A small, simple campsite that has everything you need, especially the bus stop right on site. We received a very quick response to our email inquiry and the reception was very nice. Particularly noteworthy is the friendliness and helpfulness of the young man at reception. We were given a detailed explanation of the connection to Bergen and pointed out the 24 hour ticket, a great tip. Thank you very much, hospitality is very important here.

Small campsite located on the outskirts of Bergen, about 14 km from the center. Bus stop opposite. View and panorama beautiful. Sanitary facilities older but clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Reservation is recommended.

We had booked for three days, but due to the persistent rain we decided to arrive a night earlier and were resigned to having paid for one night "for free". Then came a surprise, we were completely reimbursed for one night - thank you very much for that! Otherwise we felt comfortable on the pitch, it's certainly not a five star campsite, but we were given a very friendly welcome and, upon request, were given a nice place right by the lake. Particularly noteworthy is the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities and the free use of these and the washing machines. We will definitely be back.

Small campsite right on a small lake. Ideal starting point for visits to Bergen. By bike about 18km to Bergen Brygge. Even if some of the road crossings take some getting used to, the bike route is easy to ride, even with kids. There is also a bus stop on site. Here the bus runs every hour directly to the center with a one-time change. The whole thing comfortably and with little money. And...the bus goes back the same way until 10 p.m. The place itself is a gravel place, so the awning stays inside. Sanitary facilities are ok... unfortunately visitors sometimes cause uncleanliness here. Washing machine and dryer can be used free of charge. Good condition. Two young people looked after the place. Always approachable and friendly.

Very friendly and nice staff, always working on cleaning and keeping the place tidy. We didn't stay in the rooms, but in our camper. There is some traffic noise from the road during the day, and the parking area for campers fills up quite quickly. Electric hookups are there but maybe not enough for all the people staying there. Easy to get into Bergen using the bus "90" into Nesttun and then catching the Bybanen. Download the Skyss App so you can buy a ticket that gets you to the city center. Bus station is very close to the camping grounds.

Litte camping, directly on the water. The place for the tents was a bit muddy, but was okay. The facilities are clean and big, there are even washing mashine and a tumbler available and included. Bus in direction to Bergen is stopping quite near. Unfortunately the street is also located quite near, so bring some earplugs when you're sensitive 😉

Small campsite right on the lake. Nice operator, sanitary facilities super clean. Showering and washing are free. Bergen can be reached easily and quickly by bus and train. We'd love to come back.

Poor quality hut with lots of damage, window in the bedroom wouldn’t close (and our loud neighbours sure made themselves heard), only 1 of 2 cooking plates worked, the cooking pot and pan were dirty and greasy, the bathroom sink looks like it’s about to fall of the wall, no eating table even though one was visible on the pictures (which were taken like over 10 years ago when everything was new, and it seems like it hasn’t been maintained since then) I would be able to see through most of this if it were cheap, but that’s the pinnacle of this all, the hut for 1 night came at around 1160 NOK.

Great little cabin dog friendly and has a bathroom. The washing services were really needed after a week on the road.

In itself a decent, somewhat outdated place. The sanitary facilities are okay, but could be a little cleaner. Reservation in advance is not possible. The pitches are located at a slight angle on the meadow. Washing machine and dryer can be used free of charge. We paid 420 crowns for two people and a car. Average in the area. The staff is friendly. In summary, the space for one or two next is fine. Longer stays should be made elsewhere.

Sehr schön gelegener Campingplatz, direkt an einem See. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett und versucht immer eine Lösung zu finden. Es ist etwas lauter, da direkt eine Straße am Campingplatz vorbeiführt aber es gibt schlimmeres.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! Facilities are clean and you can even use the washing machine for free. It takes 40 min to get to Bergen, the bus stop is right in front of the campsite. Ideal stay when you want to visit the city!

The host ( Camilla?) was so friendly and helpful. She made the stay so much better. The bathrooms are old, cold but clean and they work. Showers are included in the price. The location is ok, it's very loud because of the major road just outside of the camping ground. I think the owner should invest in fences to reduce the noise. Huge bonus, washing machine and dryer was included in the price. But the dryer in the men's room was broken and in the kitchen there was only lukewarm water to be had for doing the dishes. As for price, it's of course overpriced big time. That's what you get if you want to visit Bergen. To be fair, all the camping grounds around Bergen are pretty rubbish and overpriced. But at least this camping ground comes without hidden costs for showering, good wifi, washing and drying your clothes.

