Beautiful zoo animals. Friendly employees, beautiful paths the new predator house is very nice, penguins, giraffes,... Very nice facilities. Several gastronomic facilities invite you to take a break. Feeding times of the animals are on the map and can be found on the net. Also if you want to visit the aquarium make sure to get a combined ticket. But it was a time well spend also the ticket prices were good enough! Buying online is good option rather to wait in queue.

There are plenty of places to eat inside. It is very organize and friendly for the kids. There is an amazing playground inside. It is pretty easy to walk with the stroller. I will recommend to check the website to see the eating times of the animals and I will highly recommend to buy the tickets online to enter as soon as you arrive. During the weekends is always full but at the weekdays is always nice to go to the playground or walk around. There is also a nice Store at the exit to get some nice souvenirs

Amazing zoo! You'll need at least 5 or 6 hours to get through MOST of it. It's the smaller zoo, but it's still quite big. Some enclosures seemed to be roomy enough, others the animals seemed stressed because it was a small enclosure. The grounds were well kept, and it was VERY clean. Plenty of shade, snacks and animals.

Our trip to the Berlin Zoo was a lot of fun. The zoo is interestingly nice, neat and well maintained. The animals are well fed and healthy. There were some interesting animals and birds in the zoo, which was a nice change to the usual zoo and native to Germany / that part of Europe. If you are ever in Berlin, do check out the zoo.

Enjoyed about 2 hours of walking around this zoo in early March 2022. On one hand it was nice, on the other hand it was challenging seeing these wild animals stuck for our viewing pleasure. Anyways, it was a beautiful layout, easy to see everything in a couple hours, and a great break in the afternoon from several days of meetings.I can imagine once Spring sets in how beautiful it will be. Really enjoyed the seals!

It is one of the must-see places when you come to berlin, but you'd better spare the whole day while you're here, because it's a very big place. we couldn't finish it in one day… maybe it was because it was cold, I don't know, but the elephants really wanted to go back to their enclosed space and it saddened us to see them like that. panda island was amazing…we didn't miss the commemorative coin either. We try to pick it up wherever we go and this panda coin attracted us a lot with its design. we couldn't see the sloths, it made us sad. We really wamted to see the star I guess.. moreover, we didn't even know if we couldn't find it or if it wasn't there when we went. Food and beverage facilities were very nice and their toilets were clean. Also, we watched and laughed for a long time. If you are a student, do not forget to come with your ID! Don't be fooled by the queue at the ticket purchase, they move very fast...

We first started with the elephants from the zoo. There are toilets at certain intervals, which I think is a super thing. Toilets are clean, not crowded and there are baby changing areas. Again, there were places where we could buy coffee etc. at certain points. It was very crowded, but people were distant from each other. We wore masks in closed areas. If you pay attention to the hours, you have the opportunity to watch the feeding hours. We watched the little monkeys feed, it was so much fun. There is also a very large and extensive playground for children. It is suitable for all ages, including babies.

It was one of the most beautiful zoos I've ever been to. Normally, I don't like the zoo concept. The living conditions of the animals were not very good in the places I went before. However, as far as I can see here, they take care of every animal carefully and they all have quite a large area. The zoo is huge and it may take some time to get around the whole. There are almost all kinds of animals, but there is also an aquarium inside. Tickets for both are sold separately. I think it is definitely a must see place. You can enjoy more if you go when it is not crowded.

Grate zoo for kids and adults! Clean and practical and beautiful landscapes. All the animals are active and happy. The Spielplatz is amazing, you should plan 1-2 hours for that only) The toilets and food kiosks are everywhere. Highly suggest to buy tickets for the Aquarium as well. The best zoo we have ever been

A very big zoo right in heart of the city Berlin. We visited the place on Wednesday afternoon. It was not so busy...very small line for ticket, not very crowded inside also. There are lots of birds and animal inside the zoo and the facility to accommodate them is also very good. As a result one has to walk too much to vist all of them. Detail map is there to help you understand the lay out of the zoo. Some of the cages were empty as some renovation work was going on or some animals were not available at that point of time but such were very less instances considering the size of the zoo. So no complaints on that front. It took almost 3.5 hours to finish it without visiting aquarium(They charge it separately for aquarium). Overall good experience especially for children they were excited to see so many different species of animal. Do recommend it. But be prepared to walk. Enjoy.

