The Crying Boy (Grinegutten) is the best known of Sofus Madsen's three famous children's sculptures. It was made after The Fountain Boy (Fontenegutten, 1920) and The Spray Boy (Sprøytegutten, 1927), as a response to Vigeland's Mad Boy (Sinnataggen). The Weeping Boy and the Spraying Boy were purchased by Jacob Neumann - in memory of his son who died young - and then donated them to the city of Bergen for a public exhibition.

Place with nice view in bergen sentrum. Artificial water body with a fountain and many birds. Good place for sun bath during sunny days.

Though it's a local tourist spot, personally I find it a bit boring so I'm biased. It's not turned on all the time but it is during the summer times and tourist season.

Beautiful park with (artificial?) lake. Fountain seems very beautiful when sun is coming out in morning.

You can enjoy a wonderful lake-side walk here, and can enjoy the view of beautiful Fløyen.

This octagonal lake in the center of Bergen city. There is a large decorative fountain located in the central part of the lake with swans.
