Cool decor, great staff, awesome atmosphere. This place gains regulars for a reason. They have two entertainment rooms which include features such as a photo booth (bring tape if you wanna put one of your strips beneath the Makeout Room sign), air hockey, ski ball, and 4 way Pacman. Events are hosted weekly -- ski ball tournaments on Tuesdays, Trivia Night/Bingo Wednesdays, drag night hosted by Ava Lashay on Thursdays, and karaoke/DJing on Fridays and Sundays. No food but you can bring your own so long as you clean up after yourself.

Always a great time at the RIC! Love their embrace of unicorn and 80s fantasy nostalgia in the decor. Great space with great history.

Such a fun spot. Lots of beautiful majestic unicorn decor. Like a more low key/ relaxed/ hole in the wall barcade. Skeeball, and air hockey!!! Drinks were ok, when we went they were sadly out of a lot of drink options.

Cute, cozy, fun little bar. Drag show with no cover on the night we attended. Lively crowd with a nice bartender. Only reason I didn't give the extra star was the lack of variety of alcohol.

Just as I first walked in I loved it. Felt like home since I lived a bit north of RIC for 20 years and just south for another 20. My grown sons and I called it The Hut. New owner, fresh and full of good energy. I love to follow AOL’s bass player, Steve Adams and have driven many miles to see him play, I was so excited when he was sitting in to play right in my hood. Not disappointed!! and loved the band playing, beautiful building and the crowd felt like a bunch of friends. All talented musicians playing to a happy group of locals. No cover and early hours.

Awesome rock ridge drive bar. Some good arcade games now too, but hard to complain in general. Just watch out for the unicorns.

Went for trivia night! Pretty cool. Some tough questions but a fun experience!

I'm not sure if they serve food here, but I've never had a bad drink or unfriendly service. Seems like there's trivia on Wednesday nights, but many many more game options. Skee ball, arcade hoops, Air hockey, and a working photo booth. The neon is brilliant and unique. Absolutely love this bar because it's the perfect amount of hip with zero pretension. Great public house to say the least! The only note of improvement is that they were out of ingredients when I ordered a White Russian but that's a politically incorrect drunk right now anyway.

This place is a hidden gem! Never had a bad experience and love the Bob Ross visuals. It’s just a good time and the karaoke has always been an added bonus!

The good: Nice looking location. The DJ that night was on point with EDM House music. It was a very good crowd too. The bad: We ordered Moscow mules and what we were served didn't taste anything like it. Asked the bartender for some extra ginger beer and was told they were out of it. Explained we asked for Moscow mules. He said they were out for a while. They had sold out much earlier. He shrugged and went to do something else. So why didn't he tell this to us upfront before he made us drinks and charged us for the wrong damn thing? Otherwise this place is a 4 star with decent bartending and with good bartending it might be 5 stars.

Great atmosphere and beer specials. Old-style, two-level bar right near everything in Rockridge/Claremont. Actually have a fireplace they use. Good bar for entertaining relatives from out of town, with activities most nights.

A pretty neatly situated place. Ski ball, shuffleboard, live music galore. There was only one guy working most of the time so service was a little slow. The vibe was fun and friendly. Nice chairs, good for groups. Cheap drinks at happy hour. Slight neighborhood parking.

Good local bar with “crafty” cocktails (nothing crazy) and beer. The fireplace sets the vibe. All of the games help keep people around for a while! I’d recommend for those who like to do more than just drink and talk.

Great venue, very inclusive! The drag show on Thursdays is great! They require a vaccination card to get in which is awesome! Drinks are good as well!

So happy that The RIC opened back up and is back in business! This place is a staple. Great drinks and incredible atmosphere will make for an awesome night. Hungover in Mexico is delicious if you're into Mezcal!

Great fun & games. Bar gets popping now and maybe a bit too many tables on the floor but just think of weaving through them as another game! :)

Great drinks and service and three functioning skeeball machines with other table top games. What more can you ask for? I hear they do drag shows but I have only been once so far and haven’t see one yet!

After coming to the Rockridge Improvement Club two times now, I can safely say it is becoming a destination chill bar spot for us. From the unique decor, unicorns and such, ample seating, a fireplace, darts, mini bowling and strong drinks, RIC offers a relaxed, fun and low key atmosphere. An all around great spot meeting up with friends over drinks without the all the fuss and scene. Pros: Strong drinks, fireplace and lots of seating area. Cons: Nothing comes to mind. Bottom line: Chill and cozy drink spot.
