The face of the hotel is the reception and check in. A lady incharged, terrible, no client service at all. I had the car stopped nearby and we requested parking first to bring the staff and do a normal checkin. She requested 20 times a card before tell us *where to park the car*. A stone has more brain. The rooms are small, dated, beds are those from camping (see picture), no comfort, a single mirror in the room. The only positive is the location and breakfast. The remaining, a shame. High price for the quality.

We expected more from a hotel that cost 2200 NKR for a room that is 10 m². When we entered the room, it smelled more korine than a swimming pool, and there was an airfilter machine to purify the air, still running on the floor. After we ventilated the klorine smell, there was a smoke smell underneath that could not disappear. It's an old style hotel with a small room and small bathroom and old furniture. I was locked in the bathroom (trapped). the key I locked with from inside the bathroom was the wrong key. It took me and my partner a long time to open the door with the key. We complained and received a discount. My partner found a bedsheet tucked in under the mattress in the bed. So the bed was really uncomfortable until she figured out it. At 10pm, when we went to bed, there were loud noices from the ventilation ducts, from another room in the same corridor. My partner asked them polite to be quiet. They continued to party with several people. We told the receptionist twice, and they called security. It was less noise at 01.00am and completely quiet 01.30am. I was not able to sleep until around 02.30am. And was woken by the doors in the corridor 6.30am. It felt more like a dorm than a hotel. I'm so tired now. We complained agen, but the manager for the reception told us that they had already given us a discount of 500kr and would not give us more. She told us in a quite unprofessional manner. We think we would have sleept better in the tent in the storm than in the expensive hotel and got a way better experience in the tent. So, to end this weird and unpleasant stay, we have a good breakfast. But it was hard to let go of the discussion with the receptionist.

A hotel very well located, close to the center, the port, museums and hikes as well as excursions in the fjords and the staff is really very professional and attentive to your needs, I warmly recommend and I will come back with pleasure!

Very small room with dormitory beds for more that 127 euros/night! A shame! The small windows are in front of a corridor lighted all night long. The beds are very small, like the room. No equipment at all

Checked in on 8th evening after the Norway in a Nutshell train . Were exhausted. When coffee counter was directed..there no milk, coffee machine was off, no spoons. When requested, the rude staff told us ...quote " things take time. You can do with the fork( to stir the coffee) " and left the milk at the counter, for us to ftch it ourselves. For the first time, during our holiday... we were disappointed and I personally did not bother to acknowledge her rude behaviour. But was shocked at her audacity and tell the staff in the morning about this incident. No kettles in the room , so you have to come down for coffee. The staff in the morning were extremely courteous unlike the girl in the evening, which was a saving grace. Wondering if this behaviour was reserved for the ' brownies ' like my friend says. She would not dared to behave so badly to the ' whites'. We spend a lot of money to visit these countries and such behaviour is uncalled for.

Had to stay in a building beside the main building. And as a solo guest my room came with a bunkbed of all things. The people here are nice enough tho.

A great hotel located a couple of minutes walk from the major tourist centre. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was great and the ensuite fantastic. Highly recommended

No complains, everything is OK. I desperately needed a night of "sleep like the dead", and I did. Breakfast with plenty of warm scrambled eggs and bacon, All I need. The hotel has a very good "use the towels for 3 nights, unless you have a special need". Coffee in the lobby area.

I was there for the weekend. I liked the location, the room was clean, and good food. But when we came, we didnt get any information, so I found it on the television in the room- it said the breakfast finished at 11 on saturdays and sundays. We came down 10:33, and they told us that the breakfast was finished at 10.00. I told them what I had seen on their information on the television, and the respons was «ah ok», no excuse or trying to help us. We didnt have any towles and no toilet paper, when I told them this, they said «ah ok, just come down and pick it up» - no help here ether. The worst part was the breakfast: because of the short time the breakfast was open, there were so many people eating, some didnt get any place to sit and eat. I had to sit with three people I did not know… The shower was bad, but it did its job. Not recommended from me, and I will not come back here unfortunately..

