We didn't feel too welcome when we arrived. We hope it was just an off day maybe due to heat. We were seated on a dirty table. We ordered drinks and even when the drinks came noone bothered taking the empty glasses from previous guests from our table or to wipe the table. The food was very delicious though and the menu is big. It would be nice to serve the fresh juices with ice and a spoon or straw.

Only positive thing is the atmosphere of the restaurant: it’s really cosy and relaxing. Prices are unreasonably high for the quantity and quality of food received. I took the Assorti Gorki pelmeni/vareniki and I was not satisfied at all. Portion was small, the filling of the dumplings was very basic and not tasty. Moreover the service was quite bored and unfriendly, even after we left the tip.

Datscha is a gem, unpretentious and still very much the old friedrichshain. The food is good so are the drinks, the service was friendly and efficient! Let’s go to these places more before they vanish!

It’s delicious and the staff was very nice and welcoming. The portions were big and the food was so good, however, it was my first time eating Russian food so I can’t compare it to other places. I really liked the ribs, the meat was falling off the bone!! The fries were very good, I wonder if they’re homemade. The BBQ sauce is one of the best I’ve ever had and it was so sweet! I tried borscht too and it was very tasty, I didn’t know beetroot could taste that good. Liked the interior too, super cute

A wonderful place to have a big portion brunch in Berlin. Also might be the only place which serves juicy ribs as part of their breakfast/brunch menu. The food was delicious! The flavors were on point and the quantities were big. Not sure how authentic the dishes were but in terms of taste they seemed very pan European and western influenced. But overall a great place to enjoy some really high quality brunch.

Got the 'weekend for 2' brunch to share. Generous portions of healthy breakfast bites. Loved the curd pancakes with cream. The trout mousse was smoky and delish! Mama's breakfast was amazing!

Hier gibt's sehr feines Frühstück!! Alles sehr sehr lecker, frisch und gesund. Service freundlich. Würde auch gern die warmen Speisen probieren. Vielleicht beim nächsten Besuch. Die Musik empfand ich als etwas zu laut.

I forgot how comforting and heart warming Russian food can be! Especially on a cool rainy day. This wasn't the best Russian restaurant I've ever been to, but definitely closer to 5 stars than 4. The menu is quite extensive, and part of it is not so Russian... I went for Russian classics: Solyanka soup, Beef Stroganoff, and Blini (Russian pancake) with almond curd and berries. Everything was well made, delicious, and came with a smile :) There were a few points for improvement - I found the food not warm enough, and the dessert had some non-edible ingredients (like stems of mint and berries), but hey... I'm just being petty now. I really enjoyed it. The portions were good, and all three dishes cost €30, which is totally reasonable. Like!

Serves a very nice brunch with a Russian/eastern European twist. Something different and a big plus is the fact that you can book a table in advance. Brunch in Friedrichshain is otherwise usually associated with waiting in lines.

Yummy Russian soul food, with a modern twist. The borscht tasted totally home made, and the mixed veggie appetizer was mouthwatering. Fast friendly service with a smile and no problem paying with a credit card. Highly recommended!

Kitchen is open late and they take cards - that's the main criteria that was satisfied. Beyond that, the Russian eats were fab! First time trying this kind of food, but all the elements were familiar: beets and other veggies in the borscht; potato, cheese and mushroom in the wareniki. So rich, delicious and thoroughly satisfying.

Супер! Yummy lunch at Дача ❤️ a perfect mix of traditional staples you crave and new culinary trends, with lots of vegan options. Our server was sooo nice and patient with us, as we navigated communicating in multiple languages 🙈 We will be back! 😋

We were two and had a mix of good and average experiences. Very kind service helping to find seat during heavy rain. Aubergine dish was rubber like. Salad was nice and refreshing taste. Drank the cooled Beluga Vodka. Enjoy and do wise choices

It’s the same group managing Pasternak, 100 grams bar, etc. I’ve yet to have a bad experience at any of the spots. Always a good time. Datscha features Slavic/ Russian cuisine paired with some modern twists. So you have Blini, syriniki, kyiv Chicken, and Borscht on the menu but also healthy bowls and some Mediterranean items. I always usually go with the quark Syrniki and veggie Borscht. My boyfriend took the Masel topf and he really liked it. Portion size is fair at this spot so definitely recommend.

Slow service and not super Russian in terms of the menu, lots of hummus and Georgian food on the menu. However! My Aubergine dish was very very tasty, and I was skeptical due to the vegan cream cheese, but it was very nice! :) Definitely more expensive than a few years ago.

