Great place for a Sunday brunch. We went early since they don’t accept reservations. Staff is super friendly. The eggs Benedict were on point, however the croissants ‘french toast style’ were nothing special.

Delicious place to have brunch. The food is very very tasty, coffee is great. The service is kind and friendly. The patio is beautiful. I have to try eating in the inside part, but I’m sure is beautiful too. The Croque Madame was fantastic. It gets busy on the weekends, so be prepared to wait a little bit in line if you are with a larger group or if you arrive at rush hour :). They accept card payment but not separated.

What an amazing brunch place. From the street it doesn’t look like much at all, just a big door. But once you enter the place, it looks amazing, especially their back garden table area. The staff were really friendly and fast and they preferred to speak in English which was fine by us. We were unable to get a seat in the garden as it was packed, but inside was perfectly fine. The food and drinks menu just sounds different and delicious as soon as you look at it. The food came pretty fast and it was so fresh, delicious and comforting. It wasn’t too expensive either, we paid about €42 for 2 drinks and 2 meals and it was so worth it, I definitely recommend this place. Be prepared for waiting in a queue to be seated as there were always customers waiting for a table, obviously for good reasons.

Lovely brunch spot ☕️ We came here for breakfast 🍳 The menu was very limited and only had a couple of different options for breakfast. But they had lunch options too! The cappuccino had way too much milk and barely tasted like coffee ☕️ However the Americano was very good! The croissant 🥐 French toast was definitely something new to me and tastes absolutely delicious! 💖Many fruits 🍎 and it got served while the croissant was still warm! 🫶🏼 Definitely recommend! The matcha 🍵 cookies 🍪 were really dry and super small, rich flavour of matcha but not worth a try. The sourdough bread 🥖 was way too expensive for what it was (Aufbackbrötchen). Egg 🍳 still good tho! 🤝🏼 Overall the staff was fast but not really friendly. Everything was definitely overpriced.. Also couldn’t find the beautiful staircase that was advertised in the Google reviews. We had a nice time but there is definitely space for some improvement 🤝🏼💘

My gals and I stopped by for a brunch catch up and found the interior super cool with the giant tree sculpture. The food menu is quite eclectic with Japanese and traditional western brunch items. I would say it’s just fusion food. I had the onigiri and would highly recommend it. Only downside is the mimosa pitcher. We found it flat with no fizzy champagne taste and only juice flavor. We even made a comment to our server but they didn’t Switch it out or anything. All in all unique interior, interesting menu and okay service.

Always wanted to try this for years and was pretty satisfied overall. I think many have commented on the acoustics that it’s indeed a bit hard to talk inside, but the service and food made up for that. Had the Teishoku set and it was nice, although still looking for a place in Berlin that serves Bulldog sauce with the Katsu. Nice hidden spot for weekend brunch in Mitte.

Amazing service! We were 7 and I had no clue what to order and chef was passing by and I showed the previous review on google maps of 'Bistecca al Pepe Verde' (~20euro) and he said that they don't serve that dish (even plates were different), but if I really want it he will serve it even better than it was on the picture, and it was super delicious! The sauce underneath the stake was super tasty!

(Translated by Google) In my eyes the tastiest pizza in Berlin. I've been going here regularly for about 2 years. The staff are very friendly and it's just fun to eat there :). The price-performance ratio is really very good. The pizza margerita is very, very tasty, also with extra rocket. 😋

We went there on a Sunday for brunch, make sure you arrive early (like 9:30 / 10) The food is really great, don't get the potato gratin if you are not hungry tho, it's a lot! The staff is really friendly as well, really worth it. You can sit both inside and outside

Very typical “Berlin hip” breakfast spot with only non-German-speaking staff (which isn’t a problem and quite common in Berlin). The restaurant gets very busy so be prepared to wait. If the weather is good there is lots of seating outside. We would have rated it four stars if it hadn’t been for the very cold staff who seem to think they are doing you a favor when taking your order and serving you the food. That made the experience pretty mediocre even if the food was quite okay. It is very pricey for the size of the servings and the quality of the food. There are many great breakfast options in Berlin so we will try something different next time.