Ok-ish. Not so clean room, hair in the bathroom. Old furniture but ok. Great location. Good breakfast, bad coffee as usual in scandinavia. Kinda expensive for what it offers...

Nice place to stay. Easy access to most everything once you get your bearings. Great beakfast - lots of super different foods to select!

Great hotel in the city center, cheap parking (150 NOK per day) 50m from the hotel. The room was spacious, with a couch. Good service, good breakfast, free coffee during the day. Would return here.

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. Very bad hotel rooms and the service is worse. No air conditioning, roma are very warm in summer . No parking, and they don’t even care. Just don’t 😩

I had a great service from the friendly staff. The included breakfast was really good and open from 6:30 to 10:00 which is great if you’re an early bird or not. As for the room, it was nice and clean but we could hear everything from the rooms next to ours (people talking to phone conversations).

Lovely hotel. Great location. Breakfast was plentiful and yummy. Room was big enough. Dryer for clothes not the best - took a few hours to do laundry.

Had a wonderful stay while on a corporate training in the city. Excellent staff, comfortable and cozy rooms, wonderful breakfast and my personal favourite free tea and waffles in the afternoons.

A nice cosy hotel. Room was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. Only stayed two nights but olan to go back to Bergen and will probably book here again. Good value for money.

The location is optimal. Very close to Bryggen, the main train station, all different bus stops, and all the shops. The staff are very nice and helpful and the breakfast is very generous with various options. Complementary tea and coffee also available all day. The only negative thing are the thin walls. Had some noisy neighbours the other night and could even hear their TV being on till 1:00 am

Rooms were dirty (Carpet and hairs on the pillow). When complaining we were only told to say this at the reception directly. Instead of apologies we got an unfriendly remark instead. Neither daily cleaning of the room, nor provision of any new towels. This was described as normal procedure. Small breakfast buffet lacking choice, for example: just ordinary coffee, no espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato etc In total: completely sub- standard compared to all other hotels we visited in Norway. Made it easy for us to leave the beautiful city of Bergen Strong advice: If possible, book something else in Bergen. Even a simple hostel might offer better service

Hotel with perfect location. Our rooms were large. The braekfast was good. And it is possible to book a parking space nearby. Unfortunately the staff at the reception was not very welcoming and quiet desinterested. And the rooms definatly need a renovation. It all felt worn out. To expensive for the room quality.

Well, this was a great stay. Comfy rooms, friendly staff, and huge neverending 6-10 breakfasts. Definitely a good choice, if you're looking for a stay in the very heart of Bergen!

I was given a very small, depressing looking room. The bathroom left me a little speechless, the picture speaks for itself. Wouldn't work for a big person. The floor never really dries and the shower curtain doesn't get to either so it just stinks. Only single layered window and there was a very loud jobsite right next door so not sleep starting at 8am. Bed was comfortable and location was great though.

The hotel is conveniently located in the Bergen Harbor. The rooms are modern and have recently been renovated. If you come by car there is no parking, but they offer 15% discount on the nearby parking lot (~25€/$30 for the night). The staff didn't automatically explain this upon arrival and other things, so make sure you ask all the relevant questions you may be interested in.

Smelled very unpleasant in the room. Musty and old like. Have to pay if you want a late checkout.

The hotel was very clean and well kept. The gentleman working at the breakfast bar in the morning was very enthusiastic and heavy handed, so come hungry. The waffles were delicious and so was the selection of meats. Hands down the best breakfast I've had at a hotel. Finally, don't forget to pack a little lighter when visiting Europe - a lot of the buildings do not have elevators (including hotels!) :)

Very small rooms but the hotel is clean and well situated.

Exactly what you expect from 3-star hotel in Bergen. Quiet, tidy, close to city centre and light rail + solid breakfast included.

Very bad rooms, not close to worth the money. Do not buy a night there if it's on sale or not. There's uncleaned rooms and shady staff, with hair in the sinks, stains on walls and furniture, low quality bed, not recommend.
