My brother and I took my mother out for her birthday earlier tonight. Our server was extremely inattentive. The bathroom lady was more attentive than her. And the food was priced 10x more than it was worth, also took over 25 minutes to arrive. Both the appetizer and the food. My lobster dumplings were disgusting. And so was the lobster meal my mother had, and the sweet potato wedges were also bad. The guacamole was bland. And that lobster tasted like it was about to spoil. But my sweet, sweet mother ate it because she had waited so long, she didn’t want to leave without eating anything. Our server had an attitude problem. When we told her that we didn’t like the food she immediately asked why with an attitude and didn’t ask if we wanted anything instead, or bothered to apologize. Neither did the manager, he was also rude. She also didn’t sing happy birthday to my mother, and we were hearing birthday songs all through the night. Must have been at least 5 other birthdays going on that night. Even as we were walking out they sang happy birthday to someone. But WE didn’t get a song for some reason. The manager when he came over simply asked what was wrong with the food and then proceeded to tell me that the lobster dumplings were one of the most popular dishes at the restaurant like it was going to make me want to finish it. I left there disgusted and needless to say didn’t leave our incompetent rude waitress a tip. My mother, brother and I ALL THREE ARE WAITERS. For me especially, bad service is a huge pet peeve. We know what it’s like both to give and receive good service. Will never recommend this place to anyone as long as i live. I tipped the valet guy though, he was running across the street with each car he had to go get, he was great. The hosts and the bathroom lady were also great with us Edit: Here’s your information- In the future if you truly want to rectify your mistake for hiring these cooks and staff, or at least if you want to lead me to believe that that’s your goal, you can maybe use my first name and/or repeat a couple of examples of what i described. I do not remember any of the employees names. I was fuming for the last 30 minutes of our visit. If you want more information you can re-read my review as i didn’t miss or exaggerate anything.

Tonight was a night out with the girls so I was looking forward to going to this establishment. When I arrived I decided not to do valet parking and found parking near-by. When I walked in the ambiance was gorgeous inside and out. The hostess told me where to sit and it went downhill from there. The waiter Chris seemed so discombobulated and flustered. A lot of things he did just didn't make sense for example him taking orders was a weird process and unorganized. I ordered a champagne drink, the most expensive drink ever lol of $39, and there was a process he had to do to make it and it spilled all over. One of the ladies that was in my party ordered the goat cheese and spinach empanadas and she tasted there was different cheeses in there which she couldn't eat. Chris said he will bring over the manager Manny and boy was he rude. He made it seem like it was her fault even though it wasn't listed on the menu. I also ordered sweet potato wedges and the girls ordered different things. When the food came out it looked good but the taste was not so good. Only one girl really liked her meal. For the expense of everything you would of thunk the food would of been great. Not so much and the service was not good either, but I will give it to Chris he at least tried. Will I be back, No.

This is a great restaurant to go out on a fancy date or for a special occasion! I do have to warn you though, they are a bit pricey. However, the quality and quantity of the food was good. Pictured here is the rainbow sushi, roasted chicken, Seabass, and octopus skewers. All of this +4 drinks was about $250. By the way, they include tip in the bill.

Had a really great birthday celebration for someone here. The ambiance is on point. The entire restaurant is designed quite beautifully. The chef definitely did his thing. The food was delectable and plated beautifully. We received premium service from the waiter and manager. Can't wait to revisit this restaurant. The one and only annoyance I had was in the restroom. You can barely wash your hands because there are a thousand people taking multiple selfies...but I don't blame them....definitely multiple photo opportunities because everything is gorgeous from the moment you walk in.

Celebrated my BF mother's bday. Lovely restaurant. Made dinner reservations and was seated on time. Waiter sage was awesome. He really made our night perfect. Clothesline bacon was heavenly. Great for date night, girls night or any celebration really.

Staff at the front are very attractive. very nice decor. However, the portions are extremely small with a rack of ribs equaling 3 ribs. Pretty overpriced. Only recommend coming here if someone else is paying for you

I recently dined at Ventanas, and it was a fantastic experience, especially for a date night. The restaurant’s ambiance is truly beautiful and sets the mood perfectly. We started with a variety of appetizers, including the salmon rice cakes, yellowtail, salmon & tuna tartare, bacon and the shrimp ceviche. Each dish was delicious, but my personal favorite had to be the salmon rice cakes. For the main course, we savored the lobster with corn, the porterhouse special, and the short ribs. The lobster and short ribs were nothing short of amazing, bursting with flavor. The porterhouse was good, though not quite on the same level as the other dishes. Overall, Ventanas made for a memorable dining experience, and I would highly recommend it for a special night out. The food quality and ambiance make it a top choice for a romantic dinner.