I really love this brunch spot! First, you should make a reservation if you're planning on brunch on a weekend. It can get pretty crowded and you'll be in line for a while as service tends to be slow when they're busy. The staff are very friendly and can speak English. Though it does take a while to get your order in and the bill. You can pay with card. The food is really good and creative. I'd highly recommend the eggs Benedict (not pictured here, trust me), made with wasabi and their croissant french toast. The french toast were little mini crunchy delicious flakey goodness. The fruits were fresh and complimented the pastry well. The atmosphere is something to marvel at. It's got a little nature vibe going and is quite lively. Definitely worth a visit!

One of the best service I have ever got in a restaurant in Europe until now. :) Amazing staff. You should always reserve before going there. Very delicious food. Ambience is great as well. Outdoor seating is amazing :)

This cute little gem is absolutely amazing. The lady that does the seating is an absolute sweetheart and makes you feel welcome right away. The food is so delicious and they offer different types of food with plenty of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The atmosphere and whole vibe are just so amazing and an experience in itself. I would always come back and absolutely recommend going there, you will not regret it!!!

Believe the hype! The food is excellent, original twists on every dish. The location is something, an old Jewish Girl's School that is an architectural marvel. Service couldn't be friendlier. Bookings highly recommended.

Absolutely made a right choice walking all the way from our hotel to look for this charming cafe. Enjoyed the food thoroughly, loved the biscuits in the biscuits benedict dish. Really yummy compared to the typical English muffin. Ricotta hotcakes and potato gratin were good too. Service was fast. Nice ambience for the Gram. Would recommend.

One of the most instagram restaurants in Berlin. There are always people waiting outside the restaurant, so prepare to wait during weekends or meal time. The interior is really dedicated, and the staffs were also friendly. But the food is unsatisfactory and way too pricy. I had an eggs benedict. The first few bites were okay, but it turn out to be greasy at the end. I do not like the spinach salad that comes with the main dish as well. It really tasteless:( I feel like paying for the atmosphere not the food.

Everything from entrance to decoration, staff and of course the food were amazing! I went there with a friend without a reservation but we were lucky to be seated quite fast. The staff was so heartwarming and genuine. As in the photo (at least in my opinion) you can already guess the quality of their dishes and the taste really was out of this world! I will definetly come again to try the other dishes.

(Translated by Google) We didn't feel welcome. Every request that deviated even slightly from the card was denied, so flexible = 0 eyes were rolled, the prices are very steep for nothing special. Freshly squeezed juice is very expensive and we are 99% sure that it is not freshly squeezed, I always drink one and know the taste of the juice except for the packaging. We have selected this restaurant as it was one of the coolest in Berlin. SO WRONG!!. The ambience very average. The food.. what to say; a moderate fast food taste with nothing inspiring. We ate the chicken with the crispy salad (1 out of five) eggs with chicken and rice (very expected taste (2 out of 5) and a fried rice dish (Still I do not understand what food was that). The bill was ok (49 Euro) with two glasses of wine, but I would prefer to pay 80 and to enjoy it. Lastly they served us in 10 min everything we ordered and we finished in 35 min (like a fast food). Very bad decision and I would never trust the so called ”info platforms” (It is probably a tourist trap). Not recommended at all!!

Good coffee, had the benedict sundae- why... why do you put it in a glass!?!? It felt so wrong to eat it with a spoon... couldnt finish it. Egg white was glibbery as well.. will maybe come back if they change that.

Had a big family dinner here. And the food was loved by all generation. When we arrived, the restaurant was packed with people. The owner was very generous to offer us a table in her other restaurant (just 15 steps away). The pizzas are thin, crisp with generous topping, the spaghetti is al dente, and quite a huge portion.

