Great hotel - location just fantastic - breakfast ✅✅✅ - however - they allow smokers to stand outside front door with a ashtray filthy smoke to walk into and out of hotel - if it wasn’t for that I would give hotel a 5 star

Superb buffet style breakfast and great local to explore the city of Bergen. The only reason to rate 4 was the curtain in the room was not covering entire window making it difficult to sleep….

We enjoyed our 3 nights stayed in this hotel. The location was good since it was just one from the bus and train station and 15 minutes walk to the center of Bergen. The room was perfect for a trip like ours that didn’t have a big luggage and we were just travelling with confy clothes. A very basic room with no closet to hang your clothes. It just have 4 hangers in a very small shelf next to an iron board. The breakfast was included and was delicious. For 8.50 Euros approx., you can take food for lunch so it was perfect to have that option one of the days. The hostess at the Breakfast Buffet, Giselda, was super nice and helpful!! She’ll host all the guest with a smile in her face!! 🤗

Very nice hotel located in a decent spot in Bergen. Close walk to many attractions and the main city areas. The rooms were a little cramped, considering the size of the hotel. Staff and service were excellent. Breakfast was also very good, although other hotels we visited during our trip definitely did it better. No valet parking or parking facilities at the hotel, so you have to self park at the garage close by. Still a very good experience overall.

Initially there was a slight issue with my room. But now that it has been sorted, I am quite happy with the hotel. Excellent breakfast and kind and responsive staff. Location is quite central too.

The rooms are small as they are in most Scandinavian countries due to the very high cost of living. Though small, they are very expensive compared with other countries. The hotel is right next to the high street and shopping plazas in town. Both the tram station and the central bus station are not far from the hotel. Therefore, it is quite convenient to travel by tram or bus from the airport to the hotel. The hotel impresses with its elegantly white building as well as courteous and helpful staff.

The location was excellent and the staff very friendly. The breakfast has a lot of varieties and Giselda was very very nice, helpful and cheerful. It was nice chatting with her. The location obviously is very good. Walking distance to almost everything. The room was good and had everything we needed. A bit small but still ok. Overall our stay was a success and I will definitely rebook with this hotel if or when I come back, because Bergen is so so much fun to visit

Rooms were quite small, especially when you have a bunk bed set up. The window was small, so it was very dark in here. Breakfast were very chaotic and there were always lots of people. I felt like the breakfast area was too small to handle people from such a large hotel. One good thing about it is location. It's super close to the bus station and railway station, and 15 min walk or short bus ride to the city center. I only recommend this hotel if you are rather an extravert and crowds doesn't matter for you

Absolutely fabulous breakfast! I mean it! On the other hand, no AC in the rooms, which is a problem when it’s unusually hot in the city. We had to open a window and doors to get some fresh air in. Small outdated gym. But otherwise a solid choice near the train station and in the walking distance from the center.

Overall a decent hotel! Clean, good location, and nice guests. No room safe. Breakfast was OK; definitely not fabulous, unlike some of the reviews have claimed.

3 nights stay. Poor food selection, only chicken is served as meat. Location is very good and its a short way to all interesting places in bergen.

Very convenient to the train station and just above the park. They messed up our reservation but worked hard to correct it. The breakfast is good.

The foto of hotel navigation describes the state of hotel as it is. Great food, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. If you are sensitive, do not forget your earplugs - A/C in the room is central and works nonstop. Traveling with lifts is neverending ride. Hotel's facilities are worn out. Luggage room is on your own risk. Missing amenities in the room. Bed is extremly soft. No place for storing suitcase. Window from ceiling to floor is in front of office building so people in offices can watch. No curtains only blackout ones. Missing shoehorn, sewing kit.

I spent three nights in the hotel in the 2nd week of August. I am absolutely satisfied with its service. First of all, the breakfast was brilliant! One of the best hotel breakfasts in the world I have ever tried. The hotel building close to the city centre, Bergen Port and Bryggen, and has excellent access to public transport. Million thanks to the staff, they were all very kind and helpful. I loved them. The room was fine, clean, comfortable, quite spacious. The bed and bedding made me a good sleeper. I had only one tiny problem: I could not find out how to use air conditioning panel which is placed fixed on the wall. I tried but failed. Perhaps, it was controlled centrally. Anyway, because I have caught a three-days-raining period in Bergen (what a surprise! :) and the daily temperature reduced down to +10 centigrade, sometimes I felt the room cold. All in all, I think this hotel definitely deserves five stars on Google.