Berlin Zoo is a must-visit attraction for animal lovers and tourists alike. This historic zoo, located in the heart of Berlin, offers a diverse range of animals and exhibits. The enclosures are well-maintained, providing spacious and natural environments for the animals. The highlight for many visitors is the impressive panda exhibit, home to adorable giant pandas. The zoo also houses various big cats, primates, and a wide variety of birds and reptiles. It's a family-friendly destination with educational programs and plenty of informative signage. While it can get crowded, the overall experience is enjoyable, making it a great place to spend a day exploring the animal kingdom.

I recommend buying tickets online because then we skip the queues. Huge zoo, large paddocks and easily accessible so you can admire the animals from many sides. Part of the zoo is under renovation, so keep that in mind. We just hit the heat so a lot of animals rested in the shade and were a bit hidden, but it also has its charm. It is worth seeing pandas and feeding sea lions. Gastronomy as in the zoo, rather simple things.

Family, F(31) M(30) toddler (20months) Visited just before Christmas and was expecting the zoo to be busy - far from it! We had basically the place to ourselves. Many of the cafes etc were closed for winter season, but the central restaurant was open, offering delicious German food and snacks... (and English alternatives for fussy eaters!) There are a couple of children's playgrounds too. Toilet and baby change facilities were clean and easy to find. Reasonably priced for a family day out. We spent a good 5 hours looking around with a stop for lunch. Lots of great animals that you can get up close to. Also easy to travel to with a train station literally across the road. We bought the joint ticket with admission to the Aquarium. This was a nice addition on a rainy day and our toddler loved it.

The 3 stars because the visit was in winter. Else could had been easily 4 stars. Located in heart of Berlin. Yet so close to nature. Avery convenient to reach with public transportation. A perfect getaway for family and especially kids. You get glimpse of wild animals. During sunny summer days visit there would be a treat. However, during winters it was just not that great. It was chilly windy day. Mostly the animals were in their shelters and we hardly sighted anything there. The full entry tickets were just not justified in my opinion, should be reduced for such seasons. Only for that reason would say, 3 stars. Hope we visit back in Summer and possibly few more stars, if we get better glimpses.

A very nice place berlin for children to be familiarized with the animal kingdom. Very informative. It is only during the visit that l learned that Pandas only vegetarian and that they are the most peaceful kind of animals. They never harm other species.

I really enjoyed walking around this zoo in the nice weather this week, and the animals seemed happy overall. I would highly recommend checking out the night time exhibit under the tigers and other cats along with the panda exhibit! The aquarium is definitely worth a visit to check out the jellyfish too!

A very nice an clean zoo! We visited the zoo on a week day late in August, and safe to say that it was too hot to visit a zoo. The animals didn't do much. But the experience were still great! Beautiful animals and very easy to come close enough to take pictures without having to battle other guests for the space.

I had an incredible experience at the most visited zoo in Europe. Frederick William IV donated the first animals in 1844. I love nature and to see the German engineered infrastructure for the animals was very impressive especially the mountain goats. I saw a king vulture which is found in the Amazon rainforest. There were Arctic wolves and African hippos . The word hippopotamus is a Greek name meaning river horse . I had a fantastic experience at the Berlin Zoo and highly respect their contribute of rehabilitation towards wildlife from countries all over the world .

Well designed and lot of open spaces to the animals. We stayed there for 6 hours and have to rush through to complete all areas. They do have a sea lion show but it was OK, not the best of the shows. Still, a good place to spend a day with family.

Fantastic. Amazing. Unbelievably Beautiful Animals. So happy that we decided to visit. One of the best Zoo's I've been to: mainly because of the variety of animals we saw and how well they seem to be looked after. They all had loads of space and looked happy. As for variety we saw Elephants, Giraffes and for the first time in my life Pandas. It only took us 2 hours, not including the Aquarium.

Amazing place. Go with your family members, friends and especially children. Take food and water because you need lots of energy for walking. See beautiful animals and birds. If you have time then visit aquarium also. Buy both tickets together which is cheaper than a single ticket. Note: if you are a student then take a student ID card which gives you a discount..

There are so many animals. We went in winter and still saw LOTS. Most of them have an indoor space where they hang out when it's cold and snowing. You can get up so close. AMAZING! Highly recommend.

