Dreadful excuse of a meal. I had chicken schnitzel with potatoes and salad. The chicken was a ready made frozen from the supermarket. The potatoes were not fresh/ cooked well. The salad was dry AF. This business is only surviving as a tourist trap as it claims to have authentic German food. The waiter asked for a tip after providing no service at all, ballsy move I'll give him that but no thanks champ.

Very bad experience with the bad attitude of the waiter and the disgusting food. They served me with a dish that i didn't order before and be rude to me!!! If anyone want to taste the German food, go other restaurant. The worst food that i taste at here. Look good but the taste.... U can't imagine...

Menu is expensive. I don't know if I have eaten authentic German food as it is not a cuisine I know so much except for the classic "wurst" street food snacks you can also find in many corners of Berlin, but I have honestly liked what I have eaten. As said again, it was expensive and food was not something special, but I have enjoyed it. Talking about the service, we have been served by the Asian waiter who has been very polite and who also cared everything was okay. We are really satisfied just for how he dealt with us. Honestly I would have given max 3 stars to this place (for the prices compared to what we have eaten), but just because of the waiter service I give 4 stars. As written in the past, for me the best important thing (even more than the food itself) is how the staff deal with me, so if I give a low rating to a place which makes great food but has impolite staff, the same I give good rating to a place like this (even if not 5 stars) because, despite price/quality value was not much high, I have really enjoyed the dinner and want to publicly thank that waiter for how he served us. The place itself was also cool.

The food is visually good. Only 200g of the 300g steak was edible. The processing of what was actually a beautiful piece of meat was absolutely inadequate. And the request for a 10% tip on the receipt is a disgrace to me. I definitely can't recommend it.

Ummm mixed - three of our 4 meals were great. The waitress was pleasant. However when the €20.00 streak turned up over cooked and no one came and asked if all was alright and then we spoke to the waitress who said she couldn’t do anything, the. Go the manager who tried to tell us his fillet steak was lumpy and therefore cooked unevenly. What a joke! So I would say Aviod there are better places. And the other comments about the tip are true too. 😀

Nice little place with plenty of outdoor seating however it’s covered by a glass roof so even if raining you can sit outside which is nice. Staff was really nice and let us have a look at the menu before seating down, service was fast and the food taste great my only issue was I felt the portions were a little small but that aside the food was great. Be sure try this place out if your about.

Food is not very very good but potato soup is extremely warm. Order different drinks and special green color beer 🤣🤣 not recommend Staffs are friendly so make it from 2 stars go Up to 3. No regret if you didn’t try 🤞🏻

“Great German food” All I wanted to do was to eat German food when I arrived in Berlin, we were lucky enough to be approached by a young man that assured us that they served authentic German food, he was right the sausage was fantastic and the beer was really good, the wait staff were very helpful and as they noticed that I didn't have a clue, all I did was tell them what I wanted and they advised accordingly and I was not disappointed. Really good food and great beer.

The restaurant is now called Bayerische Spreestuben. I DO NOT recommend this place. Not only is the food overpriced and mediocre, but the staff is also rude. I had an American Express card on me, and instead of politely stating that they don't accept AmEx, he threw my card at me and yelled, "We don't take this card."

Good German cuisine restaurant with descent dishes and good service. To be honest I read the negative reviews before I visited the restaurant and judged it based upon them but I didn't encounter any of the reviewed problems. The meat was great, no problem with the service or the bill, salads and soups were the best I ate in my 3-day visit to Berlin. I would totally recommend it.

Location: Very well located, on a busy pedestrian square. Atmosphere: Classic, nothing special Service: The service was fast but not very cheerful. Flavors: We took 2 Currywurts, it was OK but nothing more, the fries were not good. Price: The prices are too expensive for what it was, a fast food type price would be more appropriate.

Tasty food and various German dishes. Average quality-price ratio (given the location). Friendly and attentive staff. Good facilities. Nice terrace. Service a little slow. But overall I liked it.

The words “Bayerische Spreestuben” can quickly lead you astray. The waiter didn't use a piece of paper, a pen or a tablet to write down our order. The result was that half of our order was forgotten. When asked, at least the fries for the child came. The bread with my fish was forgotten again. So asked again. That's annoying. The schnitzel was more like breaded molded meat. If I had done my research beforehand, we probably wouldn't have come here in the first place.

The food was tasty. Service was ok. But they don't accept cards unless the total amount on the bill is over 40 euros, so we had to look for an atm, luckily it was nearby. Also for some reason the waitress mentioned that tips were not included in the bill..

Be careful, the setting is nice but expensive for what's on the plate. The currywurst is ordinary. A big knacki sausage. Pretty good salmon burger but no side dishes. Too bad, we should have read the comments which are also very mixed on the quality.

Small portions for a lot of money. Unfortunately only warmed ready meals. Better for the money you can eat much better elsewhere.

Hello folks, short summary of this first-class taste experience. My comrades recommended me a fine restaurant for food and drink. Accordingly, I immediately embarked on an exciting journey to an area that I had never seen before. When I got there I immediately spotted chimpanzee-like creatures. There I felt like I was on a safari in Tanzania. The menu contained extremely culinary delights. I decided on a tender piece of horned cattle and drank some alcohol. The payment was not appropriate for the feast. When we got home it was worse than in Cherrapunji. I was allowed to clean my bathroom, bedroom and living room for 2 days because I left some body fluid in every conceivable place in my apartment complex. After consulting with my colleagues, I entered the wrong restaurant. The next sailors may want to pack diapers as the trip could be very stormy. When I think about it, it wouldn't have been fun given the crowd. The bottom line is that anyone who can read has a clear advantage. Still 3 stars because I was able to completely “detoxify”.