Great location, within 5 minutes walking distance from a tram station, a shopping centre and the Bergen Train Station. We arrived late in the evening and had to leave early as well. Both check-in and checkout were smooth and quick. The buffet dinner had a medium selection but was very good quality and tasty. Buffet breakfast was great.

The hotel is modern and well located, close to the center and next to the train station. The rooms are spacious, but the cleanliness can be greatly improved. It is surely a management problem. There were details in the room, such as the coffee maker, which looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. We even found food, a sausage, inside the water heater left by the previous guest. How can these things not be checked in room cleaning? I include photos so you can see it. Also details like the dirty bathroom door frame. In short, I believe that cleanliness should be a key aspect when sleeping in a hotel. On the other hand, after having stayed in different Norwegian hotels on our trip, we noticed that the breakfast was not at the same level as other hotels of the same category and price. I will be more specific. The coffee was very bad, undrinkable. Very bitter, burnt. The fried eggs were usually cold, the sausages were of low quality and, worst of all, the only toaster that there was only worked half of it, that is, every morning you had to wait and wait until you could toast yourself. I was in the hotel 7 nights and the toaster was not fixed or changed. What difficulty was there to put another toaster? It is not a problem of the staff but of the hotel management. Another aspect that I did not like was the gym because it was not clean. The machines were dirty but from a long time ago. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. On a positive note, I must say that the reception staff were very friendly and diligent.

A very good hotel in an excellent location. Just misses the mark on cleanliness (hair on bedroom floor, generally dusty throughout) but the bed was very comfortable and the hotel quiet. We enjoyed exploring Bergen for a day and then used the city as a jumping-off point to drive to nearby fjords.

Our room was booked through a service, and we were not disappointed. Our room was clean, comfortable, had a good view of Bergen and was centrally located. The breakfast buffet was above par, as was the hotel bar.

Room was pretty good, but the bathtub was leaking all over the floor when draining. 1 star due to the room being straight bellow the stage of a live concert for a xmas table lasting well past 01 am. We got no warning of this. Reception did not answer our calls. Hotel claims the bar closes at 12, but it certainly didn’t this day. Last time staying at Scandic, and especially here 😅😇 We just wanted to celebrate out anniversary, but this was certainly not the celebration we were hoping for…. View was great tho

Hotel Ørnen is located centrally in Bergen, right next to the bus and train stations and a short walk from all the city center amenities. Not a beautiful, but a very practical location. The facilities have a good and modern standard. However, during my last stay the hotel also hosted huge Christmas parties, with very loud music banging into the wee hours, making it impossible to sleep. I really feel that they need to realize that turning all the public areas of the hotel into a disco is incompatible with maintaining decent and normal hotel standards. Turning down the volume would have solved it. Until then, I would stay away.

Great hotel a few minutes walk from a couple of the Kode buildings. If staying during the November/December period just 5 minutes from The Christmas market. The hotel was lovely, warm and comfortable. My only gripe was on the Friday night of our stay there was a private event in the hotel, despite being on 11th floor we heard every beat of the music until 2am. For me the best thing is breakfast, as a coeliac this and to be honest all Scandic hotels whether it be Norway/Denmark or Sweden have a great selection of gluten free products. Staff were great.

Reviewing the room only. The room is dark, not enough lights (one doesn’t work and other barley works). My room overlooks the elevators. When I’m sitting down I get to lock eyes with people coming out of elevator. It’s quite awkward. Update: toe nails were found by the door.

We stayed at Scandic Ørnen for 2 nights. We had perfect view from the room. The room was big, clean, and everything was amazing. The cleaning service, the staff at the breakfast room and the reception. Everybody is polite, they do their best to help you with everything you may need. The breakfast is rich and fresh. All the places inside the hotel are very clean. We are really happy and satisfied for staying at Scandic. We hope we come back some day. Thank you for making our day fabulous.

