It's probably the only place in town where you don't have to spend a ridiculous high price for having a private room and bathroom. The staff is very nice and the position is great. It would be lovely to have a water boiler in the room!

Perfect location, but unfriendly Staff. - fast wifi, but unsecured (without password, so every hacker can use it) - the hotel has a coffee machine. I paid, got black water without milk, and didn't get a refund - the luggage store is open to everyone in the hotel No secure place to store expensive equipment

We had a nice stay in a small double room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Its location was excellent. It's near a KIWI and a REMA 1000, and a few minutes walk from a bunnpris. Also, it's easy to get on a tram or bus. It's in the city center so it's walkable from many beautiful sights. The lobby was equipped with tables, chairs and sofa. You can eat or relax in the lobby. It also provided free coffee. Overall, a nice choice for a mid-range hotel.

We stayed only for a couple of nights between camping, so didnt demand something special. Small, but clean and comfortable rooms. Everything is fine, but would be good to have Kettle in a room The center us quite close, maybe 30-40 min walk

Citybox is very nice for the price and the design is very pleasing and modern. It is also very near to Oslo S. I also loved that I don’t have to talk to reception to check in as they have multiple checkin machines up front.

An automated check in that was simple. The rooms and bathroom are small but well planned. Comfortable bed and nice shower. No breakfast available.

Got 2 singles for my daughter and I after staying in Oslo earlier in the week. Ended up with DOUBLES and they were fantastic. I can't stress enough what a bargain Citybox Hotels are. They have beautiful modern bathrooms, super comfortable beds, and you are directly in the center of it all, the train, the shops, it's all a quick walk. I actually preferred the rooms in Bergen over Oslo, but both were fantastic. No reason to stay anywhere else if you like clean, modern, and cheap. Killer wireless and great views.

We had a nice stay overall. Pros: location, near the city centre and bus station, clean, automated self check-in and check-out Cons: soundproofing was very bad, we could hear guests in other rooms and in the hallway, nothing included (no breakfast, no coffee), what is called the rooftoom fits like 3 people, our room was very small and there was no TV. If I were to stay in Bergen again I would probably look for a better deal.

We stayed for 3 days in Bergen in the Citybox. The overall experience was ok, as we were not expecting much from the booking advertising. The self check-in method is good and convenient as we have checked in easily in less than 5 mins around midnight arriving from the train station with a lot of luggage. The rooms were not cleaned at all during our stay, that was one thing we missed the most. Especially with the not changing towels and bed sheets. The rooms are spacious for 1 or 2, and our rooms had only a kettle, but I guess others might have more amenities. There was no TV either. The breakfast is not served by the hotel. They refer to the next door (literally) restaurant/bar, which serves a very pricey breakfast. The breakfast is good, but not many options are available. I'd recommend going to an espresso house close to the train station instead. The location is the top advantage of the hotel as it is very close to both the main square and the train station. The fish market is not a far walking distance either. Bergen is an amazing city, for sure the hotel has not worsened our stay in any way. If you are on a low budget and looking for a short stay, then it is a good choice.

Great location, right in the city and so didn't have to take local transportation as could walk everywhere. Great prices and some of the comfiest beds I've been in. There is a grocery store right across from the hotel and they are also adjacent to a great pizzeria and a cafe. Guests get 10% off at both.

Perfect location! Few minutes walking from the city centre! Hotel absolutely clean and neat, provided of hair and dryer towels. At the ground floor there is also kettle fridge and Toaster with coffee machine and cutlery. Very well organised Best option Perfect for 56£ a night

Love Citybox, the whole concept is practical and makes sense. Easy checkin, wonderful room, spacious bathroom. Staff was there if needed but did not bother us otherwise. My main problem in this room was tiny shower with a giant shower-head, making it impossible to actually shower with the door closed. My friend's shower was much better though. Clean, laundry service available, kitchen etc.

Citybox Bergen scrapes 3 stars (and indeed only just deserves 3 star rating as a hotel). Single room was OK, except for the bed which was at least half a metre too broad (could easily have passed for a narrow double). As a result, getting to the window meant crawling across (at my age?) or sibling round. On the wall a temperature controller that did nothing but remind one how hot it was. The staff confirmed that they do nothing except irritate the guests. Bathroom fine, shower excellent, with easily controllable temperature and flow. Breakfast not included, but can be had at the cafe next door. Few restaurants close by.

A really ideal location in Bergen, close to everything in city center, we loved it! Impeccable room, very comfortable bed, quiet and well maintained hotel. We liked a lot the common parts (kitchen, lounge) and the facility of the system set up for the check in and the check out. Very pleasant staff! We loved this hotel, and we shall return there without hesitation for our next stay in Bergen. Thank you!

Citybox is a.great location. Its a very cool, totally modern hotel. The beds are really comfortable. I was sad to leave it!

The location is good nearby senter of city. The price is high compared to the service. It is a self-catering youth hotel. The beds are very comfortable and the decorations are nice, but the heating is not optional and the rooms get very cold at night. I advise you to take a heater if you decide to book a hotel in the winter.

Citybox Bergen responded to a comment I made about citybox Oslo by giving me a very comfortable room which had a lovely view up the mountainside. The room was great, the staff all pleasant and helpful. Thanks for a nice visit to Bergen!

Clean room nice bed, high ceiling makes the small room seem bigger. Everythimg essential in place. Slight inconveniences: liw pressure in hand shower, slightly low hanging toilet seat. Price and location major assets, will use again.

Great rooms, easy checkin and pretty comfortable rooms. Slept great with fast wifi and a relaxed area in the reception with coffee and snacks.

