We
arrived
at
19:30
and
whilst
we
didn't
have
a
booking,
they
were
able
to
offer
us
a
table
for
'only
60
minutes'.
We
ordered
3
drinks
at
19:35
and
two
more
at
19:45
(when
two
more
friends
arrived).
The
first
three
drinks
came
at
19:50,
but
at
20:10
the
final
two
drinks
hadn't
arrived
so
we
asked
the
waiter
and
they
said
they'd
check.
The
drinks
only
arrived
at
20:15
at
which
point
we
highlighted
that
we'd
soon
be
leaving
as
they
needed
the
table
back
and
therefore
we
couldn't
accept
the
drinks.
One
member
of
our
group
said
we'd
take
them
if
they
could
offer
us
a
discount
to
which
the
waiter
replied
'of
course'.
This
seemed
to
work
well
as
the
drinks
would
(presumably)
have
gone
to
waste
otherwise
and
we
only
had
time
(due
to
time
limit
on
the
table)
to
drink
half
the
drinks.
When
we
went
to
pay
however,
we
were
charged
the
full
amount
for
the
final
two
drinks.
When
we
questioned
this,
the
same
server
simply
said
'you
drank
the
drinks,
you
need
to
pay
for
them'.
When
we
reminded
her
of
the
conversation
she
simply
walked
off
to
speak
to
a
colleague.
She
returned
and
said
could
offer
us
50%
off
as
a
good
will
gesture
which
we
accepted.
My
only
regret
is
the
tip
that
the
rest
of
the
group
had
already
paid
on
the
assumption
that
we
would
be
getting
a
discount
without
having
to
discuss
it
further.
Ultimately,
had
we
known
how
long
the
drinks
would
have
taken,
and
the
level
of
discount
that
would
be
offered,
we
simply
wouldn't
have
accepted
the
drinks
as
we
were
able
to
drink
less
than
half
of
the
drinks
in
the
time
they
allowed.
It's
a
shame
as
the
drinks
are
good,
but
they're
not
set
up
to
provide
a
quick
service,
and
when
things
do
go
wrong
they're
clearly
trained
to
delivery
good
customer
service.
