Highly recommended! A must go hike if you are in Bergen. DO NOT miss it. You can either take the cable car or hike. But a hike is always better. + Spectacular views of the Bergen city from the top and along the way. + The hike is really nice and not that hard. No highly steep areas. But the whole hike is uphill + You go in the forest along with a river. - Bring your food and everything. You need to be careful in some places during the hike, especially in the winter, it can be slippery.

A large part of the way back into the valley to the harbor has been completed. Now the serpentines with paths and stairs begin.

Honestly I don't know which ride up the mountain in better, in the snow it's hard to walk up so we trammed it at night.. very different view of the city 👌

Exceptional views and hikes, accessible from the city. Can walk there (really steep, about an hour) or can take the cable all the way to the top for ~$15 per person round trip.

Funicular to Fløyen. Everything is automated. Card machines multilingual. At the top there is a huge excursion area with toilets, snack bar, shop and playgrounds. Magnificent view of Bergen. Alternatively also accessible on foot.

My recommendation is to first hike up and enjoy the great view over (7) mountains and then drive down and have a good meal in one of the small restaurants. (The so-called fish market can be ignored)

Go early- before the cruise ships show up. I went 15 minutes after they opened on a Sunday and there was no line. I walked to the lake and literally had it to myself- so peaceful and quiet. On the walk back the cruise ship groups showed up, clogging the trails and being more interested in their phones than the beautiful landscape around them. I walked the trail back down to the city- it is a solid 40 minutes. Not particularly difficult as it's packed down gravel, railings, and not many steep spots. It is a long walk however and the slope wears out your calves.

Very convenient trail. Suitable even for strollers. In winter there’s a lot of ice so can be slippery, be careful❗️

Very pretty, there was a space to sit that had a fire pit, it would be really cool if it was lit. In winter it is very cold to stay there We went up and down by funicular

If you want to feel Norvegian nature it's your "must see" place.

Best cultivated nature experience I've had in years. Sun was just setting over the fjord close to 22:00 (10pm) at the end of May. Trail was incredibly easy as long as rise in elevation isn't a problem for you.

🫤 Get ready to get nickel and dimed at this campsite behind a highway gas station where 4 minutes of shower time cost you money (as does the laundry and dryer) and the facilities you pay for aren’t clean (see picture from the shower). Compared to other campsites, I found this to be an awful experience...

👍👍 My favourite trail among the nearby ones I tried, Ulriken and Trolltunga. Nice steepness gets you feeling your gluteus maximus contract. What makes it more appealing to me than those other trails is the walk path varies between soil, tree roots, and stone steps. Plenty of pretty views while looking...

👍👍 Very nice hiking area, with beautiful nature, but also people did nice work about arranging the waking paths, resting areas and huts. Definitely recommended to visit. Also available parking space, which is not always available around hiking areas.
