Great hostel! Very clean and lots of space. Staff is very friendly and there's an overall great atmosphere in the hostel. The living room is a great area to just hang out and meet people, play music or play games. Close to the city centre and bus/train station. Had a great stay here!

Great little hostel with very few beds meaning that you interact with almost everyone who's staying. Attracts mostly budget travellers. The whole place is run by some volunteers who are great fun to hang out with. There are free waffles on Mondays and Thursdays and free tea and coffee everyday. There are activities planned for all the days by the hosts. Would recommend!

Amazing, the staff is super friendly and young, they come from the US so they speak english and have many stories to share since they come from the other side of the earth. I first thought 31 people in the same bed room would be terrible, but it turned out since the space is huge that you don't really hear a thing. I slept until 9 to 10 am somedays, without any sound waking me up. They make waffles for free twice a week, which is a good opportunity to meet the other travelers. A lot of solo travelers. The staff even went to hike with us on their free day. It was amazing, and according to my research you won't find any cheaper place to stay in Bergen.

Lovely hostel! Real community feeling, just what most people want from a hostel! Nice and clean, good operational kitchen and very friendly staff. Only bad thing, there are some rats wandering around in the garden. It's probably because of people leaving food in the garden.

Location: great! Less than 5 minutes' walk from train station. Atmosphere: pretty good. Lots of people coming and going. Good areas to socialize. Cleanliness: ehhh. It was raining both nights we were there so it was pretty muggy. Bathrooms weren't terribly clean and constantly smelt like poop. I don't think they wash the bed linen between guests. Facilities: pretty good. Nice, fully equipped kitchen. Free coffee and tea in the morning and evening. Biggest gripe: tons of lights left on all night in the hostel makes it hard to sleep.

Lovely staff and building with and old charm, and that’s about it. Disgusting showers, cleaner toilet, there’s no duvet so you use a blanket (not sure if washed every time), clean kitchen. Good for one night due to train station and city proximity.

Really really friendly staff. We showed up at a weird hour (6 am) and they were still able to accommodate us. They also have free Norwegian waffles Tuesdays and Thursdays. Breakfast is cheap, fresh, and delicious. There’s a piano and guitar to mess around with too. The one downside is the rooms: it’s a little old and run down, but I mean it’s clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are clean. For a building from the 1700s it has aged well. And it’s like a 5 minute walk into old town. Absolutely would stay here again.

I had a great time spending a day here it's soo nice and the staff is just so chill and friendly I felt at in lik the first half hour and it is absolutely fine to share a room with some other people(a room with 28 beds) because you are there basically just for sleeping. Also I really appreciate the fact that there are waffle nights ( the are delicious) and you can take as much tea and coffee as you like Also the kitchen is really clean and there is everything you need in there Another things that absolutely amazing is that there is a mountain right behind the hostel. All in all This hostel would be a reason for me to come back to Bergen Edit: We missed our train and it was totally ok to just spontaneous book another night so that's amazing

One of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed in. The Good: - Friendly staff - Great and multiple common areas where you can relax and watch TV, play cards or boardgames, play guitar and eat. - The let someone with a tent pitch it out in a small courtyard (if there are only 2-3 tents) and pay half rate, but still get all the amenities as a regular guest. - Close to everything and a walk to the docks, groceries and attractions is very easy and short. - Met many great friends and extended my stay 2 days just to hang out with them. - Free Laundry Machines!! 🤩 The Bad: Bathrooms were clean as were the showers but there wasn't a curtain to separate them from your clothes so steam and damp clothes were a possibility if you aren't careful. Showers need updating. Best place in Bergen and perhaps all of Norway for a hostel.

Fantastic hostel! Clean, very nice staff, big kitchen and common room which includes a piano, guitar and a cajon, great for some long sing-along nights. Cheaper than other hostels in town. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Made a reservation a month in advance, showed up to find it was overbooked and had to sleep on the couch in the common area (for which they knocked a whole 35 nok off that night's fee). Communication with the management on cancelling the rest of the trip was unclear and unsatisfactory.

Overbooked. Had to sleep at the couch in the living room with the house cat and another guest. Noticed empty beds which were not used the next day. Extreme lack of respect and organization, no wonder the manager told me they would be closing soon. RIP Intermission.

The people working there were all extremely nice and helpful! We played games (thanks to aby) with other people sleeping at the hostel and had an amazing time! They have activities prepared for each day and we went hiking with them and it was really nice. Overall, the staff is extremely nice and helpful and the hoset is cheap and not far from anything, theres a kitchen with everything you may need to cook and it is very clean. I recommand it to anyone and if i go back go bergen i definatly will go to this hostel!

Well it's cheap, laundry is free and breakfast is cheap also. Hostel is located close to the city center. Anything else was just horrible. Instedad of a real bathroom you have toilets with mirror and tiny sink just next to the toilet, no place to hang you towel. It's cold all the time. Wifi keeps disconnecting every 10 minutes. Toilets are often dirty. Showers not always have hot water supply. Noisy unproffesional staff, have no idea neither about the city neither about equipment in the hostel. 30 bed dorm is the only accomodation option. Stuff is just a bunch of christian volunteers who even if trying to be nice, never recived proper training. One of my worst hostel experiences.

Great hostel with a really good atmosphere and friendly staff. The dorm is good and the beds are comfortable. Likewise the showers are excellent and the kitchen facilities were very good. The common room was an excellent place to hang out in and spend time playing guitar, chess or watch netflix with the staff. Overall this was a fantastic place to stay and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Bergen.

👍 The rooms are very basic but the whole hostel experience was quite nice. We had a bunk bed, private room for 2. And the next time, double bed. The hostel is well taken care of. 🫤 Great location, and at least in the two rooms we stayed in the beds are very comfortable. However this is the LOUDEST property I have ever stayed in. You can hear everything going on. Not helped by house keeping kicking off at 8am on a Sunday. One of the house rules in no noise after 11pm- but this...
