Great details of 1776 to 1783 revolutionary war era. Videos and displays were informative. Excellent tour of private residence used by General Washington for 6 months during the harshest winter on record. Requires climbing narrow stairs for full tour.

Great tour and so informative. Knowledgeable tour guide really helped transport us back to a different age. All questions were answered thoroughly. Great photos as well!

Nice place to walk around and visit and it's close enough to civilization if you want to go get overpriced coffee

Its small museum but the collection is pretty good. All three generations of our family enjoyed the visit.

This piece of history is often memorized in the east coast, and rarely mentioned in the middle and west region.

Amazing time on such a cute tour through the old home George stayed at plus the museum.

An important piece of history that all in the area should visit - and those not from the area should come visit. Their new Discovery Center provides a variety of hands-on opportunities for the kids. Their Ranger staff are pleasant and helpful.

Amazing, history live and in your face. See where Washington and his Wife stayed. See how the slaves slept. Unbelievable

Morristown's claim to fame is bearing witness to that brutal winter that then-general (and future President) George Washington and his troops endured while fighting the British during the Revolutionary War. This historical park comprises the various sites that they occupied during those cold and miserable months and is, interestingly, the first ever designated historical park in the country. If you're planning a visit, I'd recommend the Washington Headquarters Museum as a first stop.

Staring a the shoes Martha Washington owned and wore... mind blown! It's almost as if you can feel the electricity in the air from our founding fathers bravery.

Visiting George Washington's home and seeing actual relics from that time with the tour guide explaining how things worked back then transported me back in time. Spent about an hour here in the tour of the home

Great place to visit. They offer a tour which I believer only takes 20 at a time. Its free which is even better. There is quite a bit to see and well worth a trip. The town is maybe 10 mins away so its best to drive enjoy the history then go back into town.

👍👍 Place of significant historical importance right in Morristown. The free tour was great and provided a great overview of the life and times of people of that generation
