Came here to party and have fun with a reservation for a bachelor party. Even thou everything was confirmed we were rejected at the door. I couldn’t get a worse customer experience . Never again. Answer to owner 220519: No, you’re just reaching for something. We were dressed nice, none of us had to much alcohol (we hadn’t even started drinking) and had a quiet and good talk with the staff. Better yet there was no one else then us in line, so it’s kinda hard to disturb the “guests”. Makes me wonder with your answer maybe the problem is that we did not have the ethnicity you desired. Good luck, have fun! Matrix was much better anyway 😀✌🏻

Worst experience ever. Waited 30 minutes in the queue and the bouncer said no because we were not white. Club policy toward colour individuals is overwhelmingly racist. Not recommended

I would like to start by saying that I have never left a review before, let alone a negative one. So that fact that I have done in this case should speak volumes to those who would care to read it. We chose this establishment out of convenience more than anything. We had been to Germany before but this was the first time staying in Hotel Bristol Berlin. As many of you probably know, this hotel is on the same street as the pearl so it appeared to be the best choice. We got to the door at around half past 12 as we did not want to be to early or to late. As the prime time is supposedly 1am we had assumed that this time would be somewhat quieter. In this respect we were correct, there very few people waiting. Despite this, the security, who did not seem to be doing all that much at the time, took so long to attend us that we managed a rather lengthy conversation with those in the line in front of us. These guests were then shown into the door after quite a substantial time period. We were not, we were simply told “no entry” and they then proceeded to pretend that they did not speak English. Now I understand that occasionally, ratios do need to be maintained for everyone’s enjoyment. However, the guests that entered before us was group of four female guests. We were only two male guests and there was no one else waiting. We always attend an establishment earlier than needed for just this reason so I can only asume that we did not match the standard of guest required to enter this particular club. Perhaps this was the case, I do not know as I was not given any information on request. So I put some information here about us and our appearance last night and you can judge for yourselves. We were two British males, one just under 5ft’9 and the other is about 6ft. I was wearing a dark red button up shirt, formal jeans and a pair of Church’s Oxfords. All in all I think my outfit that night was at a slightly higher value than the marque that we were gathered under. If this was not suitable attire then I shall make sure to arrive on my next visit within one of the suites that I attend meetings in! Secondly, we were also not in anyway inebriated as we had driven to the city before hand. In fact, neither of us had drunk anything of an alcoholic nature for quite some time. Neither of us were rude to the staff or unbecoming in any way. I would not consider myself or my colleague to be undesirable. I am a career driven professional, employed as a Client Management Consultant with a top southwest Executive Search company. As you can imagine, I had a large amount of money to spend last night and due to the security staff, none of it was spent within this club. I understand how business works better than most and typically, successful ones do not turn away potentially high value clientele. I have travelled extensively and been to far more exclusive establishments in London and across the world. This is the first time that I have been refused entry into any building, let alone a club. I am not particularly irritated by this as I have been quite lucky in this respect until now. What annoys me is the lack of constructive feed back I was given. The club was not in full swing, so population was not an issue. We were also very sober, meaning by process of elimination, we were either rude or dressed poorly. I would hope that this was not the case but if it was, I would have liked to have been informed so that this could be rectified accordingly. It was very clear that this was never going to be the case. The Security had clearly made his decision and I don’t think this would have changed for any reason. Never have I dealt with someone as callous or as rude as the staff member in this particular incident. I wish the Pearl all of the best for the future but I would say your staff, wether contracted or full time, leave a lot to be desired. I would suggest either a retrain or perhaps a change of supplier if they are not your staff. I would be happy to be in touch with your team with regards having a constructive conversation. Regards, John

Most clubs in Berlin get low reviews but after meeting the doormen at Monkey Bar Vs the attitude you get here, this place deserves it's low rating. It's quite obvious that the guy with the blazer at the front (who may be management as he was giving it the big :)) doesn't understand customer service. It's 'yes or no' to him. Been to enough clubs around the world to know the difference. We were recommended here so it may be great inside but I wouldn't figure that by the doormen and management. When we got to the door at 0300am, we had to make a decision if we were willing to commit €75 for entry for 5 people around 3 hours of clubbing before we pay another €70/round in there! This confirmed our reason not to.Respect: they expect it and so do we. We still partied! Go to Bricks. We were recommended there by many.

Was there last night, great music indeed, mix of everything and many guyz always ready to dance. However the big bartender on the first counter near the entrance is plain blank racist..my first ever discriminative experience. He kept ignoring to take my order acting like he had not seen me... Nearly 15 minutes until i ordered a drink through a friend....a gin n tonic that cost 9 F king Euros !!!!!!! ... Not going back there any time soon.

Me and my friends, a group of 10, made an early VIP table reservation 1 of march. I had read through the reviews before and understood that some people had a bad experience from the security at this place. I totally understand and agree with all. We came there to celebrate my friends birthday and I emailed to the ”Sales Manger” who help me reserve the table just to ask her what they mean with ”no entry guarantee even if you have a VIP table” - she said that they assess the guest depending on what clothes they wear and how their condition is (drunk/sober). Everyone of us was sober and perfectly dressed for a night out. The security guard had a quick look at me and my friends and told oss that ”this constellation is not working” - they told us that there were no girls with us and therefore they asked us to leave and referred to their information on the website ”no entry guarantee”. My friends especially boys, don’t waste your time here. This is not what I call a club, a club is a place where everyone is welcome despite gender. The guards are fully aware of what kind of people they want to have inside and sorry to say, me and my friends where not the right people. The Pearl club will close down very soon (I hope). My recommendation is to try Avenue Club Berlin, same set-up but much more nicer security and a club environment where everyone is welcome. Thanks.

