If you're a foreigner, I wouldn't recommend booking this hotel. There appears to be discrimination towards foreigners, with differing treatment compared to locals. As a non-Norwegian, you will not have access to all the hotel's amenities. The receptionists are rather unfriendly and not at all helpful. To compound these issues, the rooms are cramped and the overall atmosphere resembles a low-quality airport hotel. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place.

Overall, really poor. The rooms were not clean, the interior rooms are not insulated well for sound, the front desk doesn't answer their phone, they charge extra for parking and they don't keep to quiet hours after 10pm (very loud until at least midnight). The breakfast was mediocre in quality too. I sincerely do not recommend this establishment. EDIT: In response to the Hotel manager, saying that it states "very clearly under description of this roomtype" that the interior rooms are more noisy is simply untrue. I attached additional pictures from YOUR website. It doesn't even specify whether a room is interior or exterior. And there is no description of the rooms listed at all, let alone that they are noisy. In addition, I spoke to your staff TWICE that day about concerns with the noise level in the room and was dismissed both times. In addition, to allow such a high noise level past 10pm in your own hotel is a disservice to all your other guests that are hoping to sleep. You will certainly not have my business anymore and I will actively avoid choice hotels henceforth, due to your dishonesty.

I do not recommend booking this hotel. As a foreigner, I felt very bad in this hotel, noticing a significant difference in relation to the Norwegians, who were treated quite differently. There seems to be discrimination against foreigners. You cannot count on all the hotel amenities unless you are a resident of this country. Most hotel staff are very rude and not helpful at all. The receptionists seemed like they worked there as punishment. Considering the high price for accommodation, you could count on something much better. Very small and unclean rooms. If you want to have a good rest in Bergen, I definitely recommend finding another better hotel than this one.

Rooms need a definite upgrade but size is quite good. I should also mention the service and some entertainment for a short stay such as a kids room, air hockey and gym. Finally it is about 15min from City Center and bus stop is conveniently located just a few meters from the Hotel.

This is excellent if you work at Equinor and just want somewhere to rest between the work days. Rooms are spacious, good, calm, no noise from traffic. A bit limited work desk, but if you are there for resting that should not be a priority anyway. Restaurant have all the necessary options, both for dinner and breakfast. It is not gourmet, but quite ok. There is a gym and you can opt for a run or a walk along paths in the forest. It is somewhat confusing to find the way.. err.. but bring a google app and you should be fine. Price? It is fine. I think we pay around 1300 pr night. Recommended

Great breakfast and helpful staff. Location fine with good connection to the airport and to downtown. Tasty dinner from menu. But we had a room where water in the wash-basin didnt drain and was permanently full of impurity. If you share the room with a friend, it is not quite comfortable. We asked for help, staff was helpful but in general, the hotel is aged and it was clear that our room is not the only one with similar troubles.

This is a conference hotel. Not nice for a holiday. When we were their, a big congres was going on. They partied al night leaving the rest of the guests with no sleep. Next morning al of the congress people had breakfast and again leaving no room for the normal guests. Very very bad! We booked a superior room, but at first they gave us a normal room. After asking we got the superior room (very old).

Very average hotel. Restaurant and bar wasn’t open (Sunday evening). Nothing close by in terms or restaurants/food. Pillows on the bed weren’t very comfortable. Clean and tidy room and everything was “ok” but if you don’t have another option. Breakfast was ok, good variety but not as good as the sister hotel in bodo. Also the bedside lights have a very annoying red light you can’t turn off. Annoying when you’re trying to sleep.

Great place for conference and meeting. Very nice meeting roms. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lunch was Great. The free icecream and popcorn is awesome. Stayed one night in a superior double room. Rooms and furniture are starting to look a little tired. I think it must be getting close to 15 years since the last renovation. Dinner and breakfast was OK, but quality not as good as when I ate here 2 years ago.