Gorgeous restaurant conveniently located in Fort lee. I can definitely see this being rented out for a party. We came get on Sunday for a late lunch and there was a decent amount of space available for walk ins. Our server was phenomenal and had a good time with us. The food was great, and presentation was on point. Only lost a star because $27 for cocktails seems like robbery.

Wow it was an amazing experience and my birthday surprise at this gorgous restaurant. The detailed decor is absolutely gorgeous; bar is hip; and ambience is lively . We ordered the lobster rolls guacamole and a bunch of entrees; super super delicious. The sushi was excellent. Our lychee martinis were aesthetic. The chocolate in tin box desserts was divine and a unique 🍨

I was google something nice restaurant in New Jersey but very disappointed the service. The waiters is good but all the host or manager(wearing suits) I don’t know what are they doing walking around no social distances, standing hangout at bar talking very loud no class. And coughing no mask. Scary and rude.

First time here for my 52nd BD dinner. Had an amazing experience. Great & fun atmosphere with mixed young & older crowd. Love the nice lounge music there and most of all foods presentation & full of flavors. Highly recommend !!! Thank you

Excellent customer service and the food is five stars.. went there for my birthday and I had and amazing night good job to all of the staff members. Very clean very organized I have no complaints at all and trust me I always do but this restaurant is excellent

Restaurant was SIMPLY AMAZING!! Good, Decor & Service was Superb! I didn’t care for my Tequila Flight or the fact that the waiter threw away 2 of our dishes that we clearly told him several times was TO GO!! A “Manager” then comes over and states that they are going to replace our food with a smaller portion of what we ordered. However he forgot to mention that the quality of food would not be the same. Food was disgusting; I tasted it immediately once it was received and I could tell the difference. We spent $740 and received subpar service. TO GO should be the bare minimum that is understood when working in the food industry.

food is definitely good but just watch out for the price, they are on the higher end. also don’t get surprised when they ask you for still or sparkling water, then find out later you get charged $9 for a bottle. like that’s crazy!! i just didn’t want to say anything maybe i’m cheap 🥲 they should tell you beforehand, but now i’m telling you!

I have frequented this place for drinks and appetizers and usually am impressed, but this evening my date and I were very disappointed. Appetizers: octopus and chorizo - lacked flavor shrimp cocktail - perfect... Main dish: Pork shank was fried however I could not cut through the skin to get to the meat. I was afraid that the shank would fly off the plate and land on my date's lap. So not to make a scene or send it back I just delayed eating. The waitress was great and brought me a steak knife, but even with the ridges I could not easily cut through the fried skin in the shank. After finally getting through I expected the inside meat to be falling off the bone, but again I had to saw through the pork with the steak knife. The rice was bland and I had to mix in the plum sauce to get some flavor. The maduros were dry. Branzino was flipped skin side up which was less appealing since the expectation is the cut easily through the fluffy fish and eat the skin after. My date doesn't eat the skin so she had to flip it over and almost lost it on the table. I am ok with chef's trying new things but this one should be left alone. Sweet potato side was tasty but skin side up made it look less desirable and again we flipped it to avoid the skin. If management contacts me and wants another chance I would be happy to give them another try.

The food and experience was amazing. Planned a visit for my Boyfriend's birthday and he was also pleased with Ventanas. I would suggest definitely making a reservation as they are busy especially on the weekends. Service was also great. I look forward to visiting again when it's warmer out to enjoy their outdoor space.

We went to Ventanas for my birthday - Beautiful scenery and ambiance, the food is very tasty and so are the drinks. Harold was our server and he was attentive. The other servers were very efficient filling our waters or taking away plates we were not using. They are very strict with their dress code, no hat allowed no hoodie. Very elegant I loved every aspect of it.

This place is amazing starting with the friendly valet parking staff. The hostess are very nice and welcoming. The atmosphere is very elegant and nice. It’s really beautiful inside and outside to take pictures. The food is very good. The only reason I had to take one star off was the drinks. I’ve come numerous times and never actually enjoyed or finished my drink ever. The best drink they have is the sparkling water. But overall great food and service. The lady in the women’s bathroom is also super friendly.

I came here for a birthday and apparently the menu states 16$ cocktails and they sold me a 45$ drink without letting me know it’s 45$ and when I asked to return it without having a drink he told me I can’t. This place is a joke and is very overpriced.

My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday and it was probably one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! The food was definitely met with high quality and so fresh. Everything was amazing, The ambiance is beautiful and the service was great, we enjoyed every minute being here and will sure be back again!!