The worst club i ever been, never recommend it. Spent a fortune. And been treated awful. We booked a VIP table for 2 people worth 1000$ and only one person got in, and the second person never entered . The whole night was ruined. No one even tried to help. Very arrogant waiters and bartenders👎🏻 I asked for the manager, they all avoided any help. We still got big bottles of vodka and in the end it got stolen . A full large bottle. And they lied that cameras dont work. I will never come back to this club, awful

If only I could I would have put a 0 star rating. Such a poor management and rude staff. We were a group of six people and the bodyguard at the entrance didn't let two of us in for no reasons. He just kept teasing us. We paid 300 euros and booked a table for 6 people registering all names. BIG SCAM, AVOID!!!

Booked a table, all confirmed with a female hostess. Arrived early to ‘guarantee’ entry. On arrival female staff very nice and took details but were clearly instructed not to let us in. When asked why, we got told the ‘boss’ another bouncer said no. When we asked him he said he didn’t have to give a reason why he rejected us. Was clear racism as we were 3 brown males from London, they just didn’t want us in the club. Disappointing that in 2018 still experiencing this kind of racism.

It was a nice club, but the security is useless. I visited Berlin on holiday and went to the Pearl twice. Both times there was a creepy guy there who choked me and pulled my hair. I had pain on my neck for several days after this. Me and my friends tried to contact the security and tell them about the incident, and that it had happened more than once. The security did not care, and told us he could not do anything about it. We had to leave because it is not nice to be in a club, and someone pulls you away and are violent. If you ever go to this club, do not walk alone ever. I was just walking from the ladies room to meet my friends on the outside when this happened. Do not trust security, they do not care.

Racist. Didn’t let 6 of us in, kicked us out of line and then let in 6 guys in after us. We waited an hour btw (we asked locals where a good club was). I went back and asked the guy what happened, pointed to my skin (brown) and asked ‘was it because of this?’ And he literally nodded yes and laughed. Frustrating and sad that this happens to this day. First day in Berlin and not the best start. A disgrace.

Nice club! No idea what the people mean with „racist“. I have seen people from all nations in that club. However, this is no Sisyphos, KitKat or Berghain, where you can come in (well actually have to come in) bathrobes, fetish or half naked.

I’ve never taken the time to write a review but last nights experience was so appalling and discriminatory that I felt it needed to be shared. The fact of us not being let into the club is not the issue here but more the way it was utterly mismanaged. We had a table booked for 4, mentioned on the phone that we are 4 guys and were told that it’s fine. We arrived 20mins earlier, waited in the queue and after finding our name on the list, the group of Turkish doormen just said leave. 1- First of all, having been to many clubs around the world, I never experienced not being let in when you’ve agreed to a min spend on a table. 2- a group of Germans next to us who were in the guest list line but didn’t even have their names on were literally told in German by the same bouncer that you can have their table. (Not knowing that we understand German) 3- he offered the table to them for 150 euros whereas we were told a min spend of 400 euros. The disrespect, discrimination and borderline racism we faced that night turned out to be part of a bigger problem of how middle easterns are perceived in Berlin nightlife. No matter how positive reviews on the pearl and many Berliner nightclubs are, having such a discriminatory & indecent approach by stereotyope bouncers with God complex shouldn’t rate your venue as hip or trendy.

Everytime I went there the same security guy denies me. Never a reason and tonight is the 3rd time he says so no. I am sober, well dressed as I know the club dress code, and my behavior was perfect because I just stood in the queue like everyone else. I come from a South Africa where racism was long into the 90s and I have never cried racism there. I even asked the security what is the problem and all he says is please just go away. We have been there with a group of colleagues too and may I add they were all asian. Including the owner of our company. Same issue, none of us were white. Tonight i even sent a guestlist and registered for the Pearl club card. IF you are not white you are not welcome at this club.

My favourite spot in Berlin. I don't miss the K'dam After work every Thursday. It's classy, neat, and organised. The staff are amazing, friendly, polite, and professional. Prices of drinks are really reasonable, maybe sometimes cheap. I recommend The Pearl 100%. If you care about having a great time and meeting classy and reasonable people, then The Pearl is the place to be.

Have heard mixed things about the Pearl for years. Tonight was the night and I have to admit, I enjoyed the music and the place. The place is crowded, but still I was able to find a good dancing spot. Toilettes are fine, but two cabins for both sexes might make the waiting longer. The Toilette lady is a darling!

My friends and I went here on NYE as per a recommendation from the concierge at our hotel. We were apprehensive about going here due to the amount of recent 1 star reviews we saw here on google. I don’t think this place deserves only one star, but it’s teetering btw two and three... We liked that there are two rooms in this bar with two vip areas. The age range of people here was like 20-35. The music was all the American party hits from maybe 8 years ago? So it could’ve been better. And the DJ wouldn’t take requests. The music got better as the night went on though. The drinks were definitely watered down, but were reasonably priced. We appreciated that the bouncers kept the line moving quickly so that we could get in before midnight. Regarding all of the reviews saying bartenders ignored people... it’s a crowded nightclub. Maybe I’m more accustomed to this due to many nights out in NYC and Miami, but I felt that the service was relatively reasonable considering how crowded it was. It’s a busy nightclub what can you expect?

If I could post 0 I would, the bouncer is clearly told who to let in, if your not his type he won’t even hear you out, would not recommend, a jail cell would give you more rights,

I don’t understand the negative reviews. We went there for first time and everything went well. The bouncers were really friendly and drinks were good specially (vodka-cranberries) , music was really good too the only reason i am not rating 5 stars is because at some point there were just tooooo many people inside.