The hotel is centrally located in Sandsli close to public transport that connects you to Bergen city and Flesland airport. The rooms were clean with enough seats and storage space, and high ceiling. The beds were comfortable. Good water pressure in the bathrooms. The hotel is great for families with young kids. My toddler liked the glass lift and both kids liked the piano. The hotel offers parking. We stayed here for a week because of work and breakfast was great everyday with a good variety and effective breakfast staff. The only thing missing that would be great addition is a kids playroom or a pool. We will be back!

The hotel is great, rooms are comfortable and clean. Receptionists are friendly and ready to help guests Breakfast of good quality and abundant I would suggest only installing an automatic coffee machine for coffee lovers.

Business trip. Good clean room, ok food. As expected for a 4 star hotell. Plenty of space. Location in a residential area, so really nothing to see that is apparent. Very nice personell. Not very easy to find the reception when you arrive, basic use of signs towards reception not in place. Difficult to find the parking in the basement. No visible stations for desinfecting your hands before going into to the restaurant. It's a big hotel and the layout of the Breakfast area was not very efficient, no flow around the buffet etc.: people were colliding a lot. Scrambled eggs was 3 out of 5. Croissants and other things was moved around from day to day. Good hotel but needs to mature maybe.

Staff was not able to help with early check in, but at least let us store the bags in the storage room. Bed is way too jumpy - sleeping together in one bed is very uncomfortable. The pillow was also bad. On the bright side, breakfast is very good

Nausea-inducing colour choices in the rooms aside (who came up with institution green walls and purple carpets?), a nice conference hotel conveniently located close to the airport and with a tram connection to both airport and downtown.

Very slow internet, I was planning to get some work done but had to give it up because of the slow internet. The reception said it was because the hotel was nearly full. That's just not good enough.

A little gar from downtown, but the location is quiet and secure. The rooms are nice, however there wasnt a kettle in the room for tea and coffee

Shame the bar wasn't open in the evening. I'm always one for using Public transport this hotel is quite a stroll from the tram stop... Room was nice and clean though.

Nice hôtel. Rooms ok. Parking too small. Restaurant closes early (10pm). Breakfast is good

What a memorable and excellent complimentary breakfast buffet!! The selection was amazing: tasty pastries, lots of warm and cold food, and delicious fish--such a perfect and solid way to start the day. This really won me over to Nordic Choice hotels.

A smart hotel with some very appealing particularly Norwegian furnishings and art. The breakfast was very good with cooked offerings available from 07.00. The rooms are modern and spacious and the service is friendly and good.

Very good. Slept like a baby in a comfy bed❤️ Breakfast was delicious and social distancing was arranged very well . We even got our EV on charge for the night, for free.

Hotel is nice designed and clean. Rooms are modern style furnished with cosy beds. However, for breakfast they offer hearty dishes only with very poor coffee. Service is poor since staff is just overloaded with the big number of guests. This mass tourism ultimately ends in battles at the breakfast buffet. Next time I will try to find anything better.

You will be impressed as soon as you enter the lobby, but immediately you will change your opinion when you enter the room! Very old style room! The only positive thing is charming view. Housekeeping staff entering the room without knocking although I am hanging “Don’t Disturb” sign, I have talked to the reception and the housekeeper then apologized. The room slipper is to pay for, surprisingly! It’s far away from the city and nothing interesting around it. I will highly recommend any Bergen’s visitor to book in one of the city center hotels, it will change your Bergen experience alot

I absolutely loved being here. Because of some issues at the airport, I came in a little later than I wanted (that being around 2am). Luckily for me, Alex was at the front desk to assist me. He got me all set up with my room, my luggage, parking my vehicle, breakfast in the morning, and was very knowledgeable in navigating the areas I in which I was interested in visiting later that day. My room was just right for a single traveler; cosy and comfortable. I slept almost immediately after hitting the bed. The following morning, I had a filling and delicious breakfast, trying some of the food of the region. There is an amazing view off the terrace which you can enjoy while eating either inside or out. After breakfast I took a little tour of the hotel, and really enjoyed the artistic decor both inside the hotel and in the exterior, as well as the lounging areas in the lobby. After a day of exploring downtown Bergen, I came back to the hotel to relax, have a drink and get ready for the rest of my adventure. That's where Simona came in. She was able to give me a brief review of life in Bergen, about drinking customs in Norway, and things of that nature. She also let me try the beer brewed especially for the hotel. On my next trip to Norway, which is hopefully sooner than later, I will definitely be staying here again.