Citybox Bergen, Nygårdsgataen. Good concept! Everything you need to sleep well and get ready for an active day in Bergen. Good location! The partner for breakfast has plenty of room for improvement. Probably not used by many and appears to have ended in av bad downward spiral - fee people, little to offer, low income, low motivation, ....... Not at all worth the money, but there are plenty of alternatives.

Really great hotel. I wish that the checkin had 'tap' option for payment (I had to struggle to find my physical card), but otherwise everything was incredible!

This budget hotel has enough space. Bathroom is good, although there are not many amenities provided. It will be a good service if there is a coffee/tea machine at the lobby for free, like wise other Citybox (in Oslo). Location 7 min from central station. They let you store your baggage before check in time.

The Hotel is really lovely, we enjoyed our stay. Very nice the lounge with the oppurtunity to have coffee or tea and a snack as well by myself.

My husband and I recently stayed at the CityBox Bergen for two nights. It is a clean, modern, no frills, budget hotel. We had no problem checking in via the kiosk at the front, but two other sets of travelers needed help. The room was small, but sufficient for two people. The bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was tiny, with zero counter space for toiletries. Overall, it was good value for the money.

The room looked ok but as soon as my wife and I entered the room we noticed a strong scent of armpit sweat that I first thought someone had steaked a hamburger inside the room, sadly it apparently wasnt enough for us to get a new room so I had to go out and buy some weed so the room could smell more welcoming. The service woman didnt even try to get us a new room just a spray with mint scent TROLOLO

Good value no frills room in Bergen. Painless self check in and comfortable clean rooms.

Clean, Efficient, and Freshly renovated. There aren't full-time staff on site, so it's a self serve kind of place. The check-in check-out process works well.and everything worked...give it a try and enjoy your stay. The beds were very comfortable too.

Nice budget hotel (one step above a hostel). Confusing Kiosk to gain entry. Make sure you have all your paperwork available. The system does not work if you are checking into more than one room. There is a call button and the hostess came and checks us in manually. She was very helpful. The coffee machine was out of order. There is a nice grocery store across the street and we were able to store a few items in a marked bag in the shared common refrigerator similar to a hostel. Wood utensils, electric kettle, and napkins are provided. We enjoyed our two night stay. Zen is a Vietnamese restaurant nearby for a quick simple and filling meal.

I love this hotel. It was affordable and everything is simple. The room is clean and tidy. And they have luggage storage that is very helpful. The location is perfect. Its near the mall, the park, and a lot of restaurants near the hotel. The check in and check out process are so easy and simple. They have laundry room too and you can contact the host whenever you need something. I have no complain and i would love to stay there if i go to bergen again.

We stayed a whole week and did not find anything wrong with the hotel. It's quite close to the center and several caffès and restaurants. Heating works perfectly and the common areas have kettle , microwave, disposable plates, iron , etc. it wasn't noisy. What I didn't like was that there was a lot of lint in the room just flying around. Not sure why and how. But otherwise it was all great.

I know we stayed Saturday night, but wow this hotel is noisy with people partying, coming in late at night, running in the hallways, talking loudly. Room was somehow very hot even while it was only 5 degrees C outside. The ceiling light has what I'd like to call made-in-China ghost lamps, that don't fully switch off, so you're looking at a dim glow the whole night. We were drawn by the ability to use the washing machine, but the dryer was out of order so we had to improvise. Location is great though, 15 min walk to the harbour.

Modern and quiet. It had a lot of simple things like a tv projector or the public kitchen with a fridge and a microwave that are really appreciated. Checking in was quite easy excluding the slow and probably old devices. Great and cheap place to stop by when in Bergen. Definitely worth the price.

I usually stay here when I don't want breakfast and basically just need a place to sleep. It's close to everything and there's a convenience store across the street, pubs and restaurants nearby. The rooms are Clean , modern and nice, the price is low and it's easy for parking with Grieg Hall just across the street for 240/night .

Nice Modern hotel. Comfy bed. Love the projector idea. Super easy to connect to. I do feel like the shower could have been planned out better. Drainage was terrible and water was all over the floor because there was no proper seal on the doors or maybe the drain was partly clogged. Not sure but definitely was strange. Over i enjoyed the stay.

We had a really good experience here! The hotel was nicely designed for being a budget option. Everything was very clean and the room and bed were comfortable. There was nothing extra, but it wasn’t lacking anything we needed either. Absolutely would stay here again.

The rooms are small but cozy. The point is you can not disconnect the air conditioning, so your sleeping experience is ruined. For similar price you can have a better one.

Modern and well kept building. The common room with fridge, microwave and coffee machine is simple but a nice idea. Would have been nice to have more storage (no shelfs or closet in the room, only a desk).

We knew this was a more simple hotel and that amenities were limited, which we were okay with (ie. Did not have tv or fridge in room, etc), but the amount that we paid for this hotel, did not seem worth it what we got. We were in Norway for a little while and understand it’s not a cheap country to travel to, but for roughly $200 a night, I wouldn’t stay here again and would not recommend. We stayed at lots of other hotels in Norway, also in Bergen, with similar pricing and had a lot more amenities at other hotels. That aside- the location was great. Check in was easy and simple.

The most suitable hotel for a traveler which do not plan to spend all his journey in the hotel. Good value. The beds are also confortable.

Easy, and cheap... if you have a car/bike u just park in " Bergen By Parkering"(big City parking) then walk down to Citybox..hotel looks very new, and modern..no tv on the room.. some distance down city centre but completely walkable (also you walk through the park on you're way down so always something to watch)
