It was my fourth and last visit with this - previously great -restaurant . Food (mezze trio) was disappointing, falafel was dry and too spicy , cauliflower had no taste but burnt flavor . Kabab was nothing special. No one bothered asking why we didn’t eat most of the food. Very expensive dishes not worth the food quality.

Overrated. The food was horrible. The chicken was badly burned so my whole dish tasted like burned meat + we had to eat of a cheap metal looking plate.. which wasnt even warm so the food turned cold quickly. Also way to much cilantro. Only good thing was the view. Told waiter about it the only thing he could offer was cup of coffee. No discount or whatever. Bad service, bad food Avoid. If you want to eat good meat go somewhere else.

Very good food with a great view (if you are looking to stay on that side of the restaurant). The middle eastern flavors are all there with some additional cuisines such south Korean fried chicken. If you are hungry (really hungry) I would recommend the menu for the diversity and taste of all the dishes. Homemade drinks are nice

Very great here, the dishes were creative, tasty and balanced. The staff was very accommodating and totally loving. The open kitchen gives you a good view of how the food is prepared and everything looked great. We were there with our son and he was also taken care of, with something to color in + pens or little fun sessions from Koch, as a little entertainment while marveling at the glass pane of the kitchen. Not to be forgotten is of course the location, which offers a great view over the zoo. Gladly again.

What a wonderful place. Interior was absolutely beautiful. Views are great. Food was so delicious- great flavors! Really enjoyed their iced tea as well, very refreshing.

Food is great, and beautifully served, ambiance is chic and service is good. the food is very tasty and full of flavors and spices but overpriced to a level that somewhat lowered the overall value for money. We came at night but I think the outside view would be amazing during day time.

We have read excellent reviews about this restaurant and we decided to book a table. Reservations in advance is highly recommended as it very popular. I absolutely loved it. Located on top floor with amazing view so make sure you book table by the window facing the zoo or sit out at the terrace. Very friendly, quickly responsive and attentative staff. As for the food absolutely delicious whatever we ordered was tasty. I can recommend it for sure and I am looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Wow...The olives are amazing. I haven't had a taste explosion like this in a long time. The food is simply amazing. The service is great. Very nice and very attentive. Price-performance absolutely justified. I also think it's great that you can look into the kitchen. Thank you for this great meal and the young waiter was also very nice and relaxed. Exactly my thing. 👍

It’s not the best of what the Levantine cuisine has to offer in Berlin by a mile however, it’s very well situated so it’s more of an outing to see Zoo & Berlin from some height. Drinks are really expensive and the lemonade for 9,50 is definitely not worth it! Treat your time at the restaurant like you would at a tourist spot - makes the lack of people warmth and judgement a lot more bearable!

We had a great evening with the group. It's always worth a visit and has been for several years. The quality is still good, the wines are very good and the prices are acceptable. Great staff and service. Be sure to reserve. Will be here again next time we visit Berlin.

It was a completely successful evening. From the homemade lemonade to dessert. I thought the open kitchen was great so you could see how passionate everything was being done there

I was there yesterday with my family and it was just awesome!!! The ambience is so nice and it wasn't too loud. The food was great and the service was very accommodating! Great evening with great food, would definitely come again! Price-performance is perfectly fine! And important: you can take DOGS with you!!! There is also enough space next to and under the tables!

I mean... what can I say. Beautiful place, perfect for a date, night out with friends or even a family dinner. Great variety of dishes for vegans, vegetarians, fish and meat lovers. Top class service, helpful, friendly and charming. And the food, I don't know if I should be melting over the most delicious desserts, rich and creamy hummus or tender prawns and crispy falafels... one of the restaurants to check out on your trip to Berlin and enjoy, without worrying about the prices. Although the place might feel expensive, I thing it's worth it!

Extremely cool place (maybe too much and you might feel out of place). Nice location. You can have the opportunity of enjoying a nice view of the Gedächtniskirche while having dinner. The bathrooms are a must see: they face the zoo and you may end up peeing in front of the monkeys!). We tried the “best of Neni” and I highly recommend this option if you want to try a selection of mezzes, main dishes and desserts. However, beware!! Selection of options here does not mean you will end up hungry. nope. The dishes will make you full so better if you book dinner at 19 or something. If not, go back to your hotel by walk to feel less bloated before going to sleep. The service is amazing (kudos to Quentin) and every time they bring you a plate, they kindly explain you what it is. Totally recommended as an experience to have in West Berlin!

NENI was a great dinner option. The table reservation is required. The food was good, however I think I chose not the best option. My choice was grilled fish which was good, but nothing really outstanding. My partner had steak and he said the cut was ok, a bit chewy. The hummus, pita bread, sweet potato fries were excellent. We ordered dessert too. I got cheesecake and it was nothing special. My partner got sesame dessert which was really good. It’s like an ice cream and sesame seed and nuts. I would like to come back and try there other food options to form an opinion. So far I have a good impression.