New Cover. Old Hotel. The hotel has a new facade and a nice lobby. But the picture changes as soon as you enter the floor to the rooms. Holes in the carpet, holes in the wall, the floor is full of BIG scratches and the curtains are falling from the ceiling (take a look at my pictures). The staff is friendly but logically they can't change very much. We've had a look on different rooms but it was the same everywhere. --- In addition to the reply of the Hotel: We stayed at your hotel two weeks ago. Of course, the photos are absolutely up to date and they are showing your new, renovated rooms, but i suspect you know that yourself ;-)

Five stars well deserved! One of the best breakfast buffets I have seen so far - thank you for providing so many healthy foods and beverages. Also for people with lactose or gluten intolerance the hotel is a perfect fit as they offer many alternatives for people with intolerances. And the gym was awesome as well - the view is fantastic and all the equipment well taken care of. Definitively a great place for me and my husband to end our 3 months travelling through Oceania and Europe. Thanks a bunch!

Nice hotel with good facilities, but I am giving only the two stars because I was pretty frustrated at the fact that they hosted some sort of event/party that went on until 1am during the middle of the week (Wednesday). I was staying at the hotel for my job and ended up getting very little sleep prior to working the next day. I’m completely understanding of a bit of noise in public accommodation, especially on the weekend, but this was excessive.

Good hotel for groups... Breakfast should starts at 6,30. Yesterday, August 13rd, main road from Bergen was closed and there was no information about detours or alternatives to get to the hotel. Lots of tourists lost, even, Norwegian bus drivers.

The hotel rooms are bigger than Scandic but look aged, the lobby is fancy. The breakfast is alright but not many vegetarian options. The family room had no temperature control and the front desk staff were unaware of this. They offered me a small fan but i refused as i was traveling with a baby. They said all the rooms are like that, as i don't believe that a hotel of this size has rooms without temp control. They didn't offer me any other alternative like changing the room, so I had to live with it for two nights. The room was very hot when it was sunny. Car parking is free but very tight spaces. Special mention of the night shift front desk lady who is very kind and patient.

It's a good hotel with a good breakfast and a large rooms, good for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. You cam charge the car if you want, must have to pay 75NOK per night. A little far way from the city center. We enjoy a lot the hotel.👍👍

The hotel staff are really nice and helpful. The rooms are small and cosy. The biggest problem is the restaurant! We waited over 20 minutes just to get our orders and the steak i ordered was undercooked and when I asked to have it more cooked, the chef didnt want to as it was considered '?medium", it wasnt. Medium rare at best and the waiter wanted to show me "pictures" to make me understand. I know what medium steak is, I have worked in restaurants before. All in all, wouldve been a 5 if we didnt go to the restaurant

Beds very little. Very unconfortable pillow. At 9.30 sharp no more breakfast. If you turn off the light, no more charge during the night of the phone. Plus: coffee machine in the room. Very nice reception.

It's a ok hotel but... The sofa on the room had stains from previous guests. The bed felt like it's time to replace it. It was way to soft and was lacking support in the middle. The bathtub had a broken drain so it was not possible to fill it. The breakfast was very good and was the only bright side of my stay.

Rooms and beds are nice. Quiet area. Good breakfast. About 15 min walk from light rail and 35 minutes on it to town centre.

Horrible approach and complete lack of respect towards customers. I would definitely not recommend. It was a very stressful experience, which made this one of the worst hotels I’ve ever visited. The food was decent but the dining experience and service was unacceptable.
