DO NOT STAY HERE ON WEEKENDS!! There is a night club on the floor below the hotel (which is on levels 5 and 6) and they played incredibly loud music until 2:30am ... didn't sleep a wink until it stopped. On the other two days of our four day stay there was no noise at all and the hotel is otherwise ok and very central.

A shame, not recommended. At night you have a disco inside the room, and you don't notice, because there is a pub on the top floor own by the hotel. But you can,t anyone, because there isn,t anyone in the recepcion at this hour. They leave you some plugs in the room, what???? They should have sent us the code to do the self check in, because the reception is only open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., but they did not. The reception is inside a shopping center, it looks like a makeup stand of some brand. No one answered the phone that appears, and finally through a message on Facebook and 45 minutes on the street they answered us. Very bad experience.

Great funky rooms with plenty of space, except in the bathroom. Due to a big sink I had to sit on the toilet on an angle. When in the shower the water not only went over the shower floor, but a gap in the door meant the room's carpet also got wet. Weirdest thing was that reception was in a cafe like setting in the shopping centre. Great for the free coffees, but a little confusing to find, especially when the shopping centre is closed. Another nice touch was the umbrella in the room, given Bergen's notorious rainy weather.

Unprofessional reception, a mischarged fee not refunded after a week, no response to my email, no apologies One of the staff mischarged the accommodation fee although we had already paid it online. She explained the refund had been processed and was supposed to be paid by the next day but in fact it was not processed. I asked for a refund the next day but they didn't again. On the following day, they sent me a blunt email (without any apologies) to ask about my bank account. I replied with a few questions but no response. I have received no update nor refund after a week of the stay. I have to say I felt extremely uncomfortable. They are unprofessional and I can't recommend this hotel. [Updates] The hotel RECHARGED the accommodation fee instead of refunding. In other words, I was charged three times in total. Don't use this hotel or lose your money.

The location is great and the was room was comfortable. Although after one day when we came back it smelled like someone had been smoking in the room while we weren't there. But the most frustrating part was the smart locks with your phone. They send the login details for the smart lock door app via SMS to your phone number. but if your from a different country and don't have access to your number, you can't get the details to log in to the app to get your room key. So you have to contact support to send it to you in a different way. Then when you get that sorted out, the smart key in our situation opened external door, and hallway doors, but NOT your room door. So you have to get back on messenger or the phone to sort out the issue. It is just easier to walk the 5 minutes down the road the their different hotel and sort out an actual key card. But all this is a pain when you turn up at 1am.

Powerfully ugly decor and guest experience is not thought through. Examples: to get to room, you must go up one level, walk across the mall, go into an unfinished area, up a few floors in an elevator then through a door that automatically swings open at a somewhat unsafe rate. A nightclub plays music loudly until 2 am... I could feel the vibrations from the music. People are screaming drunkenly from the street outside. Meanwhile, inside there's no place to put anything. The soap and shampoo keeps slipping into the sink. I had to hang my cosmetic bag with my toothbrush from the door hinge as there are no counters (as if in a gesture of defeat, the hotel hangs the hairdryer bag from the outside knob of the bathroom door). The room is built with opaque glass between the bathroom and bedroom so light shines into the sleeping area when someone uses the bathroom. If you turn off the light, one of the electrical outlets turns off - any device recharging from that outlet fails to get electricity so expect a low battery in the morning. Last, we reserved two rooms the first night and had to move to one the second night- no problem there as this was our plan. However, the double for two people was smaller than our singles. No place to put luggage. Ladies, the bathroom was built for men- to sit on the toilet you must wedge yourself between the sink and the toilet paper dispenser. The experience was not all bad - the staff were very friendly and the hotel is centrally located. Just don't expect a great room.

The Room and location was good, but had trouble accessing it. The mobile key wasn't working for any of us (also for other guests who we met at the corridor). We had to go to another location to pick up physical keys, not pleasant at all having to do so at 23.00.

Cozy double room. During your entire stay you will not meet a single employee, so this hotel is ideal for people who avoid communication. Entrance to the hotel and to the room is only through mobile app so you don't have to worry about losing your keys. Recommend for a stay for a couple of nights.

