I have been coming to sudblock for 10+ years, it was always one of the most favorable places for drinks and top notch snacks, sadly up until today… understandably we are dealing with a post-covid situation and rampant inflation, but I am very, very disappointed in the quality of both food and drinks! The prices on the menu have soared and the quality of drinks is low — food not to mention. The portions of food are minuscule, there are more condiments than actual food and sadly there is nothing tender about the chicken tenders anymore ;( heartbreaking!

Female waitress didn't want to take small coins. Food was ok, nothing special. But why is she not accepting coins? It's not my problem if they have to count a lot of coins when they're doing die Kasse. It's Money anyways. Besides we was not even attending people, just talking with a man all the time, even if she knew we were looking and waiting for her to pay...

Generally a likeable place, but last night not so much. The woman taking our orders behind the counter asked me to tip her straight away when ordering. I don’t mind tipping but I do it after I’m actually seated and after I’ve had my meal. I said I would put something in the jar later but this was not what she had in mind. She got very angry with me and threw away my receipt. Routines can be a bit awkward in a pandemic, but why not just put a tip jar by the exit so people can give as they wish? Asking guests for a tip when they arrive and getting upset if they don’t give any is not cool.

It would be nice if staff and management were friendlier and more accomodating. I have experienced gratuituous rudeness here more than once and it's a shame. Inclusiveness includes treating people with respect.

I wish every place in Berlin would be like here. You can drink, eat and dance, all in one place.

Food is good and cheap, drinks are good value too. Staff are always very friendly. It’s non smoking inside which is great.

-Before second lockdown review- Only after sitting down have I realised it is a beer garden. First visited with the corona restrictions in place when putting on the mask everytime we stand up was still confusing. Nice and alternative vibe. Really enjoy the jalapeño pommes.

Great vibes at this queer space. Interesting and varied crowd, and a cool place to meet friends. Seating indoor and out which is amazing in summer. Great for dinner or a snack with mostly fried foods. Meet your friends here and have a fun drink!

If you're in for a Berlin-style camp experience, this is it. Queer-friendly Biergarten inside and outside. The food is better than you'd expect!

The atmosphere is very warm - not too busy but busy the right way - the food and drinks are reasonably priced and satisfying, and the crowd is very nice. One of my favorite places in Berlin!

great atmosphere and variety of drinks. never tried the food. just a lazy pity we have to go to order at the bar, but well, it is always a nice walk into it.

The burger was huge, almost too much to handle, but absolutely so delicious. I couldn't quite tell if the staff member taking my order was friendly or not; since I don't speak German, I had to ask for clarification, which made me feel a bit guilty for not knowing the language, although I'm not sure why. Something didn't feel quite right, and it left me feeling uneasy. However, I'm willing to give there another shot for this place and see through these situation. :) The atmosphere inside was great, lively, and colorful. At the very least, it's worth stopping by to check out the place and maybe grab a beer!

Very chill place with a nice outdoor area. The fries are really tasty and the portion sizes generous, prices for both food and dirnks are reasonable. I'd suggest you reserve a table if you plan to go on the weekend.

Was there today, the waiter in the cash machine was pretty unfriendly and with a very unpolite attitude and a male looking customer literally said while realizing we were not queing: "get out of my way" . You don't need to be unpolite to be cool dears...

Very nice typical German bar with a cool outdoor seating area that’s litten up and well decorated. The beers are mostly your typical German pils but the price are not expensive (especially if you take 3L). There’s also food (curry wurst obviously).

very decent prices and great atmosphere on the weekend! cute outdoor area with lights

No Service to the tables. One has to go to the bar and order there and then pick up the drinks and/or food and take it to ones table. The prices are fair. The food quality is okay. Not amazing but also not beneath standards. The tables outside especially in the summer are very attractive, a lot of people, very nice atmosphere. Interessting place for queer and non-queer people.

Easy to love hang out spot. Pretty efficient at taking orders while trying to keep a small number of people indoors in covid times. Friendly funny staff when I’ve been.

Nice place with a big outdoor seating area right at Kottie. The food is good and not expensive. The staff is friendly and the crowd as well.

Fantastic, super-inclusive place with cheap drinks and good, affordable food (many vegan options too). A truly open space for anyone without a bad attitude. And don’t listen to the review haters, the staff are really very nice!

I didn t like The food because The meat all was burned, The potatoes hâd skin but The skin was hard (IT was like eating a paper). For ME wasn t a pleasant experience. I won t come back, i won t recommend IT. I have to mention that The locals seemed to have a really Good Time.

I used to come here 3 - 4 year and the food was good. I came here last week and the food was awful, no taste and I had to change my "boulette" as it was totally burnt. Nice place for a drink but not for eating, too expensive for the quality.

Nice and crowded place known as a gay bar. You can find gluten free and vegan foods there. Interesting people inside.

The best Place ever, to go for a drink with some Friends or ti make an informal job appointment. Insider there Is a small stage for music and shows and the space Is big and you can take the distanze, if you like. People there are very nice and gentle. Pay cash or by card up from 10€. Outside a big open space that Is really crawdy in Summer. The food Is various veggie and vegan and taste. LGBT+ more than welcome. If you are in Berlin, you have to go there for a beer!

Very relaxed and laid back atmosphere (so is the service, keep that in mind) - patrons seem in a very good mood. good pub food and drinks and the location is also ace and makes it a very cute Biergarten that I will visit again soon

Very friendly and open vibe. Looked a bit shady from the outside though, but like many other places in Berlin don't let this fool you. It's a great place to come together and meet friends.

Very atmospheric and lovely place! Great snacks and a good choice of drinks is available!

  • 2/5 Arantza R. 1 year ago on Google
You have to order, pick up and return glasses yourself, so not the best service. Ans there's usually a long line. Plus is that you van pay with a card and that they sell food.

It was ok, food not the best and expensive for that it is.. the flat bread was too dry. Beer good and the staff also very cool

It’s my first night in Berlin … this place was recommended for drinks by a friend but I ventured to get some snacks since I felt peckish .. all was good till they arrived : the calamari are fried to death hard like a rock , even the fries are bad .. how can you go wrong with that ?! Incredible 🤦‍♂️
