Zareen’s is a definite favorite for me and my friends in terms of restaurants near Stanford campus! Food is delicious and well-spiced. I often order the palak methi paneer plate, and the chicken tikka masala plate is a friend’s most-liked. The restaurant can get pretty busy especially at peak times, so sometimes there is a bit of a wait to order. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating (with heating) which is nice.

Super good food! A lot of options and they are very clear with the vegetarian options. The seating was pretty full but after 5/10min of waiting some people got up and we were able to take their spots. Nice outdoor seating, as well, and very quick service.

A great place to grab some good Indian/Pakistani food. Really crowded during the weekends. They have limited indoor seating but has a decent outdoor space. The food was delicious and I truly enjoyed it. You should definitely try it if you are in the area!

Zareen’s Palo Alto place is phenomenal. We ordered the tandoori chicken burger, lamb gosht thali, and butter Naan. The food is really good and all I was doing was just stuffing my mouth. Best place to enjoy the food with the outside atmosphere., especially during the evening time. Its that simple, just order a food and waiter will bring the food at your bench hardly within 10 mins., we got out food. Definitely recommend and we will come again.

Zareen's is completely worth the hype and wait. This is my absolute favorite Pakistani restaurant in the Bay Area and period! Didn't take photos of all the food we ordered. Was too hungry 😁. But 10/10 taste and the quantity was superb. The minced meat Chapli kebab was mouth watering and the chicken sizzler was heavenly👌

Zareen's is best in business when it comes to food taste & quality consistency. I could say that as It's been a goto place for me for last 6-7 years now. I haven't encountered any off day here compared to other restaurants around SF Bay Area. I would highly recommend it. Also, It's serves HALAL meat. It's always busy and yet very quick with service. Everything is so good. It's hard to tell which one is better over the other. You better try everything and pick favorites for yourself. My few favorites: Chicken Memoni Samosa Sabri Beef Nihari (available only on Saturday/Sunday) Chicken Biryani (available only on Friday) Chicken Tikka Masala (Available everyday) Chicken Tikka Masala tastes better with butter naan. Sabri Beef Nihari tastes better with sesame naan. Plenty free public parking options around.

Visited Zareen’s Palo Alto in the late afternoon at around 3 PM on Sunday and it was not too crowded. The indoor seating is limited but they have a very spacious outdoor seating area. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Thali and the Chicken Sizzler. It was the best chicken tikka we have tasted in the Bay Area and OMG the chicken sizzler is bursting with spices and delicious😋. Rice felt a little bland but the Naan was so good.

We had the chicken goti sizzler, lamb curry, and chicken tikka masala. All were insanely good and trip highlights. Their ordering system is also excellent and even though lines are long (as they deserve to be), they move fast. Amazing establishment that I can't wait to go back to again.

This location is incredible, and the food is delicious! I literally took a bite while considering my upcoming trip back here. The building was tidy and well-maintained, and there was a patio area for dining. The beef taal & chicken tandoori burger was what I had. Visit this location without a doubt; I'll be back!

Was craving some curry and wanted to finslly try Zareen's! We went to this location because it had indoor seating. Lucky for us a table left right after we ordered so we were able to snag a nice warm and comfy spot inside! You can order with the cashier up front or there is also a self order tablet at the front as well! We ordered 2 a la carte curries, the tikka masala and the madras chicken curry to share and our other friend ordered a combo plate for her tikka masala. We also ordered rice and naan, garlic and the cheddar jalapeno on the side since the a la carte doesnt come with rice. The curries were really flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice. The naan was also soooo good I cant really decide which one I liked better! The mango lassi was also a great pairing with dinner! They also have a bit more modern fusion items on the menu that we didnt try, but we do want to in the future! A nice go to spot for some curry!

Clearly, one of the best Pakistani restaurants anywhere in the world. The food is almost as good as what my wife cooks at home. The food we ordered came very promptly. It took us back to the days when we lived in Karachi. Service was courteous. Prices reasonable.

I was visiting Palo Alto and was craving authentic Pakistani food and googled helped me finding Zareen’s! I was amused to see that they do halwa puri and nihari on weekends! I got excited and went for Sunday brunch with my fam. It was just above my expectations! Just wow 🤩 perfect balance of spices in nihari, cholay and tarkari. The mango lassi was hit and yah their naan are the best in entire west coast! They got ample seating inside and outside at the patio. The vibe is totally different when you pass by and smell masaley dar aroma on streets of Palo. The manager was very nice to us and kept checking on us if we need anything. the service was outclass 💯 👌🏾 Keep up the great taste and service. Wishing Zareen’s team all the success 🏆🎖

The BEST Pakistani restaurant ever!!! From the samosas and their chutney to the Nihari and Sizzling Chicken which was an amazingly great proportion to the sweet sweet Gulab Jamon and Mango Lassi- this place was authenticity rich and perfectly on point! Price was surprisingly great per the location- I hope they consider franchising out to other cities/states… Dallas could benefit from a great Pakistani experience!! The only thing that was “negative” was the seating situation- it was rather tight and seemed like people had to wait a bit to find a spot to sit at, as there was no host.

The best and softest naan bread I’ve ever had. The place was very busy on a Saturday but we got seats in a few minutes. The food was so good, the samosas were so delicious. The lamb dish was really good too. The flavors of the dishes were amazing. Will definitely visit again.

I came here with high expectations and sadly I left very disappointed. I will most definitely NOT be returning to this establishment again. Aside from the lackluster customer service, in which I had to ask multiples times for items that should have been readily available and weren’t, I found a HAIR in my food. Below is a zoomed in picture of the black DIRTY piece of hair or whatever that was in my rice. On top of that, the food was rather cold and tasted like a knockoff of a typical Indian dish. Maybe this is a note to wear hairnets and improve on customer service and cleanliness. Wouldn’t recommend.

