Our craving for home style Indian food brought us to this place , it was also at a walking distance from our hotel. The restaurant has formal ambiance , it’s kind of hidden in the basement, had to look around to locate it . We ordered onion pakoras , it was so bad , undercooked and oily , their Daal was ok , garlic naan were so thick and they didn’t cut them in half , worst was the masala paneer , it was spoilt , we complained about it but they said that it was alright , we started eating it again but it was indeed spoilt or stale , the server said he can take it back , we put all that we had in our plates back into the dish , later on when we paid , they had charged us for that spoilt paneer too . We being the vegetarians, eat Paneer almost everyday and can very well distinguish between good and bad food. We could’ve asked them right then , but decided not to argue with them when they aren’t ready to accept . I hope the owner notices this feedback and pays attention to his kitchen , disappointing experience.

Meal itself was below average, I was really disappointed to be honest. I wanted to finish the dinner on a higher note, so asked for some desert. I was happily surprised to see my favourite desert gajar ka halwa on the menu. How ever, they had for sure forgotten the most important ingredient cardamom from this recipy! No taste or smell, pretty easy to spot. When I complained, they first denied it, then when I insisted, I was told it's the way they make it and the cardamom is added to the syrup during the preparation process and nothing could be done to fix it! Ummm...yeah, no. The cardamom is simmered in the milk during the preparation. I'm not sure where the syrup comes in, but the family recipe uses raw cane sugar 😉 Please check your recipe to ensure you use proper traditional Northern Indian ingredients and not just add cardamom oil in syrup (or rather forget it)

This place gives you good food only on Friday and weekends.If you go any other day the food taste bad and old.Naan was really thick and old .Most of the foreigners like it here because they actually do not understand the actual taste of indian food and this restaurant takes it for granted.

Though the food was tasty, the portions are toooo small. I do not understand why. you pay full price but get a quarter portion! Indian food is served with rice, they brought us only 2 spoons of rice :))) that was so wierd.

The chicken tandoori vindaloo and Tandoori Lamb Tikka Madras which were really well spiced (very hot as I like it). The naan was delicious this time soft and a bit crispy and the rice was very good. (Well at least it was cooked) The naan was definitely not fresh and had a stale taste. Even the rice lacked any taste. But the highlight was the served salad. In my mind the waiter had the following conversation with the Chefe: "Hey we need some salad for the menu." "I found some dry salad between the sink and the hob." "That should fit." Don't go there. Just don't.

The kitchen is open to the restaurant and you can see the chefs preparing your meal. Came here on a Friday evening at about 8pm. I came back again the next day at 9pm and had a similarly good experience. It appears that the kitchen closes at 9:30pm so plan to arrive by 9:00pm. Plenty of seating and not too noisy (good ambiance). Prices are reasonable, too. I never thought I'd find such good Indian food in Norway but this is a hidden gem.

Hi Team I always visit Arti. I feel they serve delicious Indian food with good presentation and ambience. But from last few time experiences are not the same. I am very disappointed. We had half cooked Naan, mutton was not cooked properly. We conveyed and nobody even bothered to take our suggestion into consideration. We feel behaviour was not good. We were not asking for refund but atleast a simple reply, could have been a right thing .
