WHY DOES THIS PLACE HAS A +4 RATING? Yes, this place it beautifully located with very nice benches next to the cannel and the vines provide coziness to the terras. BUT the service level it absolutely horrible the waiters are not friendly and it ruins the whole experience. Beers are ok not the best (not dutch ;)

As we were visiting Berlin so choose this place for drink and dine. As soon as we entered the door, we asked table for 4 to drink. It was quite nice atmosphere and cosy inside as it was freezing out there. Beer was nice but not the best as I was thinking. After some food smell, we decided to dine there as well. As asked if we could dine after drinks, first been refused and then they said let’s see what we can do. So at the end we got another table for dine. Ordered our food and no long the hot food was on table. Food was good and had taste. I would like to mention our host names Ali and Monty who gave us great service.

Although being a touristic place, it is also frequented by locals, great sign of its quality! Schnitzel, pork leg and meatballs are incredible, that summed up to its craft beer and the amazing Apfelstrudel, makes this one of the best places in Berlin to enjoy a dinner.

The look from outside it's just beautiful! The interiors are also cool and the food pretty good. Try their mustard, it's a little more spicy than the usual. The prices could be a little lower and the menu a little more complex. Our waitress was kind and friendly but the man in charge that put us to our table wasn't so. I wouldn't suggest the beer meter because the beer was a rather light in taste. The atmosphere was warm and traditional.

The meter beer was cool, the location is nice, the server was friendly, but the foods were not impressive, I'd say. I'm very disappointed with the overall experience, because the operations were mess (the request at reservation was not considered, an extra meter beer was charged by mistake etc) and the staffs inside were extremely rude.

Nice beer and food, but what to do with this when the hosting is not friendly? This typical German place should learn to deal with an international clientele and people with age. Strict restaurant seating rules (at empty tables) can always be presented with grace, in a friendly manner and a smile (and not screaming at 70 year old ladies).

Went on a Sunday morning, there was room to sit but I would still recommend a reservation with a day of anticipation (as they need to confirm it). We had the boiled knuckle and I have to say I enjoyed quite a bit! The amount of food was really nice too! I was not a big fan of the sides but I think it’s my personal preference. Dark beer was surprisingly good as well! Overall, great place, will definitely come back.

Bier wurst und schnitzel! What more do you need after a long day of roaming around in Berlin. Great location and good atmosphere. The only minus was the waitress who didn't speak very well German or English, which caused a minor miscommunication with the drinks. Still recommend!

We visited here for a traditional German dinner and it didn't disappoint - bratwurst and potatoes with sauerkraut! Service was good, tables were nicely spaced so you had privacy and the building itself was lovely to be inside. Decent prices and a nice evening out.

Really great! I sat down at about 4:45 by myself and someone took my order really quickly. Food and drink came out fast. I got the pork schnitzel with potato salad and oh man was it good! A little pricey but it's in a major tourist area so that's to be expected.

Good home brewed beer and good food for a decent price. Beer was without the agressive aftertaste sometimes present at smaller breweries and food was decently filling. Lots of options on beer quantities, pitchers, small medium and large glasses. Prices were honest and waiters welcoming and kind!

Proper German dishes and a nice beer. What else could you wish for? Maybe a bit more welcoming atmosphere. That’s it . Would go there again.

Great spot for German food. I am biggest fan of German food but this was quite solid. We ordered the schnitzel with mushrooms and the bratwurst with sauerkraut. Both dishes were solid. Maybe because I’m not the biggest fan of German food but it wasn’t anything spectacular. The beer flight was quite impressive. It came with 12 beers for 25 euros. You can get a split of light and dark but I wish they specified that the light and dark are just two beers. We were under the impression there were a selection of light and dark beers. The beers were quite good and it definitely pairs well with the food. Overall had a great time here. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a traditional German meal as everything was solid so definitely worth checking out. We wanted to get the strudel but we were too full from the meal and the beers.

Loved the authentic food. Meatballs were full of flavour but not overcooked. The potato salad was refreshing and light. Solid dill influence. The beer was nice and cold. The prices were more than fair.

waiter was very enthusiastic and cheerful but always brought 1 extra beer (marketing ?). I still feel sorry my company left too little tips. I will never go to any bar with them.

Good food, but not great. The beer is the star of the evening here. It was Spargelzeit (asparagus time) when we visited, and those specials were really good. Service was decent. The atmosphere was a bit cramped. The view is hard to beat, though.

