Even though it is always crowded and booked, this is one of those places where we are ready to sit outside even in cold weather:-) plus they have a heater outside so it is nice. Gorgeous looking brunch sandwiches to die for. Definitely our favourite brunch place. Also, very good proper coffee. I know Norwegians like filter coffee but here they serve the real one. On top of it all, pleasent staff, home made bread, nice cakes, and I just love those beautiful designed cups. They think of the whole brand here, and the customer.

Fantastic food, quality and quantity. Service was superb (Vincent was truly amazing). Ambiance is casual and lovely with the music fitting the venue. We will be back!

The place, yes, it’s the proper name. What an atmosphere, service, tasting menu, lovely people and music. A concept without fears, a divert coffee please with attitude and passion for what they do. I think that they have planned every single detail. Thanks for the time, and I recommend 100% if you are looking for different, tasteful and generous portions. Sorry, I don’t have more pictures; I was surprised and excited to try everything I forgot to document.

Had a loverly lunch at this cafe. Delightful and helpful staff. My wife and I had croque monsour. We have eaten this meal around france but never as good. Highly recommended

The concept is created by the founding family of Lie Nielsen bageri and has a unique inner city chic feeling to it. Ambiance : High ceiling and plentiful of natural light. Chic interior design and an open kitchen. Full rights. Food & Beverage : Plassen offers a wide range of traditional Norweigan menu options together with international alternatives. Some of the dishes are unique for the area and must be tried! It serves both as a cafe and restaurant. Don't forget to order the amazing lemonade which is second to none. Staff : Very friendly and helpful. The ambiance and staff creates a very welcoming feeling. Guest characteristics : Bergeners (the locals), hipsters and weekenders a like.

Excellent lunch at Plassen where we enjoyed both a tasty soup and a refreshing toast. They actually propose smart formula where you can combine smaller soup and half a toast or two half toasts of your choice. Very friendly and professional service.

Such a nice little cafe. It was by reservation only but because I was alone, they kindly allowed me a place at the opposite end of a long table that had only two guests at the other end. This cafe was exactly what I was looking for on a quick visit during a layover, before flying on to Oslo and then Kirkenes, where I would be boarding Hurtigruten's MS Vesterålen in a couple days.

We stumbled upon this place the first time over Easter… we were so pleasantly surprised by the quality of food! It’s mostly locals and such a nice vibe. Now I hunted down on vacation with family and even my children were satisfied 👏🏻 the energy was the same, just happy relaxed and real. Highly recommend! (And friends say I’m quite picky ;) )

Small restaurant in the centre of Bergen. Small menu, mostly sandwiches, but they are nice. Price vs quality is good.

One of the best place of Bergen ! Waiters are amazing and very friendly. They even corrected a word in the menu as I ask them haha. I strongly recommend this place for every type of occasion, they will take care of you very properly. Thank you very much Vincent

There are two things that stand out about Plassen: the food, and the vibe. The chefs there come up with some really creative menu rotations. I've had four different dishes at Plassen, and they were each an excellent demonstration of contrasting flavors and textures. They also have house lemonades with flavors that change regularly, and they're delicious! Definitely order one. The vibe is great. The staff all seem really happy working there. I haven't been to many places with as good a vibe among the staff.

Worth a visit!! If the central location, good atmosphere and pleasant employees isn't enticing enough, the quality of their food will change your mind! Most (if not all) the food is made in house, from kimchi, lemonade for their drinker, to fantastic no-knead bread and waffle batter. I ate the chicken which was amazing, and saw the "skagenrøre" sandwich on the neighbouring table that looked delicious! In other words.. 10/10 would smash again🤤