Food was amazing. Tried grilled chicken boti sizzler, lamb ghost, butter naan. Each and every item was cooked to perfection and very well-balanced spice levels. Have been there multiple times, and never been disappointed. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Zareen’s is a great place to go if you’re looking for some authentic Pakistani/Indian cuisine. The restaurant is mostly a self-service restaurant so I can’t comment too much on the service. You order from a digital kiosk, you grab utensils/napkins yourself, only the food is delivered to your table. Atmosphere at the Palo Alto location felt lacking, especially when compared to Redwood City location. Though, you’re not really coming here for the service or the atmosphere/experience, you’re coming here for the highly flavorful, delicious, food. We ordered the Aloo Tikki, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Sabri Beef Nihari. We paired the two curries with regular and garlic naan. Aloo Tikki was decent, nothing to write home about but a good appetizer if you're looking for something on the more filling side. You get 3 pieces in an order so it's a great app to split between two people. I'd give it a 5/10 and would probably opt to try different apps next time. Chicken Tikka Masala was made in a more Indian traditional style, which makes it on the sweeter end. Personally, I don't love when the masala is too sweet so this one was not the biggest hit for me. I'd give it a 6.5/10 though, mainly because the chicken was very tender and cooked well. Nihari was super flavorful, had just enough of a kick to it, and tasted authentically Pakistani, which I really appreciated. 10/10 would recommend you go on the weekend, as the Nihari is a weekend special only, and unavailable during the week days.

I have been hearing a lot about this place for a while and I have to say it did not disappoint. The expectation was met with amazing food. The flavor is amazing and to the point. I had the weekend halwa poori and I have to say it was YUM. The food is not too spicy and halwa doesn’t make you feel you wana sleep on the floor at the restaurant itself. The line at store might make you rethink about waiting but honestly they’re fast. It didn’t take us too long to place the order and get it. Nashta plate was good too and chapli just hit the spot. The tea is on the lighter side and while it was good i felt it could have been a bit stronger. Over all would definitely recommend this place.

Chicken sizzler is pretty good and goes well with naan. Samosa burger is okay. The samosa is smashed between the two buns..

Worth the drive down to Palo Alto. Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Curry were flavorful and filling! Super busy on the weekends but the line goes by fast and food came out quickly too. Their naan was fresh, crispy, and huge for the price.

Great food! Great people, a little tricky to find a seat! The biryani thing is super awesome! The drink was great too! There is indoor and outdoor seating, but may get tricky to find an empty one during peak season. Cleanness: clean People: nice Food: great Seating: indoor and outdoor

We waited in a long line to get in on a Saturday night. The line moved pretty fast. The food was quite authentic and naan was warm. Spices are punch. Portion size was generous. We got the garlic naan and mango lassi along with two rice plate combos (chicken tikka masala and lamb gosht). Didn't wait too long before the arrival of all dishes.

Ever since moving to the Bay area, I had heard a lot about Zareen's from South Asian food connoisseurs. Finally, got the opportunity to stop by for an unplanned weeknight dinner at their Palo Alto location. You walk in and place an order at the front desk. seats are not assigned but you rather find a table that is vacant. They have a spacious outdoor seating area. The place was pretty busy and on a lively street. We ordered the lamb curry, a grilled chicken sizzler and the garlic naan. Everything was delicious but the lamb was the best of all. The naan was perfectly cooked and not the chewy textured which I dislike. We also supplemented the meal with chai and firni (dessert). Overall, it was easily one of the best south asian food I've had in the bay area.

I recently dined here with 3 of my colleagues , and I have to say that we all were disappointed with the experience. While the restaurant boasts a good star rating, I found a couple of aspects to be lacking. Firstly, the portion sizes of the dishes left much to be desired, especially considering the prices. I left feeling a bit underwhelmed by the value for money. Additionally, I couldn't help but notice that the lighting in the restaurant at many tables was quite dim, which definitely affected the overall ambiance and my ability to enjoy the meal fully. Despite the positive rating, these issues left me wishing for a more satisfying dining experience overall.

Wow the food here is amazing. At the Palo Alto Pl. to go to sit outside under the awning on the street. For lunchtime the thalis are excellent. You get a combination of meat lentils rice and a salad and you can order hot Naan (flatbread) on the side

It was good, not full if spices like traditional Indian food, but it satisfied my craving.

The waiters are the nicest, most skilled folks out there. Kudos to all, they need a raise for so skillfully handling such a busy atmosphere. Food was delicious (very spicy though) for my taste, well cooked, great presentation, generous portions. We got sizzling chicken and Lamb Goosht Stew with garlic Naan. Mango Lassi was yummy, good for after spicy food. Ambiance is fun and busy. The have sitting space inside and outside with heaters too.

Really fantastic. Get the garlic naan! They are huge, pizza sized.

Great Indo/Pak food, good prices, and sizeable proportions makes this a place that's hard not to recommend! Expect to wait a little to order, but getting and seat (indoor or outdoor) and service is very quick. Highly recommend the chicken boti sizzler plate, masala fires, and sheerman!

Really good! I love how the use high quality food. Chicken tastes real and not like those square cubes you always get at other Indian restaurants. Dishes are pouring with flavors and deliciousness! Top recommendations: Chicken Tika Massala Chicken sizzler Chicken somosas Lentils <<< not sure what they call it :P Mango lassi < don’t drink before food cause it’ll make you full And also food is halal! Enjoy! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