This was the perfect brunch! We ordered a few dishes and shared amongst the four of us and each dish was amazing. We tried the sirniki quarkpfannkuchen, kalbfleisch borschtsch, pelmeni hänchenfleisch, wareniki gratin, blini rotebete, and a few drinks! The espresso martini and moscow mule both were tasty. The borscht was probably the best I‘ve had before and everything was presented so well. We would definitely reorder everything we tasted there! The outdoor seating can be covered and heated as well. We also got some vodka shots on the house from the friendly staff!

we went for dinner and it was incredibly noisy inside. The food is definitely pricey and while delicious, I think its quite overpriced. Staff werent that interested and we had to move around quite a bit. Went for brunch another time and that was way better: their food was delicious and coffee also wonderful. Wouldnt go there during dinner again, but for brunch - yes.

One of my favourite brunch spots. Delicious food, fair prices, fast service, good company coffee ... Nothing more needed. Can get a bit loud on a weekend, but same as anywhere ok a Sunday morning!

This is one of my favorite brunch places in Berlin, not only because the food is delicious and the portions are very well served, but also because once you’re inside it feels like a time travel to some decades ago. There so much thought put into each detail of the decoration, be it the colorful wallpapers, the mismatched lampshades, or the crazy pictures on the walls. If you want to spend some cozy time and enjoy nice east European food, this is the place to go!

We only had breakfast (good food, well presented and generous portions). I’m sure lunch & dinner is great as well. The staff is super friendly and the whole place is well decorated. I recommend and will come again if I can

A cozy and warm space with incredible food and service. Many veggie dishes too if you’re looking for options for everyone. Also, an affordable restaurant!

Very delicious!! Arrived just around 11am on a Sunday and were lucky to score a table, but when we left around 2pm there was even a line outside of people waiting for a table! The breakfast was fresh and delicious and portion size is perfect for 2 people! And big plus: it’s served until 4pm!! Wohoo! Make sure your breakfast / brunch contains the Sirniki and the berry cream (Schmand) served along side. Service was friendly and - well busy. Completely understandable. I would definitely recommend this place, would actually like to give 4.5 stars if I could :) now can’t wait to come back and try their dinner some time!

Large variety of choices regarding breakfast. Every dish that we tried was delicious. Both inside and outside areas are very beautiful to enjoy your meals. Lastly, the service was attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend it :)

It is a lovely place, with its own, distinctive feel, and a broad choice of moderately priced, traditional Eastern European meals. I had breakfast there, not exactly a staple in Ukrainian and Russian cuisine - eggs benedict on a brioche with salmon, fruit and vegetables and sauce hollandaise plus rhubarb compote. The drink was delicious and tasted just like at my mom's - with a slight tartiness balanced by the sugar. And the breakfast came fast, was very tasteful and wholesome. Would come here again!

The location is good but the eggs were so salty that they were inedible and the kitchen and wait staff wouldn't take them off the bill. They did offer a free coffee but it was as we were paying the bill so not a reasonable option. The french toast was delicious.

Service and food is very good! My girlfriend and I enjoyed a super fulfilling warm pumpkin soup and a mixed appetizer platter after we got caught in the cold rain of Berlin. This was the perfect place to recharge and enjoy some really colorful and diverse food!

They have a great menu with a lot of vegetarian options. We had two of their brunch options and the serving was great. Quite satisfied.

Super nice restaurant, especially for breakfast. You can get classics like Açaí bowl but also fancy russian dishes like brioche French toast. It’s even possible to get a table when you show up spontaneous on a Saturday morning.

Definitely a really really cool restaurant. I have been here twice and I have loved my meals both times. This salad bowl with some Christy chicken, dumplings and cheese is simply delicious. - highly recommended - service is ok - cosy place 💜 Editing my review to mention that the service can be really slow during lunch times in the afternoons! Went there this week and they had just two people serving a busy restaurant ❤️

Had a very colorful lunch at Datscha, large portions, and good variety of options on the menu. The interiors looked interesting but we opted to sit outside as the weather was nice.

Amazing! I think we arrived just after 10 on a Sunday morning and there was no need to queue. Great choice on the menu. We shared a 2pers platter between the 3 of us. Friendly and hard working staff!

While the brunches aren't traditionally Russian, they are inspired and unique in taste. Lots of textures and quite the choice of sauces. The Russian drinks were a lovely addition to my morning. This was recommended to me by a young, local Russian couple who know a thing or two about brunches in Berlin.

  • 2/5 Cam C. 2 years ago on Google
I had been there for brunch a couple of years ago and found it nice. I went the other day for dinner but was really disappointed. There were not so many vegetarian options and I think the food is really overpriced for the quantity and quality, so are the drinks. For example, we had spreads as a starter (BROTaufstrich) which was served... without bread.

  • 5/5 Veyland L. 2 years ago on Google
It's not a bad place. Despite the relatively high prices, you can get a good meal of traditional Slavic cuisine here. The service is good and the atmosphere is pleasant, especially when sitting at the bar. Highly recommend!