Great Italian restaurant. Besides the great food (try the truffles pasta), the entire team is italiano, which gives the place an authentic vibe. They always patient with the kids and treat them with respect, which makes this place very family friendly. 6 of 5 stars 😊

Excellent Italian food with a classical Italian service. The lunch menu untill 3pm is really cheap. The fresh fish is great. And also the new Greek restaurant on the other side of the street by the same owner is really tasty, wuality food and most importantly, a good feeling after leaving.

Very nice place with the friendliest staff and owner. The food is the traditional Italian food you’d expect and delicious plus it comes out pretty quickly. They also have seasonal dishes that’ are always worth trying. If you plan to go in the PM, I’d make a reservation as they’re always booked.

(Translated by Google) There is a very inexpensive lunch menu that has everything (drink, salad, main course, coffee and dessert)! The food is always tasty and quick at the table. However, the staff is a bit pushy and played very Italian, not very authentic and more like a tourist service. After a while, the whole “buongiorno bella” can get on your nerves. But if you like it, you will definitely pay a good tip. Best spot to a have a brunch! They are so kind and polite. The food was excellent! We had to sit on the bar table during our meal (because they were preparing to a private event - they told us earlier so totally correct) and because of this inconvinience we got a free dessert. Absolutely recommended! 😊

Such a great place! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the interior design is divine (super natural and pleasing), and the food is super delicious. We had an avocado-edamame toast, which was ok, nothing special and ribs with cauliflower pure and it was sooo good! Highly recommend it. The cheesecake and coffee are also worth trying. All in all, highly recommend this place

Lovely Japanese inspired to have breakfast/ brunch. Prices are in the high side but not crazy. Service was great and my wife loved it so much. I loved the vintage decoration with old items. (See pics) But obviously the most important thing is the food and it was great. I was shocked that on a Tuesday at noon we had to wait 30 minutes to have a free table. Miraculously, after us, tables started to be free. Definitely, a lovely place to enjoy an “out of the box” breakfast/brunch.

One of the definite places to revisit in Berlin. I can’t forget the taste of the hot cakes in my mouth. Recotta cheese did its magic! We ordered the egg Benedict and gratin as well. Both were on point. Indeed/Truly it is the House of Wonders.

Make a reservation!! This place fills up quickly. Their salads are deliciously crafted, highly recommend the biscuit benedict with a side of potato gratin. Their avocado toast on zucchini bread is the perfect combination between sweet, spicy and savory. Try their homemade sourdough bread, you won't be disappointed! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone working was extremely helpful.

Second time been here, everything was nice except the Egg Benedict wasn't that tasty for me (from an Asian taste perspective) but the Teishoku (only available for lunch) was perfect. The cocktails (I prefer Yuzu Sour over Elderly Bloom) and cakes are must try, cheesecake and chiffon are both delicious ✨ *If you ever try Elderly Bloom, make sure to try squeezing a bit of lemon to balance out the sweetness

I cannot recommend the eggs Benedict enough. This is my favorite restaurant I have been to in Berlin. Even though it was clearly a popular spot, there was still room as it was a big place so I was seated immediately. All the food looked delicious, it was hard to pick one dish. I will be coming back. Can't recommend enough.

Stopped in for brunch on our last day in Berlin. Was a nice place tucked away in a museum building. We made reservations (recommended) the day before and they still had place around 11h. Staff was quick to seat us and we ordered the homemade biscuits eggs benedict with salmon and scrambled eggs, both with tomato soup. We started with coffees (no complaints) and ended with mimosas (average) and a choclate cake that topped off the meal well. Everything was delicious, but the mimosas were average and the pomegranate seeds inside were more of a hindrance. Staff was attentive and the ambiance was very comfortable.