As an American who travels to Europe 3-4 times a year, I want to get the most "bang for the buck" when it comes to accomodations, and this hotel did not disappoint. I could not have asked for a more modern and nicer hotel and room. It was INCREDIBLE!👍😁 The room was spacious and quite colorful. Everything was awesome from the room appearance down to the individual shampoos and conditioners in mini jars....a really classy touch and great attention to detail.👍 It was reasonably priced and conveniently located inside a mall where they have a few stores as well as a convenience store for snacks or soft drinks and a small coffee shop inside.🍮 I gave the hotel review only 4 stars when it came to service, not because of anything they did wrong (they didn't), but simply because of the inconvenience of not having any actual front desk personnel to help visitors in case of any issues. My case being that I had no internet connection so I couldn't download an app they require downloaded in order to confirm my stay and issue me a hotel key (card). I had to go their other hotel location just 3 minutes away in order to speak to someone to correct that issue. But that issue does not take away from anything else. This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Bergen within walking distance of restaurants and many tourists attractions.👍 I highly recommend this hotel if visiting Bergen, you won't be disappointed.❤

Beware of BEDBUGS! stayed one night and woke up with bites all over my arm. Pay a little more and avoid this place.

The only thing good about this hotel is the location and the rooms were clean(mostly). The bed was comfortable but creaked. The room was warm and I had to open the window to cool off as there is no air conditioning.(typical in Europe, so opening the window was fine.) The downside of this hotel was the lack of information and check in process. Please ensure you know which building you are staying in. There are 2 buildings with one being connected to the 360 xhibition shopping mall where I stayed. When I arrived there was a contact less check in with very little information except install this mobile app on your phone to check in and use your phone as your key. I could not download the app and stood outside, trying to figure out if there was a reception desk or someone to call. There are no numbers or any instruction if you are unable to install the app. Fortunately I asked a gentleman leaving the hotel area and he said there is a reception desk in a separate building nearby connected to a grocery store. He walked me to the building where I went in and was able to receive a physical key. The only instruction was to leave your key in your room when you leave. The wifi was free so I was able to connect with no code, and if you had ordered breakfast it would be served somewhere in the other building. The room was small, enough for one person and the bathroom was barely large enough to step inside. The toliet was wedged against the sink leaving little room to tidy up after and the shower had no door with water pouring onto the floor. It was a terrible design. I won't stay here again as there are other options nearby. I even tried to leave the hotel early in the morning and was unable to exit/have the automatic door open. After walking around, I went back to the door and found a button to open the door in a very out of the way spot. I should have looked at the details further of the hotel before booking but I booked thru a 3rd party. (The posted picture is the building where reception is located and the name of the street if you are stuck like me. I don't know if they are open late, but the entrance looked closed. Just go into the grocery store, turn right and try to open the door. The door windows have a black film so it appears as if the door is inaccessible.)

Not a great hotel if you want a decent sleep. The rooms were a good size, bed was a bit soft but not too bad to sleep in. The bathroom was quite smelly and was noticeable upon first arrival to room. Unfortunately the biggest disappointment was the nightclub the hotel for some reason has on its roof? The music starts at 9pm sharp on a Monday night and doesn’t cease until the early hours of the morning. You may as well be sleeping directly in the club. The music and bass is extremely loud there is no chance of a restful night. The patrons of the club are also far too loud and can be heard throughout the hotel. Certainly a curious business practice for a hotel to provide a club on top of it therefore guaranteeing none of its guests can sleep at night. For this reason alone I would absolutely not recommend this hotel. The staff at reception at totally unwilling to help. We complained to them that the clubbing music was far too loud and were told in response that they “would look into it”. They never did.

Quite nice hotel, really in the center. Clean, big room. Calm surroundings. There is a kettle to have a cup of tea at night, which is really nice. A room is a little bit uncomfortable as there is no furniture with drawers, so there is no place to put all your smaller items except those which you could hang. But if you stay 1-2 nights, it is ok. Another thing is the electronic key - it takes time to cope with it.