Beautiful zoo with an amazing selection of flora and fauna. The kiddo really enjoyed the massive playground. Easy to get lost in there. Favorites were the elephants, the eagles and the seals and penguins. As we came in May, everything is blooming and beautifully kept. Colorful flowers everywhere and the trees spend much needed shadows in the summer. Food and drink were somewhat expensive but it's for a good cause so I don't mind. We will be back to explore other corners of the park as it's easy to spend the whole day in it and not having seen everything. 2 thumbs up.

Book at least 5 hours to see the Zoo, get the ticket including the aquarium, leave € 21 and the individual for each attraction (Zoo and Aquarium) it comes out at € 15 so pays off a lot. Tip: If you want a souvenir, there are some machines scattered around the zoo where you can get some personalized coins paying € 2, it's a great souvenir :) (Original) Um dos maiores zoológicos do mundo, com uma grande variedade de animais para conhecer... Bought tickets and then we were told at the entrance that the dog was not allowed in, which was nowhere to be seen on the website, and could not be shown to us on site, it just said that it was. We tried to find a solution with the staff and also with the boss and finally we were told that we can try to sell our tickets to others. Very nice Zoo with great variety of animals indoors and outdoors. You can also couple your visit with the aquarium. Inside the zoo you have benches, you can get ice-cream and drinks but there is also a sort of restaurant. In order to see everything you need to do lots of loops otherwise you may miss an Allée and animals. I was there on Sunday with a lovely weather and obviously it was busy.... But still OK to walk around.

Very nice, clean, taken care of Zoo. Animals are taken care of, they don't look too stressed. I wanted to see panda feeding, but it was very hard because of all the ignorant people who had to block all the view with their phones. I get it, you want to take a photo, its fine, but let other people, who just want to look and not film everything, to see it too. Gift shop is adorable too.

We had an amazing and relaxing day here. To start with, they have ticket machines outside and this was the quickest I’ve ever gotten a zoo ticket, hence we were in the zoo within like a minute or 2. 2 tickets set us back €35. The zoo is pretty big so allow a few hours to see all the animals in a relaxing way by also taking a few breaks at the cafes. They have a wide variety of animals there and taking a seat and watching seals do their thing was amazing. We managed to see all the animals apart from wolfs and bears, maybe they were sleeping :) It’s definitely worth a visit overall, it makes it a brilliant day out.

I don't like the zoos, but Berlin's has a special place in my heart. This is the first foreign zoo that I visited in my life, every time I come to Germany, if I have time, I go there. The animals are well cared for, they have a lot of space. And the terrarium is a separate work of art, where I can disappear for hours. Children and adults of all ages will have a great time in this zoo.

A very nice zoo, however, some experiences lower the rating. You cannot buy a ticket for a child at the express ticket office. Enter the 21st century. The e-shop was not working due to the alleged reconstruction. "German" children are generally very ill-mannered and noisy, which spoils the experience quite a bit for us decent people. But this is a consequence of the general decline of society (see swimming pool reviews).

Beautiful zoo with lots of animals and very interesting facts about them. Good price. I recommend buying a ticket online as there might be a queue to buy the entry tickets at the zoo. On the website they have feeding times for some animals- I highly recommend seeing sea lions! At the entry you can grab a paper map of the zoo, it makes it much easier to locate the animals you want to see.

Perfect place to watch animals in Berlin. Animals are in Excellent conditions and look happy. Berlin Zoological garden is the Best place in Berlin to visit with your children. There are a lot of different wild animals there like tigers, Camel, Chita, Panda, pythons and so on. One of the Best zoos in Europe. Strongly recommended.

It's amazing that such a large zoo can exist in the heart of a city. There were so many different animals to see, even after 4 hours I still missed some things. The zoo has a very pleasant cafe/restaurant area with good food and a really nice seating area. The zoo is pretty large so be prepared to walk. Also be aware that the aquarium next door is not part of the zoo and requires a separate admission. The zoo grounds are also very well kept and just as much worth looking at as the animals

First of all if you find yourself in Berlin you should definitely come and see it. It is an excellent park with many beautiful trees and the river next to it. Really great scenery. There are enough animals to see in some cases but at a very long distance. In other zoos you can and you see them up close. First time I saw Panda up close thanks to the compared zoo. Really wonderful experience that is worth it.