There’s a new “regular thing” coming up as we work our Untappd accounts which I absolutely support. Savory food, a couple of games and all the beers that hide here in the city of Berlin. 😁 There aren’t many things that get me as excited as German food in the winter. 🤩 Except when you add friends and a good time to it. 😁 Brauhaus Georgbraeu was an amazing location for the first of hoefully many get togethers of this kind. The menu is small, the food is great! Just the way I like it! 👌🏼😊

Very tasty german food (pork schnitzel and pork knuckle), lovely atmosphere and great service. The place can get busy, so if you are a larger group it’s probably better to make a reservation. The food came our very fast also.

Also klare Empfehlung von mir.

Decent food, tasty beers and a super location with cozy setup both inside and outside. We tried the Meter beer for the third time in a few years and we still like it. It was just a super weird queuing experience this year as it was super crowded in the summer understandably. We asked the first lady and she straight out said no table for 6. Then we didn't go, we asked a few more waiters and had kinda different answers, went inside and there were two tables. In the end we got a table outside in a very crowded Saturday after switched. We enjoyed it afterward, staff was very friendly then. The meat quality seemed a little less than in 2021, but we still like it.

Great pork knuckle to go with some salad. Sausage is to the smaller portion side so if you have a good appetite might want to order extras. Beer is good and comes with 3 different sizes, good for tasting.

Food is amazing, I recommend the apple strudel. One of the best I've tried. Giving just 3 stars because beer orders tend to accumulate at the bar, and they pour the same beer to a different glass before giving it to you to give the impression is just served. A bit dodgy.

Table service; dark beer was excellent as was the pork knuckle - a little less keen on the dumplings although maybe that's just my taste buds. Located on the river and definitely recommend

One of the most greatest brauhaus in Berlin, super delicious food, beer, atmosphere, and service (only one lady wasn't friendly enough)! We had a lot of beer and shnaps, and that's why we paid 220 euro for 3 persons, but it's normal for such amount of alcohol:)) Strongly recommend!

Drank a couple of their own beers, had the herrinsalad and brattwurst. The beer and food was good, the service welcoming, fast and friendly. We wanted two herringsalads but we were advised to just take one because it would be to much to eat in total, they where right. I forgot how large and tasty German portions are. All just screams the friendly traditional German culture. I love this place and everyone who enjoys, or is curious about German culture should try this place.

Great German food, great service and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend to any travellers wanting to experience German Cuisine. We went on a Wednesday and it was busy (we got seated after 10 mins) so may be good to book if weekend

Always a good option for lunch in the centre of Berlin. Typical German dishes, average price for the city, good service. Although frequented by tourists, you can also find locals - usually a good sign.

One of the best Breweries and Restaurants in Berlin, located in the beautiful neighborhood of Nikolaiviertel just next to the river. There is a lovely spacious outdoor area to enjoy the views when the weather is good. They have a variety of speciality brewed beer which come in different sizes and the most famous one is getting the meter long beer, where you get 12 glasses, very suitable for big groups and different events. The brewery inside has a fantastic vibe, you feel like you went back 200 years in time. There is a big menu with all the classic german food, there is something for everyone whether salads, appetizers or main dishes. We got the roasted duck with red cabbage and potatoes, pork schnitzel and german sausages. The duck plate was very delicious and fulfilling, they serve half a duck in the plate, where all the other places I have visited so far only serve a quarter only, and at a very decent price, so this definitely would be my recommendation. The reason for my 4 star review is that I found the service to be slow and the apple pie had a small portion and was overpriced. All in all, it was a very nice experience and I would recommend everyone to give it a try

Perfect for after work with coworkers. Pork knuckle was ok, I tasted better. The duck was amazing. Quantities are generous and quality/price ratio is on order. Only 2 types of draft beer but taste good, I preferred the hell beer. You can share 1.5l pitchers with your friends.

First things first , it’s always great to make a reservation as it gets packed fast, especially now that it’s summer time, the outdoor terrace sitting goes fast! . It’s located in the beautiful Nikolaiviertel area and overlooks the spree. Heard about how good their wiener schnitzel is and decided to give it a try, and I must say not disappointed at all, it was great. I also like the historical context of this establishment and how you can see the brewery right in the restaurant. Also very polite and attentive staff, you must visit if you are in Berlin.

Good traditional German food. Alcohol free beer options are available too! Usually schnitzels are made with veal. But the pork version here is so very good! As good as the veal! Nice bench seatings outside and lunch starts at 12pm onwards. Twitter @imbruisedlee Instagram @iambruisedlee

Very good German restaurant to go to in Berlin. Good variety to choose from even if you are vegetarian. Love their sauerkraut and potato dumplings. It’s reasonably priced. The service was fast and efficient. I would recommend this restaurant. It’s at the heart of East Berlin.

Cosy terrace on a nice sqaure next to the river Spree. Good place to have some local food and a cool beer. We didn't have to wait very long for the schnitzel we ordered. Food and service were good for a reasonable price. A bit more variation on the menu would be nice but you'll find something you like.
