I had a coffee here because I needed to sit down after visiting the museums. The waitstaff couldn’t even muster a polite word. What do you want and then walk away. Normally in those cases you’d expect a good coffee. But it seems even that is too much to ask. I don’t know if I’ve had a worse coffee this year. The view is pretty spectacular but do yourself a favour. Order a tea. Surely that would be hard to get wrong.

I would give zero stars if I could. The staff were not very friendly. We weren’t allowed to sit down but we didn’t get a table by anyone either. Many guests got their food before us even though they were seated after us. The food was not worth its high price. Our waiter knew English until it was time to pay. When we didn’t understand what he meant, he took the card reader from us and gave himself a tip even though we didn’t want to pay extra. The only thing I enjoyed was leaving.

Ein nettes Lokal mit einem super Ausblick auf die Spree. Der Service der Mitarbeiter/innen ist gut. Wir wurden schnell bedient. Die Currywurst war sehr lecker. Ein schöner Ort um die Seele baumeln zu lassen.

It is a very noisy, crowded place in an otherwise pretty quiet neighborhood. If their drinks and foods would have been served in another place, by other people, it would have been satisfactory, but at this "Alois Moser" place, it was mediocre food and unfriendly service at best. The worst thing was that I noticed afterwards that they overcharged us (yeah, I know, it's my fault to not have noticed). But it is kind of difficult to believe that this was a mistake or an accident.

I ordered Home made Lemonade, and I receive a drink with red berries flavor (that it’s not mentioned in the menu). Staff not very polite, they just told me that’s the way they do it.

Hier kann man schön die Seele baumeln lassen. Tolle Atmosphäre hier vor Ort am Wasser. Wir hatten das Glück, aus der Ferne Livemusik zu hören. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und wir mussten auch nicht lange auf unser Getränk warten. Man kümmerte sich sehr um uns. Toilettenbereich war auch sehr sauber und ansprechend. Wenn man sich hier gestärkt hatt, kann man in alle Himmelsrichtungen was erleben.

In den Restaurants links und rechts daneben sahen die Speisen echt gut aus, aber hier war es furchtbar!!! Das "Backhendl" (der Name dieses Gerichts war der Grund unseres Besuchs) waren Chicken Nuggets und das Pulled Pork waren eingetrocknete Fleischhäcksel. Geschmacklich unterirdisch. Man kann hier gut ein Getränk kaufen und gegenüber vom Dom sitzen, aber macht nicht den Fehler und esst etwas. Es gibt insgesamt 6 Gerichte. You go here because it’s by the river, not necessarily because it’s particularly good: the A Brez’n didn’t have any butter on it. My friends ordered the original Berliner and the wiener schmäh The original Berliner is okay but a bit small. The wiener schmäh is good. Nothing special, the cranberry sauce is nice and the fries are well salted but it’s nothing special. The beer is cold, waiters were nice. But overall, eh. It’s okay. It’s not bad but compared to everywhere else I’ve been to in Berlin it’s… okay, I wouldn’t come back but I can’t say it’s bad. The Kartoffel-Lauchsuppe is good Overall did I have a bad experience? No did I have a good experience, no either. Very neutral overall.

Very bad service, rude staff.. the only nice thing is where it stands..

OK fries and beer. But the waiters were so rude and when our friend wanted to go to the bathroom she got rundown by the staff like she was an intrudor. Also the main waiter is really rude and blames his other waiters for his mistakes which is super uncomfortable. Only went to this place out of outdoor convenience. But recommend anyone to choose a different place.

Am Sonnabend-Abend, den 16.09.2023 waren wir von der unhöflichen, etwa 40 Jahre alten Service-Hilfskraft dieser Wirtschaft entsetzt. Zwei ordentlich aussehende Touristinnen fragten die Mitarbeiterin höflich, ob sie gegen Bezahlung ihr WC benutzen dürften. Das wurde den beiden Damen im barschen Kasernenton verboten, mit der Aufforderung, das Lokal sofort wieder zu verlassen. Diesen Laden werden wir ab sofort meiden. Es gibt bessere und nettere Restaurants...

Food is edible but bland and incredibly overpriced however it is a nice place to sit Wait staff incredibly rude,forced tips, extra 2 euro added to bill when using credit card with no explanation or warning , refused tap water and charged 7.50 for a bottle of still water. Walk 5 minutes down the road there are plenty of other options !

Caution: Some other reviews mentioned that a waiter here does some shady act: charge you more money and then claim it's tip if you find out. Happened to us today too. Stay away from this place.