The location and the setup of this place is amazing....and so the service and the friendliness of the staff. One thing I would recommend is to have different chargers for other types of electric cars, like Tesla.

Simple campsite near Bergen. Simply take the bus and tram to the center. Unfortunately for us the fresh water hose wasn't working and the water in the kitchen was cold. Sanitary facilities are old, but functional.

We had a room with bathroom and kitchen. Very nice, modern, clean. The view (lake and mountain) is wonderful! Some noizy from the traffic.

A super responsive team! I sent them an e-mail and asked them a few questions, and I received an answer within less than an hour, within a matter of minutes everything was set. Super accommodating and helpful! :)

Super Nice camping, very welcoming and patient. Everyone is there to help you and try to find solutions if you have a problem. Nice basic sanitary with a washer and dryer! Great price for what you are getting. We were there for one night and really enjoyed our stay. Even got to rent a canoe for a couple of hours for a very reasonable price. Don’t really understand the bad reviews, would definetely recommend!!! Thankyou staff at Grimen!

We were really tired when we arrived, but the people working there were so sweet and really made us feel welcomed. The free showers were way better than expected and canoe rides were fun, but nothing can beat the view. The mountain in front of the camping is like a canvas, which fit perfectly, because we travelled just to experience norwegian nature. We even took the canoe there and went exploring.

Disappointing. Garbage and dirty sheets/towels were in the room when we arrived. Kitchen equipment is insufficient. Good location, close to Bergen centrum. Lake view is really nice.

Nice stay, everything (shower, washing, elektra) for 250 for a tent. Small improvements that the camping can make: 1. In the showers put more things to hang or put your stuff on. It took me forever to put all my stuff in the right order to hang from 1 hook. This will improve the waiting time there. 2. See if its possible to put a wooden fence next to the road with some greenery on it. This will make the sound of the road go away and make it an even more idillic place! 3. A bin closer to the camping area. 4. Organise the fences around the people who stay longer better, instead of a rope put some flowers around them! Good luck

It is good for one night. You can find there everything you need - shower, kithen, washing machine. Place is a little bit neglected. Price is fair for that standard comparing to the neighbourhood.

We stayed in a cabin Nr.8 for two days and we had a perfect stay. In the cabin we found some cooking utensils and the warm water was very hot. I had also contact with the team via email and they answered swiftly and were very helpful. However, during our stay we saw nobody at the reception...

Tops: - The receptionist was very friendly - There is a washing machine and dryer that you can use for free. - The toilets en showers where clean and nice. Lows: - very small place for tents, if you have a bigger tent it is very hard to put it in a comfortable way. - There was this woman that has her caravan there all year around that comes and complains about everything you do. We came when the weather was really bad, and had to put up the tent. The receptionist had told us to take the car to the tent place while putting up the tent. After that we should bring the car back to the parking. When we where putting up our tent in this crazy rain she came and screamed at us that we are not allowed to park there. This kept on going on. It was a very unpleasant experience. - The toilets are very far from the tent place.

very beatiful campside. it's tidy and has a nice view and in the community room ypu can charge your devices for free. there is also a small kitchen, where you can wash your dishes and refill your water bottles. the staff was always frendly. the campside is awaylable by bus and then only a minute by feet, so it is easy accessable from bergen.

Free WiFi but no tent area coverage. Basically only reception is covered. Connection didnt work properly. 140 NOK for tent with motorcycle isnt cheap. Showers for 10 NOK/6min. Toilets clean but dark. Only 2 showers. Kitchen area exists.

Loved this place!! The staff was so kind and the canoe rides I took were very relaxing. It was much easier to get to the city center than I imagined!

Great little camping ! Only problem is that the bus pass only once an hour. Also showers could be included, and provide more than one hook to put the clothes on. But great experience with great staff.

Absolutely disgusting! We paid for a bungalow for 4 people with bathroom. There was an intense smell of puke all over inside the bungalow, it was really disgusting and it didn't disappear until the end. Also, in the couch we slept, we found several semen stains (we took with a sense of humour, suggesting we should take the morning-after pill) and a big stain of mucus on a pillow. In short, cleanliness was AWFUL. TO AVOID 100%.