The eggs Benedict were fantastic! The hint of wasabi in the hollandaise sauce brings a fresh flavor to brighten up the dish. The bacon biscuits were the perfect moister level. The hot chocolate was nothing to write home about. Felt like it was just cocoa and milk. There were lumps of unmixed cocoa powder throughout. Nothing extraordinary there. The bread pudding was a nice consistency and wasn’t too dry. Be careful when looking for this spot. I missed the entrance since it’s so inconspicuous.

Absolutely love this place! It is a MUST for me, whenever I travel to Berlin. I’ve tried different things each time, and I have never been disappointed. I also enjoy grabbing an extra bowl of their soup of the day. So yummy! Out-of-the-box Japanese dishes, beautiful interior and quick, friendly staff. And a LOT of plants, we were wondering who is in charge of watering them. Corona : most waitresses were wearing masks, it was a bit difficult to keep enough distance to other guests.

A quiet, cozy and comforting ambience that reminds me of my uncle's greenhouse back in Hawaii. It makes you feel like you want to spend the entire day here. The food is done humbly and perfectly with attention to detail in both flavor and aesthetic. I have every intention of returning however many times it takes to eat my way through the entire menu.

In my opinion: the best brunch in Berlin. The eggs Benedict are out of this world. The breakfast menu is huge. Notes: they do not accept pets or make reservation for brunch. You have to be there when they open (especially on weekends) and, the smaller your party the better. Also, in order to take the breakfast menu, everybody in the table must take it. Tip: ask for at least one sandwich if you order the breakfast menu, so you can take it away in pretty nice paper bags (in case you are too full).

Visited here with friends on a recent trip to Berlin and all I can say is wow! Every dish was presented impeccably, the flavours were incredible and the service was swift and warm. The Chicken Pate at the Vanilla Cheesecake were two particular stand outs. For the quality of food and drink the bill was very reasonable, we absolutely loved it. It’s a must if you are visiting the city and love great food I will definitely be visiting again. This place is fairly busy but has a wonderful atmopshere. The food did not take that long to come and the service was good. Just a minor thing is that the menu is limited and had some food that was a mix fusion of Japanese and Western. But the food we ordered was on top. If you are looking for brunch in Berlin, this is a place I will recommend.

I was there a few weeks ago, literally came to that place more than 4 times during my 4-day stay in Berlin. Tipping culture is really tricky in Berlin, I live in France btw. The first few times was really lovely experience, amazing food, good drinks, and the few Japanese guys there were really friendly. My friend and I had a huge meal in our last day in Berlin, of course we decided to go to our “favorite restaurant”. We ordered a lot of food and drinks, and the total consumption was approximately 110 euros. So I required to pay with my credit card. After payment, I said thank you, but didn’t notice that there is a tip column down there, until the tall waitress gave me a super dirty look, super dirty that my whole experience in Berlin started to feel unsettling. I asked my friend, who is Belgian, do we normally tip here. Eventually I left over 10 euros in cash on the table. I didn’t tell my friend about the dirty look, she was still quite happy about the whole experience, I wasn’t gonna destroy her good feelings with my experience. It’s been a few weeks now, it still confuses and upsets me just thinking abt it.

This place is amazing. We had to wait for 20 minutes to get a table but that’s okay. The food was delicious, we had croissant toast and 2 eggs with potato gratin. (Translated by Google) Unfortunately I will deduct 1 star today. We waited downstairs and the staff gave a table to a couple who came after us. Apparently you would have to register upstairs first to get a table. Unfortunately nothing like it was written anywhere. I'm pregnant and had to wait even longer, even though I said we'd been there before. The couple understood and wanted to let us in, but the service staff didn't want to accept that. The food was delicious again. But since the service was this time this time, even though I also said that nothing was written downstairs, we were not met. After the lockdown, I will no longer visit the café. I think it's a shame, especially because I have always brought in many customers and always had to recommend them. Maybe if I weren't pregnant I wouldn't be as sensitive about this. But if I need 40 minutes to get there and then have to wait 40 minutes for a table because there is a misunderstanding down there at the entrance and it doesn't say that you have to register upstairs, then I don't need to go there again. Apparently they don't care about loyal customers. I think walk-in customers count more. Leider stand nirgends so etwas.