I definitely don’t recommend. 1. Food. We took Munich snack for two and it wasn’t anyhow special. Felt like I could just go to supermarket and get the same meal. 2. Staff Unacceptably rude waiter. He was insisting that we have to take more drinks and tip him more. Other than that, I’ve experienced a fishy racist joke. 3. View is great

The food is grand, but service was seriously POOR. 14 people left while we were there. We waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken and then 30 minutes for the food to come. It seems to be down to poor management imo. Better go back to pen and paper, number the tables and designate staff to particular areas. A couple of the staff were very nice, but I certainly would not recommend.

The waiter was so rude, that we left before ordering. I quote: ‘where are you from? Because this is Germany and I don’t have time’. We were only seated for 20 seconds. Cute place tho.

I order just one beer. I was about to order food but then I decided to read reviews first. The place it’s in a privilege position. However, it was clear that the staff was waiting for charge me for the service. Waiter was unsure of how much should he charge me, in the end it was about 20% (a bit too much I think). Half litter of beer = 6€50. To the owner I suggest you to try to improve service in order to have a bigger ratings here. Tourists (like me) read reviews on Google…

Wir können die negativen Eindrücke der anderen Schreiber in keiner Weise bestätigen. Waren heute zu dritt ca. 13:30 Uhr dort,wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und obwohl gut gefüllt, wurde uns ein Platz auf der Terrasse (Blick auf den Dom) ermöglicht. Unser Kellner (Patrick) war sehr zuvorkommend, schnell und aufmerksam. Er nahm geduldig auch etwas abweichende wünsche auf,und alles wurde auch so von der Küche realisiert. Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch optisch sehr ansprechend. Preislich absolut im Rahmen. Sehr leckeres Bier 🍺. Der Innenbereich ist die moderne Interpretation der Almhütte.. ohne gemsenschädel und ohne verstaubte dreschflegel. Sehr ansprechend. Toilettenbereich sehr sauber, Papierhandtücher und Seife vorhanden. .. wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.... Augenscheinlich sind alle Kellner fleißig.... Patrick ist der beste 😜 mit ihm könnt ihr in 6 Sprachen palavern .. Mandarin lernt er Grad.

The food was very tasty although "touristy" selection - but I am a tourist so that is fine haha. Very convenient location to Museum Island. Reasonable pricing given location. Would eat here again.

Food was good, the waiters demanding a tip was unusual (and/or uncomfortable) for Germany and Europe as a whole. The waiter at first didn't want to accept my card because of my age

We had a Holzfäller Schnitzel and Knödel with a Maracuja Spritz and a latte. The food was delicious and even though it doesn't look like a big portion, we both were filled. Delicious. The staff and manager were super friendly! 👌🏻✨

I was sent away into the pouring rain after starting to breastfeed my crying / hungry 4 months old baby on the terrasse. Apparently this is not within the policy of this place... On the positive side: I forgot my backpack when rushing to find another place for breastfeeding. They took it inside so I could collect it later on.

Good breakfest! We try breed with egg and... It was really good. Coffee was even better. Nice and really friendly staff. Good place middle of ewerything✌️

Von der Werbung verführt und von der Realität eingeholt. Einmal und nie wieder. Schnitzel zu dunkel, Soße zu flüssig. Sah aus, als wenn die Reste raus mussten. Personal unaufmerksam. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Food is good, typically Germany style. I like the tea with real ginger mint and lime. But when you have to pay for your food, there is even no option ‘would you like to pay with card or cash.’ Only cash immediately. 2euro tips was added when I pay with card, if there is any good service, I can pay more. But I feel no good service at all. I don’t even show any rude or disrespectful to the waiter. Come with smiles leave with angry.

I do not recommend this place. Potatoes are salted to the point of impossibility, sausages are ordinary from a nearby store. The schnitzel is also bad. And the prices do not match the quality and taste.

Service was really good, and although the waiter was under pressure, he was really polite & efficient. It's a lovely location. Alas, I really wanted to like the food, but I couldn't. I had the Shrimp salad and I really don't recommend it. I looked over the ingredients and it was Shrimp, cucumber, red union, garden herbs, lemon, 'captures' olive oil, lime cream and croutons. I got no sense of dressing, it was all chopped into tiny pieces (almost like it was put in a food processor), molded into a ramekin dish with the croutons on top. And it didn't taste good. I'd say, rework that dish, or take it off the menu. I love prawns/shrimp, but I wouldn't eat this again, nope. All that I could taste was the raw onions to be honest.

Amazing location generic food. Could visit again for coffee and views. Service polite but a bit on the slow side. Nice atmosphere along the river overlooking the Berliner Dom. Worth a visit.

We stopped in for a snack around lunchtime. Had a really nice time, great service from Budi!! He made some menu suggestions for us, super friendly, great English (we are those people that travel to other countries and don't know the language). Definitely recommend the Grancafe when you are visiting the museums!

Horrible service, got ignored by the waiters and our coffee and lemonade was really boring. Never got around to ordering our food before we had to go

The breakfast was good. Prices are reasonable. I like the environment. Service was good too.
