Hold on.... just one second... I need to lift my jaw from the floor... it's.... AMAZING!! This historical Oakland landmark is definitely one of the most architecturally beautiful buildings that I have had the opportunity to explore. It truly embodies elegance and class of the 1920's, an almost forgotten era that's quickly fading into history. The staff are top tier employees, second to none. If you ever have the chance to experience the Paramount theater, you definitely will not be disappointed.

I loved the 20s aesthetic it has a lot of Gatsby vibes to it. I got there to see Symphonie Fantastique a few weeks ago and I simply loved it. Their programs are affordable compared to other theaters. I'm definitely coming back again.

A true Gem! Entrance was smooth, health protocols for entrance applied. Super friendly staff and the venue is just classic, clean and comfortable! Super convenient since it’s about a half a block from Bart! Can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful venue.. staff so nice and friendly. Once the show began taken to my seat I realized it was perfect for me. "Festival of Laughs" Google it soooooo funny hilarious. If you get a chance and like this type of humor? I recommend.

I found street parking a few blocks away, and felt safe and secure, leaving my car, there, and walking to the Paramount theater. Upon arriving, there were two long lines of people waiting to get in to watch Lila Downs perform. I can tell immediately who was walking up to see the performance because there were many beautifully dressed people , with colorful, traditional, Mexican attire, and large flower headbands. I loved the vibe and energy from the audience. From the moment you walk in to the theatre, it’s immediately stunning. There are high ceilings and multiple floors. I sat toward the back balcony and although I could hear the performers, I felt that the acoustics could’ve been better. The show lasted for an hour, and I was a bit surprised because it was advertised for longer. Despite those two observations that leave room for improvement, I had a wonderful time and will definitely come back to the theater. It was a beautiful experience. Lastly, there were food trucks and plenty of restaurant options for before and after the show hunger cravings so that was a plus.

Loved this theater. It's a kind of place you can dress up at. It seems like no one does that these days. Loved the vanities in the ladies restroom.

Saw an excellent performance by Taylor Tomlinson here. Far right orchestra stall seats still had a great view, and it's a stunningly beautiful theatre. The decor inside is incredible from the vaulted ceilings to the relief carvings on the walls. Will make a point of coming here again.

Historic theater opened in December 1931. Still going strong! Watched a love comedy show and really enjoyed the ambiance. Not too cold, not too hot. Highly recommend and very close to post show cocktail bars 🍸

It's a beautiful theater that keeps it's magic from past times and a great venue to watch concerts and conferences. I love all the art and decorations that fill the halls and corridors it takes you back to the past times like if you were just there back in it's glory days!

We had a great time at the beautiful Paramount Theatre. With the safety protocols we felt safe. I can't wait for another show to come to town

Beautiful and historic theatre. Bless the staff who have such patience and professionalism dealing the shenanigans of its visitors. Fun place for events, music, performances... very lovely! Pretty easy parking and access to Bart.

We had a great time seeing Chris Tucker. I had not been to this Theater, since I was in elementary school, to see the Nutcracker. It's beautiful inside! 😍

Very friendly staff and extremely easy to get to. Located right in downtown Oakland, you can get off at BART and you're right there. The interior is gorgeous.

A beautiful landmark theater. So glad it's open and we're having events again. There is a parking garage, but I just took a uber.

Great as always...beautiful vintage venue with great acoustics. The girls needed more help behind the bar on the top floor but were very nice and advertised for other artists coming to the theatre.

I really enjoy seeing shows at this beautiful art deco theater. But since switching to electronic tickets, the scanners at the door don't always work and twice I've had to go to the box office to get the issue resolved. They know this is an issue and are very nice about it, but waiting in 2 lines is no fun. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to wait in two lines incase this happens to you. Note, it doesn't always happen, but it's frustrating when it does.

Got to see my favorite pianist,Tori Amos, again at this classic theater. Amazing sound system. Really no bad seat in the house for viewing. Bat line went REALLY fast, and it was fairly long. Munchies and drinks were not too over priced. The place could use new seat cushions for sure.

Great acoustics! Very swank. Front row balcony are the best seats in the house!

Wonderful time at the theatre! We took our son to watch Cocomelon live. Close by parking, fast entry and ticket service. We were upgraded on seating as we arrived earlier. Lines were short for concession and souvenirs! We loved the whole experience, very clean and beautiful! Perfect time🀩

Very beautiful venue! So so so pretty inside and the customer service is great. My only down side would be that it can be difficult to find your seats, people were struggling to find there seats and I think they need to add new row letters that light up and are located somewhere more visible... Other than that amazing place!

First time I've been to the Paramount Theater! I want to go to see Jeff Dunham. There was a small problem with ticketmaster's system but nothing that wasn't able to be fixed. Great employees and an awesome theater. They don't make them like that anymore. Highly recommended for any show you want to go to!