When I came into the restaurant, one lady (probably the boss) did not wear mouth and nose protection, which did not change in the course of the evening, with the other one it was hanging under the nose. The distance between the guests was 0.0. In addition, it was permanently cold around the legs / feet. Waiter couldn't recommend any dishes from the seasonal menu, and he didn't even know some of them. He then wanted to ask a colleague, but never came back with any information. Bread and olives were acceptable at the beginning but nothing special (you can get them everywhere), you had to ask for oil / balsamic / pepper etc first, bruschetta was also rather mediocre, but main courses were good. There are just too many (good) Italians in Berlin to be mediocre. Easily one of the best breakfast meals we’ve ever had. Everything was absolutely delicious. The place is also very cool and has a good vibe to it and to top it all off, the service was great as well. We felt welcome and were very happy to have chosen the place.

Unfortunately tasteless food, we had the Benedict eggs and bread tasted like old bread and a little bit sour. The don plate even though had sauces was completely tasteless but the pork was really good. A little bit pricey for this, it seems they lowered the quality.

Kind and welcoming service, i took the french toast croissant which was tasty but for me it needed some maple or something more, eggs Benedict were great, chocolate cake and matcha were just ok

What a great place! It’s very busy so we needed to wait 45 minutes so they took our name and went somewhere else for lunch and after 45 minutes we got our dessert at HOSW. And it was delicious! The chocolate cake is the best!

Cool Service Nice food Interesting and flavor food! Will be back Also fun and we had lots of cocktails Try the mezcal mule Need to ask for it off the menu

Great interior, super friendly and helpful staff, delicious plates. We enjoyed 2 of the Japanese lunch options and the Benedict eggs on cake, and the 3 mimosa pitchers . Despite a misunderstanding on our reservation, they managed to find a solution to seat all four of us. Best to come well in advance to the time you'd like to eat so you can put your name down and return by the time they have space. For us it was 45 minutes. Will definitely come back here.

Really cute little cafe and restaurant in an old school house. You almost don’t see it from the outside. Great Japanese cake varieties and a wonderful cafe. Fun place and decor.

Great staff. Amazing menu. The croque madame came scrambled eggs for some reason. The eggs Benedict with biscuits are a treat. The fried chicken felt a bit random on the menu. Overall lovely place to have a conversation.

A very cute cafe around . The interiors were very antique and attractive. This place was on the list since a very long time and finally we had the chance to go. Loved the vibes , music and hospitality of the place. Coffee was great. Just the washroom is situated outside the cafe for which you have to walk a little on the opposite side. Other than that everything was great. Had a good time.

Really good place to take a breakfast, if you don’t reserve be sure to arrive early because it gets crowded really fast. Coffee is really good but the sweets are a little bit expensive and not out of the ordinary. Also for the moment the stairs where everyone takes picture is not located is the current building because of renovation.

Found best croissants and magical atmosphere in one place. Definitely highly recommended to visit, even if u need to wait few hours in a line. U won’t regret! This place will give u a lot of inspiration and calm. The only minus: slow and a bit lost service. Otherwise everything is nice. Enjoy;)

Hidden behind a massive door that looks like a school or university building, this Japanese style cafe/restaurant offers quality delicious food. The staff were friendly and attentive, food was tasty, warm and served quickly. The atmosphere was great, and although mostly people in their 20s would be suitable for any age. Highly recommend for breakfast.

Visited this place after seeing such good reviews and recommendations. We went in with high expectations and we were not disappointed. Lovely selection of breakfast dishes and everything was delicious. Very friendly service and a wonderful environment. A little expensive but definitely worth it.

