Despite the excellent breakfast and rooms (they are small but I'm ok with it), my room towards the light well was exposed to a horrendous continuous sound of the HVAC systems throughout the night. Only after booking this hotel I saw the unfortunate reviews. I ask at the reception to sort the problem but despite their kind nature, they only offered ear plugs as well as an upgrade to a senior suite paying extra 50euros a night. I don't recommend this place due to the risk of being placed in one of the noise exposed rooms. This complaint is also shared by a work colleague who stayed in another room. Imagine that, paying extra 50 euros for the privilege of not sleeping with ear plugs ...

Spent at Scandic Torget Bergen 2 nights. I have to say very good breakfast with many options to pick up. Room simply equiped but spacey enough. Not small. Bathroom size average and shower tube also average, not small as well. All clean, no dust. Only disadvantage I found was no place to seat since no chair or sofe in my room.I mean no single one:) Only place to seat was the bed.Weird solution;) Anyways I have to say all good with single strange detail and polite and helpful crew on the top.

This hotel is expensive compared to the facilities it offers. Location is good. Rooms are basic and below expectation in some cases. Lobby is small.

Stayed here two nights in May 2023 and can't speak highly enough of the service, food, location, and room. Right across the street from the fish market, and two blocks from the historic district/shopping, this place is perfectly situated to see Bergen. We parked the car and didn't move it for two day since we could walk to the Hanseatic Museum, shopping, food, bars, parks, tram, etc. quite easily. The front desk staff were super helpful with recommendations and assistance. The room was comfortable, beds were great, pillows great, bathroom facilities were perfect; no issues at all. Would highly recommend.

The double deluxe room on the 5th floor was great, a view directly out to the harbour where most of the fjord tours depart. You can walk to the majority of the attractions from this location within around 1.5km. The breakfast was fantastic.

Honestly the best 3 star hotel I ever visited! Really clean, spacious room, great location and an amazing breakfast with many options.

I recently stayed at the Torget Hotel in Bergen and was absolutely delighted with my experience. The charming decor and friendly staff instantly made me feel welcome. The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and well-appointed, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The hotel's prime location offered easy access to both the historic district and the famous fish market. The complimentary breakfast boasted a delicious array of local and international cuisine. I highly recommend Torget Hotel for an unforgettable and comfortable stay in Bergen.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend getting a front-facing room for an amazing view of the bay and city. Great location, room was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing with tons of delicious, fresh options. Only minus was that the bed was actually two twin beds pushed together, but considering we were outside all day, difficult to consider that anything more than a nitpick. Had a great time overall.

Over promise, under delivery. We booked (and paid) room with sea view and king size bed for three nights. We got queen size bed with king size upper mattress and view to the next building. We complained the bed issue after first night and asked for new room. We got upper mattress changed two separate ones that were also too big for the bed. Now finally for last night the upper mattress was changed again but we are still missing what we paid for = big bed and sea view. No one has been sorry or offered any compensation. Location is great though… Edit… when leaving the hotel we got compensation but it would have been much nicer to get correctly equipped room from first complain.

Great location, in front of the fish market and fjord. Nice breakfast. But you have to park the car at other place called Klostergarasjen, an underground parking lot, and you have to ask for discount from the hotel.

Great staff, location and cleanliness. The room was spacious and the restaurant had lot of options and good food. The hotel is located as central as you can get it in Bergen city centre.

This top-notch city center hotel is a true gem! The rooms are beautifully appointed, the staff is genuinely hospitable, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. The on-site restaurant serves world-class cuisine, and the rooftop bar offers breathtaking views. A must-stay for anyone visiting the city.

Hotel is fine and location is great. However be careful as front desk staff can be quite problematic. Stayed there beginning of August and we had a problem with the parking as the tariff for guests was not applied correctly. It's been more than a month and still navigating through their lies, lack of response and pretty bad Scandic Customer Service..

Lovely hotel. The person at the reception were very helpful with our reservation complication and worked everything out. The breakfast was great and the rooms are spacious and clean. The location is perfect if you arrive by boat, as it is directly in front of the dock.

Located in a prime area, right in the center of Bergen, makes it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The rooms are clean and comfortable for a pleasant stay. One of the highlights of this hotel is the breakfast. They offer a variety of Nordic dishes, including herring, cheese, and freshly baked bread, along with some cakes, juices, and so on. Rates are a bit higher than average, but that's the price to pay for quality and being central.

After staying in the Voss Scandic last night this stay was disappointing. View of an office block, facilities like the fridge missing from the room and woken by loud running water for a very long time. Breakfast was distinctly average compared to the other Norwegian hotels we stayed at on this trip. The do not disturb sign says in English ' I'm busy choosing the TV channel '. There are no English language TV channels and our TV kept cutting out. Also no functionality to use Netflix unlike other Scandic hotels. All in all just about ok, staff were not helpful so if you book do not have high expectations. Would not stay again personally.

Most of the Scandic hotel staff I met in Norway and Finland are super helpful and friendly. Here I met some staff without smile or greetings, just as some of the comments said. The room is super small but you cannot expect a lot in this central area.

We reserved a room in October for New Year's Eve with a beautiful view of Brygen. Upon arriving on 31st of December, we found a closed hotel and a note redirecting us to a different hotel. We were not notified beforehand. We got a room with a view of a brick wall instead. The hotel is not replying to our calls and messages. Scandic Torget Bergen is not to be trusted!

We loved this hotel! It is perfectly located and close to everything! I will say, if you prefer the quiet, this may not be the hotel for you. This is the prime tourist area and on the weekends, the outside can get pretty loud with people up late. If you don’t mind it, then stay here. The breakfast was DELICIOUS and had all of the options. Rooms were clean, had everything we needed and the staff was great. Would stay here again.