Not great. Normally love Israeli food, mix&share principle but most food just not tasty here. Particularly nasty soup (and comes in horrid tin). Service leaves you with half eaten dishes for half an hour. Nice-ish view of Zoo.

Great place at the heart of Berlin! Very good deserts and service was wonderful too. Didn’t try food but coffee and dessert were excellent. Cuisine is from the Middle East and feels Arabic

Celebrated a friends birthday as we were 6 persons and it’s perfect ambience for the occasion. Lively and vibrant with a very green interior, it camouflages and takes inspiration from the zoo. It’s open kitchen concept and they feature a nice terrace overlooking the zoo. You can also order off the monkey bar menu next door which was a plus. We ordered a bit of everything off the menu and the standout items were the Jerusalem Teller regular and vegan. Robust with flavor it was very good. Then I would definitely recommend the Knafeh Dessert. That was Amazing! Service was pleasant and nice but I felt it lacked a bit of attention to detail. The runners and servers could use a bit more communication to ensure a more seamless dining experience. Overall, good night.

If you don't give 5 stars to Neni, i want to know where do you eat. This place is one of the best place I ever been in my life. A wonderful welcome, a superb place, a very good and nice service and incredible food. Everything is special at Neni, everytime I came back to Berlin I'll have a lunch there, for sure.

Amazing place with delicious food. We only took starters like "Mezzo Trio", kebab, and fish, but it was more than enough for two people. We also took 3 desserts, which were absolutely incredible. Here you can also order cocktails from the Monkey bar) The only downside is that it is quite expensive. But the view from the windows, atmosphere, and food compensate for this:) Highly recommend it))

Gorgeous restaurant with modern interior and delicious food. We enjoyed variety of hummus and roasted veggies and meat, all food was paired with good wine. Another point is a magnificent view from the high floor of the building, it would be the best place to invite your beloved one for a dinner.

The place is easy to reach, in city centre, near ZOO, chair available. I had reservation and expected that will sit near windows but I got sit in the middle with not comfortable chair and not stable table. It was not comfortable to sit there so I just ate as fast as I could, pay and go... The view i only saw from the toilet' window glass. Regarding the food I ordered sabbich, very average meal, portion as you can see on the picture, for price 20eur in my opinion too overpriced. The menu was not so big so also not so many choices.. If you ask me if I come there again? I don't think so but maybe for someone would be an amazing experience...

We celebrated my birthday at this place and opted for desserts only, which turned out to be delightful. While the portions were a tad small, the unique flavors of the desserts made up for it. Additionally, the stunning views, especially overlooking Kuda'am, added to the overall experience.

Really great place to go with an awesome view of the city. The food was amazing, my only issue was that the set balagan menu for 2 was too much food for us. Make sure you’re really hungry or have a big stomach :) All the dishes were great though.

Our server Pei-Ling was lovely and always had a smile on her face, food was delicious and the view was amazing!! From our table we could see monkeys and giraffes! For three people we shared 4 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts which was the perfect amount. Food was presented beautifully and flavours were divine. 100% recommended

  • 3/5 Floris van w. 3 months ago on Google • 3 reviews New
The location is great and the service is very friendly. However the Balagan menu was not meeting our expectations. As a family of 4 people this menu was not enough to feed 4 people. We had a mix of 4 starters, 4 main courses and 3 desserts to share but it looked that the sizes of the dishes was for 2 persons. Taste of the food was OK but price/quality was totally not inline. We expected much more quality based on reviews….

Worst experience ever... judgmental level top in this restaurant. So let me start from the beginning on. We booked a table at this restaurant and were very excited to try their Lebanese dishes. The waiter took us to a table. We looked at the menu and decided to order Balagan menu option which is including several starters, mains and deserts. This “balagan” was possible to order min for 2 people and up (as it was mentioned on the menu) So the waiter came, we announced the order. But to our surprise, she said that it would be impossible to order this Balagan menu because we are three people and someone must order a main course on top, otherwise she cannot take the order. P.S this menu option was so big so we weren’t able to finish it. Btw this “menu” costed 112 euro. We were literally shocked.. we explain to waiter that for us, it would be enough food, and we wouldn’t be able to eat more because we were not that hungry, but she insisted to order something else, otherwise she’s not gonna take an order. I will repeat… the menu costs €112 without alcohol. Then the manager came and he confirmed we can order this menu for three people. But after 2 min he came back and said no and this would be possible as long as we’re going to buy something else like wine, they treated us like homeless people who are not able to pay enough money for their meal. It was the worst disgusting disrespectful experience in my life in the restaurant, where manager and waiter tell you what you can eat what you cannot eat, what you have to drink and what is not. I highly not recommend you to come to this place overall maid dishes and starter 6 out of 10. The desserts were amazing, thank you to chefs!! The service is horrible and disrespectful. The manager acted unprofessional and disrespectful. I would never come back after this experience.

