The hostel was very affordable and definitely worth the money. It was in a central location and easy to get to basically everywhere! The room I stayed in was nice and quiet and had a large restroom. It's difficult to meet people though as people tend to stick to themselves. But other than that, it served its purpose!

This is a great hostel with everything i look for in accommodation: great kitchen (though small for the amount of people) and dining area. Cosy living area. There's a free computer to use and look for information. Awesome location! 5 minutes walking distance to the train station. Comfortable beds. Big lockers in the room. Many toilets and showers to use, in case the one in your room is taken. And the staff is very friendly! From the girl who checked me in and answered all my questions to the cleaning lady, thank you! I'd definitely be back when I'm in Bergen again

Beds are very cheap, aka squeaky and wobbly, worse than your typical hostel bed. There were no outlets by any of the beds in the room I stayed in. Showers were good but bathroom right next to lounge, slightly awkward because everyone can hear you. Kitchen was a mess, I walked in and then right out. Reception has limited hours and are not the most friendly staff. There is luggage storage and the location is decent.

Overall we had a great stay at the Marken Guesthouse. There were plenty of bathrooms and showers so you never had to wait. Dorm rooms were spacious, with plenty of light, and the beds were comfortable. It was also a quick walk to town and the train station. My only complaint was that one of the people staying there stole our food out of the fridge which was a really petty act. Not really the fault of the hostel but still annoying.

Great hostel located steps from the city centre. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are clean. It's a mix of families, young backpackers and seasoned travellers. Not loud and rowdy - quite a calm environment when I was there, though everyone was friendly still!

Very nice hostel, very clean, good bathrooms and plenty of them, well equipped kitchen and comfortable dining and lounge area. Good location. Only down side was that you could only leave luggage after check out until 4pm, which is not very convenient if you are taking a late bus or flight. I think they should find a way to make this later as it is really quite inconvenient.

Clean and hygienic. Was my first ever trip to a hostel and was pleasantly surprised. Very centrally located so 5 mins walk to the centre and all other rides.extremely helpful attendant at the reception. Stayed over weekend. Highly recommend

This is the first time I stay in a hostel. I was a bit scare about sharing room with strangers but this place made me feel real safe. The common area was so clean and neat. The bath rooms are constantly kept clean. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful pointing things like where and what to do. I would highly recommend this place even though you never stay in a hostel before. Also need to mention this place is so close to town and the train station.

Stayed here for 1 night and had uneasy arrival and departure times... This was no problem at all and the staff arranged a flawless solution which enabled me to enter and leave as requested. Room was clean and keeping in mind that they call themselves a hostel, prices were reasonable and worth their value (life in Norway also is more expensive) Good place to stay and in the center of Bergen.

Great place. The kitchen fits a lot of people so not that much need to worry about space when eating for dinner. The sofa/common area with Netflix gave a good opportunity to socialise. Ample shower and toilet space (however I did stay in January - somewhat off-peak). Close to city centre, grocery stores and transport (Bergen has a good tram system).

Very good place in Bergen for one or more nights. Good localization and helpfull stuff.

Nice hostel, perfectly located. Was staying in 10 bed room. Room is huge, view from the window is fantastic and it was nice and clean. There is also a kitchen and a dining area. The only minor issue I had is that was a bit cold in the room. As I said, the room is huge and there is only one heater. I guess the room temperature is ok to Norwegians, but for visitors outside Norway and Scandinavian countries, I don't think that is comfortable room temperature.

A lot of drunk and drug addicted people. Multiple fire alarms during my stay. Shower and toilets often not clean. The reception / cleaning personal is helpful but this place lucks control big time.

Very conveniently located - 200 meters from the main transport terminals, rippled with the tourist sites of Old Bergen. Clean, very friendly staff, there is a possibility to cook your own food in a small shared kitchen. Of the non-Gatian, only one thing: if you arrived by your own car, then there is nowhere to put it next to the hotel. But for backpackers - the place is just perfect!

location was good but value for the money was not. you got to put your bed and pillow cover and remove them to put in washing room. pay extra for towel. rooms are small. okay but not great. unfortunately not child friendly.

I stayed here for 3 nights. This place is very centrally located and offers all the amenities one might need. Great place to meet other fellow travellers. Quite clean as well. Definitely good value for money.