Attended here on Dec 21, 2020 for a party of 8 birthday dinner. What we enjoyed upon entering the establishment was the safety precautions and contact less approach with signing the nondisclosure agreement, and accessible menus online. There were a number of discrepancies that were not specified and some of the staff are not on the same page when information is conveyed. When making reservations online with OpenTable it stated for parties 7 or more a three hour + time limit. On the Ventanas website and mini table menu it indicates for all parties due to Covid, there is an hour and a half seating arrangement for all parties. We were advised by our server that the hour and a half was true due to the new restrictions, they would ensure our food would come out in a timely manner and we would be able to enjoy everything. Our group ordered an array of food; lobster dumplings, octopus and chorizo kabobs, k-town wings, dragon rolls, and a round of drinks. Our drinks came with in 15 minutes with water served immediately. The lobster dumplings were okay, slightly undercooked, and we tasted more cilantro then lobster itself. The octopus and chorizo kabobs were slightly cold, and the k-town wings were a bit tough to chew. I would assume because they are cooked in a broiler quickly and tossed in a sauce that was a tad bit salty.The sushi was amazing! I would say the servers were very attentive at first. The problems began to arise when our food was being rushed out due to trying to maintain the time ordnance under the Covid restrictions. At this point we were already there for over an hour our appetizers came out behind schedule due to the sushi bar being backed up. We knew things weren't going to go as planned as errors occur, totally understandable. By the time the entrées came out it was already passed an hour. We ordered; (2)miso salmon one cooked medium and the other well, (2) rack of ribs one with shrimp and the other with fries, (2) branzino and artichoke puree, a steak and their special vegan meal. Now here is where the problem arises, our food came back and the size of the salmon was disappointing for the amount of money being spent paired with the vegetable fried rice that only had scallions in it and the rice was plated as if one scoop was thinly stretched across the plate. Not to mention the salmon was dry. You could tell it was rushed out. The menu indicated rack of ribs and we assumed we would get a rack if not half a rack. The rack consisted of 3 baby back ribs (to be honest they were the smallest pieces and could easily equal 2 ribs total for $35 dollars per plate) each and what appeared to be bland cocktail shrimp with one of the orders.When I brought this to the staffs attention we were advised 4 ribs come with a rack by one staff member and 3 from another. Once the manager was called we were told a "rack of ribs" was defined as multiple. The manager was able to comp. our order by adding additional 4 ribs to both meals and recreate one of the miso salmon dishes. This time the order looked totally different and looked like a quality meal was produced. We were pleased although felt like for the amount of money was being spent that should of never happened to begin with even under pressure in the kitchen. People leave any establishment with the following in mind; service, food, and drinks. Collectively we thought some things were okay, however we won't be back.

I booked this restaurant for one of my close friends’ birthday dinner. When we arrived, I was so picky about seating and they didn’t give me a heard time. We ended up at the bar, which was fine because the umbrella lighting was beautiful! Andy was our bartender/host and he was amazing! He was so attentive, let us know what was popular and super fun. I want to thank him for being patient and friendly. I would definitely recommend 10/10.

Came in for an early Sunday brunch and it was a great experience overall. All the food was cooked and seasoned well, but a few favorites were the guacamole, yucca fries, lobster dumplings, and lobster with eggs. For drinks, the peach bellini was pretty good as well -- not too sweet. Service was great and we weren't waiting too long for anything, but it also wasn't very busy so that was likely why.

Ventanas is one of the few restaurants that has it all. Atmosphere, view, food, drinks and service. Our server Kenny really enhanced our experience. He was patient, thorough and knowledgeable, I really appreciated it considering their menu offers so many amazing options. Without a doubt I will be back and most definitely will recommend.

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff. Went there for the first time for a family birthday dinner and we were all pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. Our server Josh was very kind, attentive, and was great at explaining the menu and offering recommendations. He made sure we were satisfied throughout our whole stay. Will definitely be coming back! P.S. Their quatro leches is the perfect dessert for anyone who doesn't like too sweet

Celebrated a birthday on a Friday night and I loved the atmosphere and music. The prices were high but I understand the type of place it was. However, for those prices, I expected exceptional food. I ordered the lobster entree and it was terrible. It still tasted like ocean water and perhaps should have been marinated longer. The crab cake special appetizer and the apple caramel tacos were very delicious though. My friend ordered the steak and it comes with fries, for a pricey dish, that’s a bad side. You can’t even replace it or at least that’s what the waiter said. So she had to order an extra side, we didn’t even have the sides described yo us. The waiter seemed overwhelmed too, we were a large group. We were told that they do not split bills too, it’s 2021, that’s not cool. I’d probably just come here for drinks, appetizers and to enjoy that music.

Kenny is the best!!!!!!! He is very good, we ordered all that he suggested to us. The food was amazing and definitely worth the price. We ordered the Clothesline Bacon, Chicken and Calamari, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Octopus and Chorizo as starters and theyre all so delicious. Because we were a group of 7, we ordered the beef porterhouse with Kenny’s recommendation of chicharron and the prawns, scallops, and octopus which was all to die for!! We all left stuffed and satisfied.

