Fantastic view over Bergen, Askøy and Sotra. A nice day out, even with a stroller. There's a small parking lot almost halfway up, but for a bit of exercise I'd recommend taking the no. 17 bus to Gravdal and walk. Tarmac all the way is good as long as it's not freezing. Then it will get very, very slippery. Nice flat grass picnic area by the big gun.

Nice view og Askøy, bridge and the sea. Historical place with remains from The second world war. Easy to get there by walking. Wheelchair and stroller friendly. Toilets and benches accessible. This is also one of the ways to the Lyderhorn.

War site with remnants of defence facilities and a cаnon from the beginning of 20th century. Part of the main route to Lyderhorn. A bit steep rise, but a short walk.

World War I/II fortifications all hewn into the rock camouflaged in a dense forest. Superb views.

The construction of the Kvarven Fort began in 1895 and was fully completed in 1899. On the mountain there is a children's camp . The atmosphere of the Fort takes you back to those times. There are carved passages in the rocks that you can enter, but it is better to take a flashlight with you. There is also a beautiful view of the bridge from the Fort. Echo of war.

Nice walk up. Not as steep as you might think. Anyone can do it.

👍 Amazing, but was boring for kids due to the lack of facilities and activities for children.
