Comfortable, friendly service and excellent location. What more can I ask for? Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful, vintage yet modern hotel with cozy rooms, hot showers, stellar breakfast buffet, and best location next to the train station. Only letdown was the paper thin walls, where you can hear literally everything in every direction—street noise, “physical” neighbors, radios, snoring, showers, the works. Highly recommended unless you’re a light sleeper.

The room we had was on the 2nd floor so a bit busy with street noise. Still, we slept well in a comfortable bed with duvets. The room was small, but we spent most of our time exploring Bergen. The bath was tiny, too, but again I try not to dally there (except to take a hot shower). Morning breakfast (included) was great! A large spread got us fueled up for the day! Desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Being across from the train station made getting in and out of town easy. I'd stay here again. No question.

Very nice, friendly staff. Rooms were a bit dated but that's part of the charm of such an old hotel.

Very kind personnel. Clean rooms. And tasty breakfast. Good location, especially if you travel by train.

A great hotel by all stands. Has very nice aesthetics too. Food is good and the location is in the heart of the city.

Very close to the railway station and within walking distance from Torgallmenningen. Bybanen 3 min walk away for easy transport to the airport.

Stayed at Grand Terminus hotel for 2 nights. The room was decent enough, not too big, nor very small. The bath though was very constricted in space. Only downside, our room had no view. . Otherwise pleasant stay. The breakfast spread was good and we enjoyed it. Plus the service starts quite early on weekdays,  that was a huge plus as we had to start our tour at 7.25am. We still managed to grab a quick bite and have coffee before leaving for the tour. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant the first night. Enjoyed the fish soup and the mackerel dish. A special shoutout to Christopher, the humble guy at the reception for his customer centric attitude and courteous service with a smile. Answered every query of ours in detail with utmost patience and added info. Good job Christopher!

We stayed in this hotel for five nights. We had 3 rooms. Yes the staff is very nice and they do have a pretty good breakfast with Coffee. The problem we had was that this hotel is literally right across the street from the train station and all of the buses and taxis pick up the arriving train customers right in front of the hotel. It makes for a very busy and very noisy stay around the clock. it was pretty warm during our stay in Bergen, so we had to keep our windows open to cool off. We all had to sleep with air plugs due to the constant noise from the street.

Reception staff friendly, corridor to room like I would imagine like a prison see photo, metal doors with peep hole, bland grey carpet, room small only had 1 bedside table so I couldn't put drink by bed . Hairdryer kept cutting out. Did have safe and fridge mirrors okay. Breakfast good. Coff/tea available in room near reception (not in rooms). Bar staff friendly. Beds not made up during stay, but bathroom sorted

Good location, right next to the train station. There is a store center close by. We arrived late and had yet to have dinner. We then found a Burger King still open. What a relief!

Great location, rooms, service. However, staying over on a Saturday night waking up early on a Sunday, it wasn't ideal to have a number of parties going on so many floors. Change of the room only made the noise quieter as there were other parties going on. Apparently, Norwegian curfew isn't on until 2 am on weekends.

Great place to stay! Rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff were excellent, and the Bar Amundsen was fantastic for a drink & a bite to eat at the end of a busy day around town.

I wouldn't recomend this hotel at all. The price is too high for offering just good location. The room was extremely small. The bathroom was very narrow. I've been in walking closets biggers than that bathroom. The entire room was max 20 m2 for 2 people. Most of the hotel is old and needed of maintenance. The noise is constant, everything is pooly lighted, there's annoying high music ALL THE TIME from the speakers, even at night. They don't have AC so if it is warm outside, there's no way to get down the temperature inside the room, even opening the windows, what increase the noise notably. The positive : They have beautiful plants everywhere. The shower was nice and warm, although the soap that is also shampoo, is cheap and it shows. The people working there are extremely nice and kind.

The location and the room are very nice. The food is also very good. However the service is quite bad. We arrived at the reception with no information about the meeting we were attending. After we found the right room with no help from the reception, we found out that they had the whole program mapped out on the table in that room. It is strange how the hotel has that in the room but doesn't have any copy for the staff at the reception. Super confusing for the guests 😐

Visually stunning Hotel that was let down by a rude and inattentive staff member. We went to to the Bar/Restaurant for dinner and the tall male bar tender acted annoyed at our being there, he was eating constantly, hand to mouth and busy reading something. He curtly took our order paying no attention to us wanting our food to be served over two courses and did not ask if we wanted any drinks. All the food came out at once, against our requests and he really had no time for us as he served us even though the room was basically empty. Disappointing and poor service, not hospitable at all.

