I have been looking for a hair salon since moving to NYC and am so happy I found Thomas Taft! I chose to come to the SoHo location since I live downtown, but there are a total of 3 Manhattan locations. My entire service was pleasant and professional. My hair artist was Jean and she was great! During our consultation, we discussed my hair type and what I was looking to do. I asked for her opinion on how she’d recommend cutting it and she said that based on my natural hair, she would recommend a bit of layering at the bottom, which would help the way my hair falls. I agreed and was very happy with the final look! I also felt that the price was reasonable given Jean’s experience and expertise.

I have LOVED my experience at Thomas Taft Soho! I met Uros at the UES location and followed him to Soho when he relocated. He is always willing to offer suggestions on how to elevate what I am looking for and make sure I feel confident in my look. His attention to detail is so strong and he makes the salon environment warm and inviting. I’ve have a great time in the chair chatting with the welcoming staff. I always leave feeling so great and would absolutely recommend getting your color and layers done here!

Uros is my favorite hair stylist in NYC! He is a true professional and also a great person in general - I’m just upset I didn’t find him sooner. The salon is very nice, clean, and all around great vibes every time I go there. If you’re still reading this - don’t waste you’re time (and money) on another salon in NYC - book an appointment with Uros asap - you won’t regret it.

Uros has been my hair person for several years. I love his personality and he is so talented. He is actually the only person who colors and cuts my hair. He also keeps up with the new and upcoming hair treatment options and will recommend them as appropriate- nothing unnecessary. Go see him- if you’re looking for a sign this is it. Pro tip- book your next appointment before you leave. He’s very popular!

This salon is conveniently located next to a number of subway stops. The salon itself is cute, quaint, and welcoming! Since moving to nyc in March, I have finally found my hair guru Uros. From the first visit, I told him it was the best experience I’ve had in NYC. Not only do I leave with an amazing cut, but with laughs and a positive experience, as well.I’ve gotten so many compliments from strangers about my hair and I know that my hair is in good hands whenever I’m in need of a cut!