Hotel is nice enough, rooms are on the smaller side. Bed too firm and there was a foul smell from the sewer in the bathroom. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Basic breakfast.

Amazing place! And I was so lucky to get the room from which I had the panoramic view of the beautiful mountains and ocean of Bergen. Recommend this place ❤️ Thank you Scandic!

Verry nicee hotel and great central place to sleep. In the evening you can verry nicee eat a cross the street. We loved the sushi speciali the poke bowl and also across the street in the White building you can take a beer and playing diverent games. Verry nicee with family and friends.

Excellent breakfast, nice staff, comfy beds. We staid in a family room, and it would have been nice, if it had been slightly bigger. However, for the price it was really quite excellent, and we spent 2 lovely nights there, while visiting Bergen. Excellent location, great with kids. There are no activities for kids here, but ours loved the breakfast, and with this location, the is the main attraction and activity. Bigger family rooms and better coffee would have earned it 5 stars in my book.

We booked in for a harbour view room and it was well worth it, being able to look out at the harbour and mountains in the morning was a great experience. There was a great selection at breakfast, including make your own waffles and a cooked breakfast. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The Hotel have a very good position with a nice view and easy to find it. We got very good service in the reception. They managed to find the room like we asked. The room was well cleared. Nice interior design and it was comfortable both the bed and the sleeping couch. The breakfast was buffet and it had also products for those who had allergy or lactose / gluten intolerance.

Good location but too noisy A family run hotel with a great location (walking distance to all of Bergen) and friendly staff. However, if you want to sleep well at the weekend, the bass from the clubs is loud all night long! Not to mention the wake up call at 3:30am because someone accidentally set off the fire alarm... The room is well laid out, but the bathroom is very small. The breakfast was copious and of good quality.

We had a lovely stay in Bergen, the staff at the hotel were friendly. But when we arrived we were supposedly upgraded to a better room with a harbour view. However we had paid for a double room with view and ended up with twin beds so this actually worked out as a downgrade. The bedrooms were far too hot with the thermostat only going as low as 20.5. The music outside was unbearable so we couldn’t have the windows open. The plus sockets in the side of the bed was broken and the bathroom socket was falling off. The tables and side hadn’t been cleaned and the sheets were changed despite us staying there for 7 nights the beds were just made. There was food remains on the chair in the bedroom. I would not recommend this hotel for luxury. The soap dispensers and shampoo containers werent filled up either.

Great location convenient to the fish market and Mount Floyen. The staff were friendly but were completely unaccommodating when it came to any issues that came up. The room was not properly cleaned. When I arrived there were crumbs on the desk and chair and items from the prior guest that weren't removed, as well as hairs throughout the room. The room had air conditioning controls that didn't do anything and since it didn't actually run the room was hot and humid the whole time. The front desk said they would try to change something in the office to make the room cooler but it did nothing. Another staff member told me it usually doesn't work. I was told to open the window but unfortunately the window is restricted and can barely open a few cm. She said in response "well it opens right?". There is also a cluster of machinery right outside the window so when you do crack open the window for relief from the oppressive heat and stuffiness, you are greeted with the loud noises of industrial fans and have to decide which is worse to deal with. My friend was also staying in this hotel and housekeeping opened their door while they were still sleeping in the morning and left the door wide open! This hotel has some serious issues that should be resolved before they welcome guests again.

Room conveniences are an after thought. All the things that make hotels comfortable are not here. The bathroom turns into a puddle during a shower. The room is not leveled with the hallway floor, so you fall into the hallway. The air conditioner says 17.5 c, but doesn't turn on. There's no where to set your stuff in the shower. The shower is adjustable and falling apart, pieces of plastic fall out of it. The room is hot, no air movement. The window looks out into an alley way with all manner of industrial vents and fans making noise all night long. The window opens a single inch. It's like this room is just a simple addition to increase revenue. It feels like a broom cupboard in a maze. This is a money trap.

Good location, modern and clean rooms. The only down side was the breakfast. According to the hotel “if you want to have a nice and calm breakfast go at 8:30am” our experience was the complete opposite. It was crowded, no tables, no enough food. People were fighting for tables and for food. While the hotel is not responsible for the lack of education of their guests, they can certainly do a lot more to improve this area, as the food is good.

The hotel and room were in general in good condition and style and with good service BUT the hotel has removed the air conditioning from the rooms and not really replaced it with anything controllable by the guest. I arrived to a stuffy and hot room, could not do anything to control the radiators which were still slightly on and the windows appeared to be locked shut. Reception offered to turn the radiators to zero and then I could have a portable fan if necessary. What I then found the following morning is that the windows have two handles and the second one allows them to be opened slightly which helps. For a four star hotel you should at least be able to regulate the room temperature yourself, even if AC is not really necessary most of the time. When AC was removed, it should have been made possible for the guests to be able to regulate the radiators.

The location is one of the best in the city. Our room wasn't the best - the bed wasn't very big and not too cozy either. The view was just a dirty inner yard. Breakfast was okay from a vegan perspective, nothing special.

Had issues with room temperature. Breakfast fruits had gone bad and it is unacceptable to serve such quality. Rest was OK. Our experience of bergen Airport Scandic was good so especially comparatively we found our stay less comfortable, including room size, space, accessibility to room and facilties in the room ( no milk/creamer for tea/coffee).

Center location in town. Service and employees are very professional. Breakfast is one of the best I had ( comparing others in USA ) . The only thing I was surprised is about size of the rooms , I guess they are all same in Norway 🇳🇴 which is very normal

Very Good location. Nice reception staff, very helpful with all questions :) lot of options for breakfast 🍳 only one minus not so comfortable to sleep with a baby, because it’s a two separate beds:) and it’s splitting in a middle..
