One of the highlights of our trip! We were in Bergen during December and it was a nice tram ride up the mountain to the top of the look out point. Once you reach the top you're hit with a beautiful view of Bergen. We then went in further to do a nice walk around the forest. There were different stops of the Forrest for you to take photos. There was also a gorgeous lake nestled in the center of it all as you walk in further. We did a small walking track because it was starting to rain but we will definitely come back to Bergen during spring or summer one day 😊

What a nice hike adorned by locals - both human and canine. If you're a cruise ship tourist, skip the funicular and hike those pounds off by going up 3.9 km to the top and be rewarded with a nice view, and hopefully a smaller waistline.

Excellent for an easy hike and some great views. Plenty of wooded area to keep cooler in the sun (if you're lucky). Popular, but relatively quiet once you get away from the funicular station.

Beautiful area with many hiking options for all kinds of hikers. Some trails are very developed and others are just tracks, and the terrain is varied as well. As visitors, it was helpful to read ahead of time some of the suggested hikes listed in the Fløyen website.

Take the funicular railway up and walk down. We were in Bergen in December. It was raining rather than snowing. We.took the funicular railway up Mr Floyben to discover that it was snowing on the mountain, which was DELIGHTFUL. There were good walks up there, cafes and restaurants. And the view of Bergen and the Fjord was wonderful.

Great place to start hikes - lots of different options and distances you can go, well signposted and a playground for kids as well as a couple of restaurants.

Good place for a lazy walkers. It can be reached using funiculere, so it makes this place must visit for each tourist who wants to have photos of the city from the mountain.

🫤 Get ready to get nickel and dimed at this campsite behind a highway gas station where 4 minutes of shower time cost you money (as does the laundry and dryer) and the facilities you pay for aren’t clean (see picture from the shower). Compared to other campsites, I found this to be an awful experience...

👍👍 My favourite trail among the nearby ones I tried, Ulriken and Trolltunga. Nice steepness gets you feeling your gluteus maximus contract. What makes it more appealing to me than those other trails is the walk path varies between soil, tree roots, and stone steps. Plenty of pretty views while looking...

👍👍 Very nice hiking area, with beautiful nature, but also people did nice work about arranging the waking paths, resting areas and huts. Definitely recommended to visit. Also available parking space, which is not always available around hiking areas.