Incredible zoo! Huge one as well with tons of animals. Big enough that it allows crowds to spread out which provides a great viewing opportunity for every animal. Highly recommend visiting, takes about 4-5 hours for just the zoo. Recommend walking through it twice just to see animals moving around. You can skip the aquarium, it’s nothing to note. Spend your time at the Zoo!

A huge zoo in the middle of Berlin city. The tickets are a bit pricy but it is definitely worth visiting at lease once. Lions and pandas were so impressive. The kids playgrounds inside the zoo are also great.

Amazing afternoon in the zoo. Plenty of animals to see in open and indoor areas. Totally worthy. You will enjoy each second of the visit. I bought the combination tickets for the zoo and the aquarium but it is totally unworthy. The aquarium is small and absolutely not a big thing.

We were so fortunate to have such a beautiful sunny day! And the best part? We didn't even have to wait in line to buy a ticket at the entrance. We spent a good half of the day there, and let me tell you, it's absolutely massive! You definitely need some time to explore everything, but trust me, it's totally worth it. It felt like a therapeutic experience to see all those incredible animals, and they looked so vibrant and healthy. It's clear that they are being taken excellent care of. Without a doubt, I'll be visiting again in the future.

Very big and cool zoo! Many different animals to look at. Especially meeting the animals close by, was very fun. My only concern is that all the elephants was standing by the closed doors. Looked like they wanted to go in side, but we’re held outside. Hope they were doing fine.

It is a great place to spend couple of hours. We went with our 3 year old and had a lovely time. We saw a lot of animals including some endangered species. There’s a big play area for kids with many options for refreshments around the whole area. Recommended for a good hangout especially with little ones!

Please see my aquarium post. Long story short zoo would not take my tickets that I did incorrectly book. No refunds. Even though I just wanted to switch days. Paid double since promised kids we would go. No social distancing was enforced. People without masks everywhere. Zoo was a shyt show. Stay away! Dont say I didnt warn you...

We visited the Berlin Zoo on Sunday August 7th. We visited the zoo on the hottest day this year. It felt like the devil was punishing us for our sins by making it seem like 45 degrees. The price is pretty steep for a Zoo(€16) considering the Berlin Aquarium part isn't included. The only free to use bathroom we found was on the other side of the park. Our timing wasn't great because they're renovating a lot of the park. The big cats and rhino exhibits were under construction. Considering that we haven't felt the true and full experience of the Berlin Zoo, I've given it 3 stars. The potential to be a great Zoo is there but we just happen to miss out on it.

We visited in February and we loved it! Definitely the most impressive zoo we have been to ever, very cared for and clean. The queue to see the pandas was quite long but it was worth it, they were really cute. Very organised and the building with the birds that were divided according to the place they were from was also really nice. Wasn't really expensive, and since it had a lot of cash desks outside to buy tickets, even though there was lots of people waiting, it only took about 5 minutes. Totally recommend it, especially if the weather is nice!

  • 5/5 Hartmut W. 3 years ago on Google
Sehr gepflegte Anlage. Also Maske Nicht vergessen. Es war ein sehr schöner Ausflug. Waren um 10 h da keine Warteschlange an der Kasse. Nur die Parkgebühr vor dem Zoo bzw. Bahnhof ist schon übertrieben. Automaten nehmen keine Scheine an.

Always great fun and I love getting my steps in during a visit! With an annual pass it’s just a great day or afternoon out whenever I’m in Berlin. Good animal husbandry is clear with several successful births. People who say looking at caged animals need to realise that unless the world changes this will one day be the only way to see them.

The zoo is relatively not so big, but still has a lot of animals. We came there mainly to visit Panda and I would say just for that reason it is worth to come. I recommend buying tickets online to save a lot of time waiting in the queue. If you want to see all, need at least 6hours. We also liked a playground which is very big and can bring a lot of fun for children a any age.

  • 4/5 Neha C. 3 years ago on Google
We took almost 6 hours to roam around the entire zoo and have lunch in between. The zoo is well organized and interesting tidbits about the animals are on display. They have taken commendable efforts to mimic natural habitats of animals. One criticism is that some animals could have a larger enclosure, it feels a bit too small.

  • 4/5 RASHID M. 3 years ago on Google
Its a good way to spend your time with kids In zoo you will find different types of animal .there is separate building for Aquarium its good to watch but u need a seperate ticket for Aquarium. For adult its 16 euro and if u have student card than u get ticket in 11 euro.