Great hotel. We picked up our card key round at the other Magic hotel which has a reception desk

This place has NO RECEPTION. If you can't do online checkin, you have to walk a distance to find the reception. Furthermore, they don't provide baggage storage service, so you need to find another place to store your bags until checkin time, which is not free.

We stopped for one night. The hotel is in the center of Bergen, a five minute walk from Bryggen. The reception desk was found very quickly. The staff is very friendly and polite. The room was very clean, comfortable and fresh. Excellent wi-fi. At the reception, you can drink for free hot tea, a very pleasant plus. The only drawback is the bar under the windows of the hotel, in which up to three o'clock in the morning the music plays very loudly. If you are not too tired to fall asleep under this noise, then you will not be able to fall asleep quite((( In general, we liked the hotel! Thank you)

Self check in with phone app. Instruction not very clear but you will figure it out. The entrance to hotel stay area is quite confusing. Its at the side of the alley. Apart from that, location is good. Room is alright.

Location was good and likewise for room, but bathroom design was a little impractical, like no shower screen and slanted mirror. The main complaint I have was on the luggage storage facility which I asked specifically and received assurance from the hotel during booking. However, it turned out to be a mere cupboard which can store up to 2 luggage only for the entire hotel - first come first serve! I had to be sent to another hotel 10mins away to storage my luggage eventually. Should have just book another hotel if I had known this earlier.

I really enjoyed my weekend in this hotel. It was very magical. The room was stylish and bed so comfortable. I still miss it at home... Hotel locates middle of the Bergen city centre so you can see all most important sightseeings walking. I got free small gifts from hotel every day during my visit: shampoo/conditioner, body wash, body cream and soap. Also ear plugs were served by hotel. I asked if I could get the kettle to my room and the staff arranged that. Checkin in and out was very easy. I have nothing bad to say. The small refginerator would had been nice plus.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Entrance is via electronic key card, which did not work for me. However the cleaner just let me in without requesting proof of reservation or anything, which seems slightly unsafe. Managed to get a physical key card but I had to walk over to another hotel because this one doesn't have a staffed reception. This was a bit of an inconvenience after travelling to get to the hotel. The hotel is incredibly warm which makes it difficult to sleep. There are two thermostats in the room, both are set to the coldest temps and the room is still too warm (above body temperature). I am supposed to be staying two nights but I think I will find another hotel for the second night because of the heat. The reception staff have good English but they are reluctant to help with issues and when I called for assistance with the heat they requested that I call when the next person starts their shift instead. Not a great start to my stay in Bergen, defiently avoid.

Central hotel, comfortable but difficult to find The decoration of the 70s-style rooms is questionable. Small but livable and clean rooms. The bed is small but you can sleep Convenient automatic check-in. Unfortunately in the room there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom drain. Since the staff was not present, it was not possible to report the problem

The good: cost, nice toiletries, located in the center of town next to public transportation, the room gets really dark at night (good curtains), phone works as key, decent bathroom mirror lighting. The bad: You will hear ALOT of the world around you, the room could have been cleaner, a lack of bathroom shelving for your toiletries, no closets or storage of any kind, a bit difficult to reach power outlets, and not many of them, bathroom had frosted windows seen from room, and the light switch for bathroom is in bathroom. A bit difficult to share key with partner. The decor is interesting, for better and for worse.

An elegant and wonderful place to stay. The rooms were clean, spacious and innovatively designed. I highly value hotelrooms that are made for quality sleep, and the rooms here were sleep friendly. I could set the temperature myself, the rooms were very quiet, even though they are right in the city center, and it was easy to make the room dark. All great sleep hygiene requirements :) The place does not serve breakfast, by the way, but there are plenty of great options just outside the door. Also, it's actually on top of a mall that closes at night, so if you arrive late, you have to ring the reception. This can be a bit confusing, but the number is on the front door and you get a key after you have checked in.

A really great hotel. Pros: The WiFi was fast and every room had a Chromecast. The modern aesthetic in the room was really cool. The rainwater shower head was lovely. It was a 2 minute walk to almost everything tourist related in Bergen! It is also right at the end of the Bergen Light Rail. Cons: Reception is hard to find, but once you know its in the center of the mall its no big deal. The rooms were cramped. The maid service came at odd hours we were not able to predict. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back.