This hotel has seen better days and it's too bad because the historic "bones" are still evident. The place is gray and dingy with stained carpets and banged up furniture. Fresh paint in a brighter color and new carpets would help a lot. Compared to other Norwegian hotels, the breakfast is just okay and you can't get any espresso drink. Dismal, depressing.

I stayed here 5 nights for a conference. Great location in walking distance to rail/bus and the highlights of Bergen. Yet, out of the main center area where it might be more busy. Of the places I stayed on a 2 week trip this did have by far the best breakfast buffet. Exceptional food overall. Coffee is readily available. The whiskey bar downstairs is quite nice. Staff very friendly. Wi-Fi was faster than some we stayed at. Easy to recommend for anyone visiting Bergen.

Hotel is in an excellent location beside all the transport services. Hotel was reasonably comfortable. Rooms adequate. No kettle or tea service, but refreshment room with frees tea, coffee and water in the lobby. Plenty to eat at breakfast with a wide range of choice for every pallet. Lunch was similar. But, catering for hot food not adequate. Food was lukewarm and not hot as expected. The hotel was convenient to the city centre and most places was a walk away. Staff very friendly and helpful. If I was on business I'd stay there again because it is convenient. Excellent conference facilities. Would recommend the hotel on that alone.

Despite having the smallest bathroom I've ever been in and small bedroom, we really enjoyed our time here. It was close to train station (which was great for us as train was our main form of transport) and attractions. The staff we encountered were lovely and good fun, especially in the bar. The bar is a great spot and the meals served were really good. Breakfast staff were quiet, unobtrusive and efficient. All in all, for 3 star accommodation, it's pretty good.

Rooms were tiny, the bathroom even smaller. The bar was closed our entire trip & the hotel is very quiet. Not much personality. The man doing breakfast service was friendly & did a great job. Would most likely not stay here again as there are many options in Bergen

Beautiful old building, but not really living up to our expectations. Details in our room like a used face mask from the previous guests and empty soap dispenser in the shower isn't good enough. The superior room with double bed is really two single beds pushed together.

Grand Hotel Terminus is so conviniently located right next to the railway station but not disturbed by the noise. Only a 10 minute walk to the docks we really liked the location. Breakfast was superb, great selection keeping everyone happy too. The foyer, bar and dining room were all very beautiful and historic - unfortunately the rooms let this down quite significantly. Being extremely basic and not very pleasing on the eye was a disappointment. However it was comfortable and we slept well and the price (£100 a night roughly) results in 5/5*. They could easily charge more if the rooms were made to match the hotel. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend it to friends visitng Bergen. Staff were all very friendly and attentive.

Honored the booking I made in 2020 and had to cancel over Covid. Will always come here when I'm in Bergen.

Nice lounge. Otherwise worn and basic. Poor service and outmoded policies. Feels like it’s 20 years past its prime.

I attended a wedding and had a really good time! The staff was professional and had good control of who having the different foods and drinks. Effective and nice service. The hotel was clean and had clear signs of directions to the different buffet rooms. Wheelchair ramp in the lobby as well as elevators, and it allows dogs at the hotel.

Fantastic staff greeting us upon arrival. Smiling, joking and friendly. Room was ok, bed a bit hard for my taste, refrigerator in the room which is a must for me 😄 Over all really happy with my stay here.

Well located hotel with tiny rooms. Cross the street and you are at the train station Perfect for tourists doing the Norway in a nutshell excursion My room was uncomfortably small. No electric kettle. Toilet was children size. Your privates touch the surface when you sit. Very good breakfast. Good for one night

Looking for old-school charm in Bergen? Oak panelling that's not part of a "concept" but is actually real? A hotel in the continental grand touring style that's independently owned and has managed to keep both style and quirkiness intact throughout the years is yours at a reasonable price. Only place to stay in Bergen if you're serious about having a bit of style.

Nice old hotel next to the train station. Large parking garage at 10 minutes walk (take the covered walking bridge to the train station). Walking distance (15 minutes) to the shopping street, tourist information and Bryggen. Super friendly English speaking staff. Clean rooms.

Excellent breakfast. Clean rooms. Super convenient for the light rail ( Bybanen ). Only downside is that power points in the room are all tucked away and at floor level under the desk which is inconvenient for charging phone etc.

Very good location. A bit old hotel. But good to stay. If you get a room facing the open ground then it can be difficult to sleep due to late night party going on

So much expansive compared to the room (2,600nok for one night and a double bed), the room is small such as the bathroom. However it's really near the central station (just need to cross the road), and the staff was really nice (they prepared us a breakfast to take-away)

Very nice hotel, Good breakfast. Rooms were a bit outdated. Curtains were not dark so the room is bright at 7am. Not far from the center.

I enjoyed my stay here. All of the staff was super nice and very polite. I know the hotel is historic but so too are the beds. Breakfast is worth the stay alone
