We had a wonderful time at this authentic German restaurant. The decor was amazing; we loved the their decorations of hundreds of red and silver baubles suspended from branches from the ceiling. I had the Schnitzel special with cream of asparagus soup, 1 pound of white asparagus & parsley potatoes. It was divine! The soup was rich & creamy, with touches of ham to give just the salty need. Schnitzel breading was light & crisp. Meat as tender as I could ask for. The asparagus was divine! White asparagus is not often found a true delicacy for me with a rich hollandaise sauce.

I think this place has potential but we caught them on a bad night. If it wasn't for the positivity of the other reviews I wouldn't want to go back. We waited for a long time between every course. Our aperatives also arrived with our starters. And it wasn't as if the starters arrived quickly. There was a miss communication about our order which could have been handled better. Unfortunately it was also at the end of the meal and the 'fix' didn't seem to have any urgency to it so we cancelled. Honestly it felt as though the waiting staff were too inexperienced and the kitchen staff too overworked. Having said that there were nice things on the menu that we did eat. The natural wine was also lovely. Perhaps we will give it another go.

We had to ask several times about the the drinks we ordered, then we got wrong food and then the main dish for one of us only arrived after the rest were finished with their meals. The waiter then asked about his tip in a fairly rude way. I like the location and the food, but I wouldn’t risk again bringing guests again to this restaurant, the service is simply embarrassing and that is a shame, because it wasn’t like this before.

Portions are really big despite being “tapas” , specially patatas bravas…everything was in terms of flavour ok but nothing delicious…bread with tomato should be already prepared and i would add some garlic as well…and also for croquetas i would add some additional sauce on top just. 3 tapas for 2 are more than enough

This place is wonderful. I went years ago and don’t recall being this impressed. But this time the food was fantastic, some of the best gambas I’ve had in Berlin, and you have to get the patatas bravas. The waiters were helpful and friendly and the heated outdoor terrace lovely.

Enjoyed our evening. Good food, good wine list, friendly staff, casual vibe... Others enjoyed themselves obviously too... Good stuff

D.O. is in my opinion the best restaurant in Berlin. I have tried so much different Spanish food (my partner is Spanish) and D.O. is the best. The arros negre is so good and my favorite! The waiters are very professional and friendly. I am never disappointed and I highly reccomend it.