  • 5/5 Fernanda D. 3 years ago on Google
I loved it, it's not so big but you can spend so much time just chilling in the benches or watching the animals. They are improving many areas so it should be better in a couple of months. I recommend you to go as early as possible and buy your ticket before hand.

  • 5/5 Ipek G. 3 years ago on Google

In 1841, the zoologist at the Friedrich-Wilhems-Universität Berlin, Martin Hinrisch Liechtenstein  , persuaded the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm 4 to use not only a loan but also part of the area of his pheasantry  at the Berlin Tiergarten  for the construction of a zoo free of charge put. Lichtenstein wrote a memorandum  to the king as early as 1840 . The text of this memorandum has been lost since 1877. What is certain, however, is that Alexander von Humboldt presented  it to King Friedrich Wilhelm IV, who was awarded the “Most High Cabinet  Order of January 31, 1841 “made the establishment of the zoological garden possible.

The place is superb. You ll fell in love with pandas . Zoo is very clean and well maintained. Aquarium inside the zoo is also worth a visit. Penguins and waters seals are amazing. They are very playful and joy to watch. Animal feeding sessions are worth the time. Orangutans and gorillas will leave you awestruck. All the animals never seems to be missing out on any opportunity to impress you and teaching you worthy life lessons. This place is a must visit for people travelling to Berlin. For kids it's a great learning experience to understand our ecosystem and get along with the nature .

We were in February during the covid-19 pandemic. Closed rooms are closed. but many places where animals are outdoors. we’ve seen really a lot. Great day to spend. You will also need to visit during the warm season when the pandemic ends.

A wonderful and well managed zoological garden right in the center of Berlin. I had a wonderful trip here even though we are currently in a pandemic and felt very safe. The park is clean and packs a lot of experiences into the admittedly small area for a zoo. Kids can enjoy playgrounds while the parents have the chance to eat at a few different restaurants and Pop-up food vendors throughout the park. When there isn’t a pandemic going on, they also host very entertaining feeding and training sessions with some of the animals. Also a wonderful place for a school trip.

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, very few animals were seen in their outdoor enclosures today. A lone wolf howled in despair in its wintry cold and uninviting enclosure. As a visitor you still paid the full € 16 entry. It was also sad that there was nowhere to buy a warm drink or to be warmed in any other way. This is much better solved in Grunewald and you will even be delighted with heartwarming music from the Caribbean. Dear God, deliver this city from this plague!

(Translated by Google) An extraordinary visit to the zoo! We went to the zoo as a family yesterday in beautiful sunshine. We booked the tickets online in advance and presented them as a mobile phone ticket at the cash desk at Löwentor. We booked the period from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. What made the visit to the zoo so extraordinary? It was the calm, the space and the wintry atmosphere. During the entire visit we only met other guests very sporadically. We felt we were alone for the most part. Special highlights: Definitely the penguins, the seals and the active birds of prey. A small drop of sadness: At the pander enclosure, the visitors unfortunately forgot that we are in the middle of the pandemic. Many stood crowded and wanted to see the two Pamder children play in the snow. Was machte den Zoobesuch so außergewöhnlich?

A great zoo with a lot of variety, but also quite a contrast with fairly modern layout and enclosures to some out-dated setups. But the "World Of Birds" was nicely done and the new setup for the big cats is taking shape. Because of the weather conditions around November a few creatures were hiding away. Though enough in-door exhibits were open despite the Corona issues.

I had a great day with my adult daughter. Loved the panda enclosure which also had a small film screen showing them as babies. Bought a book about bees and also bought a pot of honey from the lovely little Tourist shop. Prices were fair. Loads of different animals. The seal cubs were cute. It was weird knowing that we were in the heart of Berlin. I will go back again. Hopefully they will have finished the new animal enclosures for eg..the polar bear. Big thumbs up

Many kids and they will open a cats only house for tigers and lions soon

It's not necessarily the biggest Zoo, but it is very nice and has an aquarium too. The playground is one of the best I have been to. It was a mild damp day when I visited. I bought times tickets online which was good as lines busy buying at the zoo, The zoo itself is fairly large and well spread out. I managed to see most of the animals. Not all of the animals were out but I managed to see the pandas which was my neon reason to go. In dome of the rooms housing the animals the floor slopes down. In the primate room I slipped down to the front so be careful what shoes you wear. I spent 3 hours walking around. If a few more animals had been out it would have been longer. An enjoyable place to visit for half a day

The place is very clean and you will find directions and guidance from signals that will come at handy when needed. There are also lots of mini store sparse through the Zoo so if you are hungry at some point you can grab an Ice-cream there. For students there is a reduced ticket, which is really nice, and if you want to pass the time with the amazing view, there a couple of spots to seat.

