Beach pavillion

👍👍 Another great coastal hike. Found parking near Moss Beach and then hiked north to Montara Beach and then south to Pillar point beach. 10 miles of great coastal views, though in some places had to go through neighborhoods and a short distance walk on HWY 1. People often mention beach,

This place has a very cool marsh habitat with I think it’s herons or egrets I definitely recommend bringing binoculars. I saw a shipwreck and a lot of other ships in the foggy early morning. There was a lot of dogs not everyone obeyed the leash laws, personally I think maybe there shouldn’t be dogs allowed because this is a very popular place for harbor seals according to the signs. I did not see any harbor seals but I wouldn’t blame them for not coming here because of all the dogs.

Beautiful views from up above. I did not hike down to the beach.

Super fun. Went there with my sister in law and 12 year old daughter. There was even a haunted restaurant near by but unfortunately we couldn't go because it opens at 12. The views we're amazing and the beach there was beautiful. I'm going there again soon.

Hidden and awesome!! Great place to watch the surfers. Scenery here is beautiful. You do have to walk a bit along the beach to get to this spot but it's well worth it especially if theirs people out there surfing to watch. Enjoy!!

This beach is very beautiful, you try to capture the experience of it. The sand is a bit coarse. The sun is brighter than you expect. It is hard to get to, a bit of a hike past the Air Force Base.

Cut down a steep trail to the center, walked on a windy pristine beach within a bright arc of sand and frothy breaks against a palette of cliff side vegetation to the official trail and back up.

Used to come here all the time back in the day. There was something special about it. Too many people here now like most the rest. It was nice to catch crab or walk my dog without too many tourists up until about 5-10 years after Maverick’s got popular. Ross’ Cove was a cool place to go while Maverick’s was busy. Those days are gone. The wild life is pretty much the same. It’s been a while now since you could walk your dog on the beach. If these people knew that the dog, Maverick’s was named after used to roam this area off leash, they’d be surprised, or not. Still pretty nice and great tide pools though

Mavericks beach is a memorable experience we have come back to time and time again. California coast line at its absolute finest. Majestic waves, rolling hills and blue sky make this place well worth it. Although Mavericks is famous for surfing 🏄🏼‍♂️ it is quiet here most of the year. You'll find an occasional brave surfer get into the cold water. We have observed the power of the ocean right at this spot, especially during winter. Always keep your young and pets by your side. The beach is relaxing, a great place to recharge your mind and take on another week in the Bay Area. Bring a pet and stroll, but do not forget to pick up your dogs poop! Most days it is windy enough to fly a 🪁 kite. It is so much fun, with plenty of room. On a good day you can take incredible pictures 📸 here, even with the camera on your phone. The place has not been very busy the last few years. There is no food or drink at the beach, however on the way there you will drive by a few places that offer to go items. Parking is somewhat limited, come early and don't stay too long.

It’s a beautiful beach with hiking trails around the bluff. Afterwards, we topped it off with some yummy chowder and calamari at the wharf. I’d highly recommend it