Lovely place, bit busy on the weekends, but worth the wait, amazing staff and more amazing food, especially japanese fusion food is what attracts me to this place every now and then. Outdoor seating is beautiful but only accessible in summer months, central location of Orienburger Tor is also a plus. Much recommended for your next visit to Berlin or this area. Don't forget to treat yourself with their deserts.

The place is really amazing, the dishes are pretty basic and there is not special about them. But the they are tasty.

The comfortable and cozy decorated restaurant offers great choices for brunch and Japanese fusion dishes. The Eggs Benedict is highly recommended. The dish was very filling and tasted very nice. The match latte was also creamy and nor too sweet. Reservation might be a good choice if comes in a big group.

A must for brunch in Berlin! The biscuit Benedict is simply amazing! Haven’t had something so unique. Recommend adding the potato gelatin with it. We also tried the vegetarian option. And it was equally good. Both the tomato soup and salad are good. The ambiance is top notch. Some servers are excellent. However reception, seating and service left us wanting. Some cleanup left a trail of dust on the guests sending them flying with their food and the response from the server was the other table is reserved for guests who were nowhere to be seen. Hopefully this was an one off issue.

Had this place recommended to us and it did NOT disappoint for a nice brunch. The croissant French toast was delish, the hotcakes were amazing, the latte was perfectly made. The place has a really nice vibe as well. Really enjoyed it and will look forward to coming back!

Japanese Brunch with a beautiful interior design. A place to enjoy good food with family and friends! Better to make a reservation before; otherwise, you will wait. On the weekend, you can expect to wait a lot if you haven't had any reservations before.

The setting is quite something! You really feel like you are dining in nature surrounded by trees, creepers and birds. It was crowded when we arrived there and it didn't seem to die down at all. I would recommend making a reservation in advance. The service was good, the staff were polite but it takes an eternity for them to bring out the food though no matter how effortless the dish your ordering for is. Now as for the food itself, it didn't strike a chord with me. It was not bad but it wasn't exceptional as the reviews made it seem. But definitely on the paper they make it look fancy. And frankly the price is a bit exorbitant for the taste. I really liked the matcha tea but the egg Florentine wasn't the best I've had. Somehow the combination of wasabi with hollandaise sauce didn't sit well with me. I'd probably go back again for drinks but definitely not for breakfast. :)

The cheesecake was the real wonder. 5/5 The lentil soup was also super good with the perfect creamy texture. Iced Cafe latte was very not very good. But the rest of food was good. Quite nice ambience and good service if you can bear the wait time!

A perfect setting for laid back breakfast and brunch in Berlin! The cafe retains a certain old school charm with classic breakfast options. I would love to see some more vegetarian options on the menu though. The matcha latte and coffee did not disappoint. Staff is so helpful and kind.

I was excited to visit. I’ve seen this restaurant all over Pinterest and I was excited to see the stairwell. Unfortunately, they are no longer in the building that has the stairwell. The new build is beautiful, with an exhibit upstairs. The atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxing. The food and drinks, delicious..

The food was very good: tasty, professional. We enjoyed it very much. Definitely 5 stars for the food. Also a very good croissant for a reasonable price. However the flat white coffee was so-so. But overall a very good experience, I recommend visiting it.

I liked the food, the ricotta alternative pancakes were really tasty. The egg dishes as well. The coffee also. But to be honest, I expected more of the place that people queue to find a table. I didn't see the place inside, maybe it's more beautiful, bit outside it is just an interior terrace with tables.

Just incredible food. We had a lovely breakfast here and the food was incredibly tasty and the portion sizes were huge. Its such a lovely, calm space in such a beautiful historic building. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. But the breakfast itself would have made me give 5 stars anyway. I had the vegetarian Biscuit Benedict and despite feeling so very full afterwards, I would have eaten it again in a heartbeat. Glad we booked in advance as it definitely got a lot busier as the morning went on.

👍 The queue can get really long in a very short amount of time. We were lucky and waited for about 5 minutes before placing our order.