To come to this zoo, I think one must come on weekdays rather weekends. It is beautiful though, well kept and had a lot of space for animals and birds. I like the fact that they have space feeding and one for sleeping if it rains or so. One has to take a whole day and please take a brochure to ensure that you don’t miss out on animals because the paths can become confusing after a point. A must visit if you are in Berlin.

The zoo is not big in terms of land size comparing San Diego Zoo or The Toronto Zoo but it does have alot of different spices. The animals' habitats are well organized and decorated. We spent half day there but it wasn't enough. We love the animals feeding sessions by the zookeepers and we enjoyed the petting zone. We fed the goats. The zoo has 4 pandas and the zoo entrance is decorated with the Chinese theme. We enjoyed the visit.

My visit to Berlin Zoo in 2014 was an enjoyable and memorable experience that offered a diverse and extensive collection of animals from around the world. The zoo's well-maintained enclosures and the opportunity to see a wide variety of species made it a great destination for families and animal enthusiasts alike. The highlight of my visit was the Panda Garden, which housed the adorable giant pandas. Watching these rare and fascinating creatures was a unique and unforgettable experience, and the zoo's efforts in creating a suitable environment for them were commendable. The zoo's layout was easy to navigate, and there were plenty of information boards and signs to provide insights into the animals' habitats and conservation efforts. Additionally, the well-planned feeding times and animal presentations added an educational dimension to the visit. However, the popularity of the zoo was evident in the large crowds, especially during peak times, which made it challenging to fully enjoy some exhibits. While it's understandable for a popular zoo to attract many visitors, it would have been more enjoyable with a bit less crowding. Overall, Berlin Zoo offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with wildlife and learn about various animal species. With a more manageable crowd situation, it would undoubtedly be a five-star experience. Nonetheless, I recommend the zoo to anyone visiting Berlin, as it remains a top-notch destination to witness the beauty and diversity of the animal kingdom.

Berlin Zoo's central location in the heart of the city adds to its appeal. It's easily accessible and allows for a seamless combination of exploring the zoo and other nearby attractions. The highlight of my visit was the captivating animal shows and feeding sessions. Watching the seals perform their tricks and the majestic birds soaring through the sky was a treat for visitors of all ages.

Very nice and beautiful zoo. The park is astonishingly filled with nature, and there are lots and lots of animals to look at. Enough bathrooms and food and beverage stores, and lots of trash cans, and some small benches to sit down for a while. Regular tickets are €19,50, but lots of people, for example students, get a discount so it goes down to only €12,- I recommend to visit this!

Visiting Berlin's Zoo was an unforgettable experience, marked by well-maintained surroundings and thoughtfully designed enclosures. The premises radiate care and attention to detail, with animal welfare evidently being a top priority. The animals seemed comfortable, and it was heartwarming to see that no animal appeared to be suffering. At a price of 20€ for a ticket (excluding the Aquarium), the experience was totally worth it. We spent nearly four hours exploring, even though we skipped some of the lesser attractions and focused on the more exotic ones like Giant Pandas, Tigers, Elephants, Gorillas, Orangutans, Malayan Sun Bears, Penguins, Anteaters and Rhinoceros. The time flew by as we immersed ourselves in the sights and sounds of these magnificent creatures. The outdoor King Penguins were a particular delight, though a word of caution: the inside area had a noticeable stink, so be prepared. The aesthetic appeal of the zoo was enhanced by statues scattered around, offering great photo opportunities. And the petting area, where you can interact with goats and sheep, was an absolute must-visit; a joy for both children and adults alike. In conclusion, Berlin's Zoo is an enriching experience, worth every cent and minute spent. Whether you're an animal lover or just looking for a day of fun, it offers something for everyone.

A fabulous 175 years old zoo! Elephants, giraffes, lions, pandas, flamingoes and many more animals in a lovely place full of trees with the best playground! You will need at least 3-4 hours to explore the zoo. The aquarium is also worth a visit. 1 hour should do for it.