Nice room for a fair price being so close to the railway station. About a 5 minute flat walk. Urban room views. I found the cleaning to be a bit shoddy. Even after a small reminder. Easy maintenance things left standing here and there. Oscillating temperature in the shower was a bit annoying. Nothing major. Friendly staff. Although a bit short staffed in the reception at times. The breakfast was normal for this type of hotel. Everything youd need. Did not try the restaurant. Ill be happy to go back.

Cleaning is really bad in my room. Stayed for 5 nights. On the second day, I had a minor accident in in the town and got some bruises. A couple of them made blood stains during night on the bed sheets - and they were never changed. Also in the bathroom there were long black hairs on the shower wall (I’m bold) and soap marks on the sink table. Those stayed all 5 days. Everything at the hotel is closed on sundays - so don’t arrive there, if you wanna use a bar or restaurant at your hotel.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this hotel. Pros:- 1. Convenient location in the city centre. 2. Clean rooms and bed linen. 3. Delicious well-spread breakfast. 4. Extremely courteous front desk and restaurant staff. 5. Plenty of complementary tourist maps and guides. Cons:- 1. We took the room with 2 single beds. The beds were quite tiny. 2. Our room view was of the lift lobby, which was a bit intrusive to privacy if the curtains weren’t drawn together. 3. A bit expensive, but probably expected considering it’s Norway and a city centre location. 4. No English channels on TV.

Room is a bit dark - other than that no complaints. Front desk helpful & friendly. Breakfast was good as it usually is at Scandic hotels. Impressive staff at breakfast serving.. doing their best to keep tables cleaned off & food filled. Thought service ended early at 9:30. Most hotels I stay at serve breakfast until 10

Pleasant, helpful staff on the front desk. The rooms are good but did show signs of requiring a little maintenance. On the whole, this a great place to stay in a great location.

This hotel receives a 0 star from me before even check-in. Front desk with attitude, no receipt for your stored luggage, no one bothers to help. The attitude of the front desk make me feel like it is the only hotel in town and I can **** off if I’m not satisfied. I’ve been traveling for the past three months or so, it’s the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced so far. Great job!

A very nice hotel overall, clean and very well equipped with delicious and super varied breakfast buffet, which may be its highlight. Nice helpful staff available at any time. Close to the city center, 15 away from Bryggen. The only downsides: the bed is not a queen bed, but two twin beds put together, so it's not so comfortable for a couple. Also, some hangers for the towels in the bathroom would have been nice. We stayed at the 12th floor, which offers amazing views, but some industrial buildings and a large parking interfered with the panoramic. Super cozy rooms overall.

This hotel is for business. The breakfast ist delicious and the service is friendly. The room cleaning was not so good. They miss us 1 day and the other 2 day the only change the towel. They forget the basket for trash. We must talk to the chambermaids 2 times. After that the room cleaning was okay. If you stay 1-2 nights is that not a problem. For mir nights you have to talk with the chambermaid or the reception.

Centrally located - 15 min walk to fish market passing by the main central areas. Bed was comfortable- breakfast is excellent - big hotel though with many people can get over congested - there was a party in level 1 and I could hear the beat at level 4

Did not stay there but visited this hotel for a conference. The staff was nice and the service was good enough. During the breaks there was always good snacks, fruits, and hot drink. There was plenty of food and choices during the lunch.

Nice hotel, but freezing cold. The central heating, or should I say cooling system is useless. If your lucky when there's not a lot of guests you have to ask for an oven. A hotel this size should be able to provide comfortable room temperature.

Found a used teaspoon in the room when checking in. Not all but some receptionists are pretty rude to asians, first encounter with such behaviours in norway. Other than that, breakfast was good and the city is beautiful. I like the terrace on level 9.

Located a short walk away from Bergen train station. Tram stop to airport right outside. Shopping mall across the road. Great location. Exceptional (in my opinion) breakfast buffet spread with lots of healthy choices. My only criticism - rooms are dimly lit - it seems to this way in all European hotels. Particularly noteworthy during dark Norwegian winter.