Amazing location, I also bring here friends when they come to visit me in Berlin. Usually you need to reserve a table week is advance thought, keep it in mind. Food is good, atmosphere is special, recommend. What I don't like is: if 4 people order the "Best of NENI" menu, all of them should have the chance to try everything. While it happened we got only 3 fish filets.. And when we asked to have the fourth the waiter looked at us like we asked something weird. Don't get that sorry 😅

Although I booked two weeks ahead of time and received a confirmation phone call two days before dinner reservation, I find out that on the day I arrive, our table suddenly is indoors and we had to present a rapid test which NO one (especially the guy who called to confirm a couple of days before the date) told us to get. It doesn’t end here, we were a party of six, five main course dishes arrive and the sixth is not there, the guests all politely waited until the sixth arrived five minutes later. The food was not that great, it was too fried and I wouldn’t repeat this experience. Too overhyped for nothing.

Amazing view, very good food. The restaurant is located at the 10th floor and the view of the park/zoo as well as various Berlin landmarks was quite remarkable. The food was also great - the hummus tasted really good and the desserts were creative and really tasty. Great experience, would recommend.

Mixed feelings. Some of the starters were very delicious. Some were just ok. Meat was very disappointing. Sauces were super good. The place was busy all the time and people could get loud so wouldn't call it cozy.

  • 4/5 Maud de L. 2 years ago on Google
This was such a nice experience! The reason for 4 stars is because of the waiting time and the way of making a reservation. It was hard to make a reservation, the website said there was one spot left, but the woman on the phone told me not. After 30 minutes I got the spot, but first I had to wait in the Monkey bar. Beautiful view, delicious cappuccino and nice crew members. After the cappuccino I was guided to my seat with also a beautiful city view and the food... so good!

Definitely one of Berlin's gems! Great location in the central part of Berlin. The roof-top restaurant has an amazing view over the city and offers a surprisingly well balanced atmosphere - typical berlin hipster meets up-scale fine dining. The food tastes great and portions are big and plentiful. Staff is friendly, welcoming and international. Paymwnt by card is possible. Tip: the place is quite popular, so better book a table regardless of the time of day you plan to visit. Overall - a must-visit Berlin restaurant that I would gladly recommend!

very good restaurant with middle eastern fusion cuisine based on a rooftop! fresh and fine food made with products of good quality (we recommend getting the chicken shawarma) the staff is really kind and always checking if everything is alright. keep in mind that if you want to eat inside you'll probably need to make a reservation in advance :) anyway will definitely come back again

WOW!💥🌞❤️ Neni's location is, to say the least, AMAZING!!!💥🌟🌟 Beautiful decor, beautiful panorama (even on cloudy/rainy days...) beautiful everything! 🌹 And that isn't of course the only reason to go there: very good food (a fantastic bread!)😋, a charming service 🙏🏻 complete the reasons why you should book right now!💥

  • 4/5 Daniela F. 1 year ago on Google
Worth a visit. Amazing view of the zoo and good food. A little bit pricey for what you get in terms of taste and amount but I repeat, definitely worth a visit. :)

  • 5/5 Rodolfo de Campos M. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing food, spectacular view, and great service too. Highly recommend making a reservation (you can do it online). If there is a queue for the elevator, I suggest asking the person in the lobby if you can skip it, since it's normally a queue to monkey bar instead. As for what to eat: I recommend their sabich place with falafel (in the pictures) - it's delicious!!

  • 5/5 Nila H. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing food and service. Love the ambiance as well. We ordered grilled shrimp as a starter and Jerusalem teller as the main dish. Delicious food.

Best middle eastern food I ever tried with such an amazing view. I will definitely visit again. I will recommend chicken shawarma and sesame ice cream.

  • 5/5 Jason 1 year ago on Google
The platters were very nice and there was plenty of food for two persons. Great atmosphere and the restaurant was very busy, we booked last minute and you get a 2 hour table slot which was just enough time to finish our meal. The price was what I would expect for a restaurant in the City and lots of selection for alcohol and food. The restaurant is on the top floor of a hotel took a few minutes to locate.

  • 5/5 Leo N. 9 months ago on Google
You can call it the perfect dining experience. I've been to many places, including roof tops in Istanbul. This places manages to create one of the most delicious vegan menu I have ever eaten and all this while overlooking, through huge glass panels, the Berlin city, including the zoo. Everything was at a top level, but some parts transcend what I thought food tastes like. The aubergine was crunchy from the outside and once bitten into, it burst of fresh flavor. The mint sauce on it gives a surprising third act in this seemingly simple side dish. Next the hazelnut ice cream with halva on a bed of tahin with chocolate and candied pecans. This desert blew my mind. Tahin and halva are usually too sweet and clings too much on everything in my mouth. But in combination with this fresh hazel nut based ice cream it was pure heaven. This place is comparatively expensive and getting a table can take weeks, but it's all worth the effort for 2 perfect hours in your life.