Excellent food and atmosphere here at Ventanas at the Modern! Our server Kenny was great and took his time explaining the menu. His assistant always filled our water cups and made sure to take dirty plates away! First time my kids finished all their food!! Can’t wait to come back, maybe try the brunch.

My husband took me to celebrate my birthday, I have to say this is one of the nicest restaurant I’ve been. The food was amazing, music was perfect, the ambiance was exactly what we were looking for. I loved it. Jose the manager made this experience even better with his kindness. True meaning of how one person can make a difference. We will definitely be going back and recommending to all our friends. Our waiter Frankie was also amazing!

I had a great experience at Ventanas restaurant. It was my birthday celebration and my sister recommended this place. The experience was fabulous, the view was great, the vibe was modern and magical and as a plus, the crowd was fashion forward, candy for the eyes. And the service was amazing! I want to give a special thank you to Jason and the staff. From the beginning of the reservation to our final bite of the evening, he was superb. Jason took ownership and ensured that our table was well informed and satisfied so I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to celebrate a birthday or just want a nice night out with family and friends. Went here for a birthday brunch. I was really expecting to love it since I have been to several other David Burke restaurants (DB Kitchen, Orchard Park, Son Cubano, etc.) and loved them all. This one was meh. Clothesline bacon was a hit with everyone as usual. Guacamole was good. Sangria tasted great and nice presentation albeit not very strong. I was underwhelmed with my entree the Lobster Sweet Potato hash. Service was good. Not bad at all but not good enough for me to return vs going to another DB restaurant.

I made a reservation for a very special night for me and my family. We were celebrating our engagement and got the best seat in the house! The service was honestly the best part! Exceptional!!! My good what a beautiful place. I felt like I was in a foreign country. This place exudes class. Their food was pricey but worth it. Everyone who entered, were models or on their way to become models. Everyone was gorgeous. I need to step my game up if I ever want to eat here again, because I was struck by all the beauty around. I came to Ventanas about a week and a half ago for a birthday dinner for 2 and was extremely pleased with my experience from the moment I drove into the parking lot. The gentlemen taking care of valet were very welcoming and really set a nice tone for the evening. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by two sweet hostesses who took our temperature and asked us to fill out a precautionary form to ensure we were not potentially ill (with covid). I felt very comfortable and at ease knowing they're taking the health of their customers seriously. Once we were seated, out amazing server ensured we were well taken care of. Our drinks, appetizers, & meals were all absolutely delicious and came out in perfect time & order. The venue & ambiance itself was also stunning & really made our dinner that much more beautiful. I highly recommend Ventanas & will most definitely be back!

I went to Ventanas for the first time this weekend and it was amazing. The food was delicious. They had such great options to choose from. The drinks were so good too. The staff was phenomenal from the hostess to our server. Our server was so nice and took such good care of us during our dinner. The managers also kept coming around to make sure we were okay. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Great vibe, music and nice views. Highly recommend!

Place is visually very nice. More of a lounge atmosphere. Food is good but very sparse for price. Was surprised that they were going to charge an addnl $5/pp to cut & serve a cake(party of 10, so they were going to do well), so no cake was brought & shared 3 desserts & was was sung HB Ok for a couple but way too costly for group. I've spent the same in a quality restaurant in NYC and did not leave hungry.

Excellent service and tasty food that is sure to have you return. I know I will be! The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered great suggestions. I ordered the skirt steak which came with fries and I ordered a side of plaintains..Simply delicious! A must try!

I thought it was better than what it actually is. Son cubanos has a better view. So, in regard to the drinks, not all are $45 lol - they have mixed drinks for $16 (drinks are good and strong) Food is alright, is not as bad as people say. I guess, for me ... the restaurant is over priced. Wayyyy over priced. View is alright. Food is alright. It’s really just a regular restaurant with fancy people.

Extremely disappointed. Just left this place and although the ambiance is nice & the server was as well. The Chef/The food was ABSOLUTELY terrible. Tasteless undercooked shrimp. Lobster dumplings made me sick immediately after eating them because they were undercooked. Valet parking made u pay cash before even leaving the car (did not take card) I would not recommend and would not return.

Ventanas is a beautiful restaurant & lounge with good music, drinks, and customer service. My waitress was friendly and down to earth. There was some miscommunication as far as whether it was reservations only or not, as two diff people who work there told me two different things, I didn’t like that very much but we straightened it out. Now about the food, honestly it’s not impressive. I had the steak frites, the steak didn’t taste like it was seasoned at all. Like not even salt and pepper seasoned. Plantains and shrimp tempura were delicious. The crab cake special with the pretzels was not good either. The champagne dream with rose ($45) was very good. Considering how the food is priced, I was expecting more as far as taste goes. I would def return for the ambiance and drinks , but not for the food.
