area. A bit shady along the water line because of the lovely huge trees, but perfect for a heat wave summer day!