Honesty kinda mid… you would think that this zoo would be different from others but its just a regular zoo. They say the most species but some of them that are on the map aren’t there. Highlights are definitely the panda exhibit cause they are living their panda lives to the fullest but the their day exhibit is a little tiny. Also the elephants made me smile cause it does seem like the zookeepers take good care of them and there is this one elephant that is really social and follows the others and interacts with the keepers a lot ! If you have extra time in Berlin then i recommend the zoo.

Sehr schöner Zoo in Berlin.

I had an incredible time at the Berlin Zoo! My visit was an adventure that lasted for three and a half hours, and even then, I couldn't explore everything this vast zoo has to offer. For a mere 20€ entrance fee, I was treated to a truly immersive experience. One aspect that amazed me was how the zoo organized its animal displays based on the animals' natural habitats, meticulously recreating those environments. It's fascinating how they've taken care to group species according to their real-life surroundings. It made the journey through the zoo feel like a global expedition, moving from one distinct ecosystem to another. The attention to detail in replicating these habitats was impressive, making it feel like I was stepping into different parts of the world. The admission ticket, although reasonably priced, did not cover the aquarium section. This was a minor drawback, as I had to decide whether to explore that separately or focus solely on the terrestrial exhibits. Despite that, the sheer variety of animals I encountered, from majestic big cats to captivating primates and waddling penguins, left me awestruck. While the zoo has a restaurant, I didn't have the opportunity to try it out during my visit. However, the availability of a dining option on-site is a convenient touch for those who want to refuel during their exploration. In conclusion, the Berlin Zoo provided an engaging, educational, and visually stunning experience. The thoughtful curation of habitats, the wide range of species, and the sheer scale of the zoo itself are all reasons I would gladly return for another visit. It's a place that not only entertains but also raises awareness about the importance of conservation and preserving the natural world.

If you're looking for an enjoyable outing, I highly suggest a visit to the aquarium. You can explore a variety of stunning sea creatures. The panda exhibit is a must-see as well. Whether you're with family or enjoying some solo time, it's a fantastic destination for any day of the week.

Easily located and has superb transport links from Bus rail and tube. Large acreage to walk round so allow a day. Good facilities with toilets cafes and ice cream stalls everywhere.Animals are well cared for with good access to interior interior areas for viewing. The Pandas are amazing and you get a great view of them. Other Zoos like Edinburgh Zoo never even saw them. Don’t miss this if you are a Zoo fan.The aquarium is definitely worth visiting too at the small extra premium on your ticket.

It was really nice, one of the best zoos. The arrangement and the amount of animals are really awesome. Penguin, Kangaroos we’re my favourite. The aquarium is outstanding one, really amazed by the quantity and quality of the demonstrations.

Big Zoo with plenty of animals to see! Exploring the entire zoo can take you couple of hours easily (I spent around 4 including the aquarium). Really enjoyed my time here, saw a lot of animals and really liked the addition of some fun and not so serious facts about some animals. It is recommend getting tickets in advance!

Absolutely fantastic!!! 5* I would highly recommend you visit the Berlin Zoo if you are in the area. We were very impressed, all the animals you can think of are there! We had a fantastic time and would love to return. Very reasonably priced as well unlike the UK zoos!!

Really great Zoo and an oasis in the middle of the city. The animals have seemingly sufficient room an there is in general a lot of green space in the Zoo. Highlights are the panda’s of course, and lots and lots of other animals. Special recommendation for the aquarium.

Wonderful Zoo filled with so much space, plenty of well utilized areas for the many species of animals. There's zebras, giraffes, lions, tigers, and so much more! You could tell all the animals were well cared for and were in appropriate places such as darker or lighter areas. It's great for all ages and there's plenty of restaurants, and a decent sized gift shop.

The zoo is really big with many species represented, and all in very considerate, big and well-built enclosures. Lots of cool animals to see here (e.g. Sand Cats or Giant Pandas)! Tickets are noticeably cheaper online than on-site, and even cheaper when bought ahead of time. There are also timed feedings which you can watch (both commented and not commented ones) starting from 11:00 onward. Would recommend you to plan for 3-4 hours for a first visit if you want to see most of the animals, attend some feedings, and have time for a resting break.
